I actually like the idea of offline vods. It seems to really help you out, and added benefit to get your VODs channel some more attention after the switch to twitch. Keep it up!
For many its harder to focus when in call with other player. Also you dont your best after certain number of games a day and if you dont reset every now and then your performance will hinder
Ok, so this is what I think. My initial statement was that Ludwig is at best s4 player, but then I watched the video. Lud is: • actually utilizing the game knowledge that he was coached into play. • looking for team fights and watching lanes. • cares about team objectives and mechanically plays well. • understands when to go back to stay in the game. • blames himself when he effed up. He is solid. Actually solid. He keeps his cool.
Lud learned jungle strats like taking 2 camps st once with fid. His biggest issues for a while was remembering to use smiye and other just minor game knwledge stuff. Sure he picks bad fights sometimes but thats never going to keep someone out of gold long as you can pick good fights too. Strean sniping also was an issue i found it incredibly hilarious qhen they said "we have a delay irs 10s" and to explain every way 10s doesnt prevent anything and all the ways strean snipers can use it against him would take hours
while i believe many would take the opportunity to snipe him, sniping in the average elo is almost impossible. there are so many people in silver you just won't get in his lobby 99.999% of the time
I’ve been thinking this all along, Lud plays so much better when it’s just him. He rationalizes, he analyses, and keeps his cool. The 100 hour stream was so frustrating because Connor would play so antithetical to him, and it was clear he was overstimulated and distracted by all the guests and chat and etc. But when he’s alone, playing towards his teams strengths and making sound decisions, Lud climbs. Super good idea to do these VODs instead, I’d rather watch him climb steadily than mauld to brain dead chat takes
True. While I love watching his league streams, this seems to be much better for both his climb and his mental health. 😂 His member streams on YT were also usually much more calm and successful. Basically no snipers, too.
Yeah, when he deduced from a laner's late arrival that the other jungler got leashed and started bot, as well, I why was like: "Holy shit, he must've actually listened to advice while not being watched & judged by thousands of people."
He gets sniped more than any other league streamer right now and its by smurfs and by people of that elo. Just look at any other streamer when they do challenger climbs, they get sniped like crazy but the bad part is lud is still learning and isnt gunna solo carry every game lol
It's wild because when he streams it normally I have a hard time following what is even happening, but him doing it this way I actually understand what is going on lol. I doubt he continues to do this for long but this is some content I enjoy for what that is worth
Hey Lud, would love to just see your progress throught your journey to plat. If you could make more of those kinda vods or even just the games would be fun. Thanks a lot
Keep up the grind offline, chat clearly affects the mental (understandably). This is the clearest and most level headed I've seen him be during this whole run lol happy to see him finally adapt in his build paths as well! Progress!
Genuinely, these offline videos are really entertaining, and he has learnt a LOT. I'm really impressed with Lud, and hope we get more. Freaking awesome work.

Then, when he stacks Armor and MR, he gets Ability Haste too, Ability Haste to his Q, and his spell casting speeds up. Then, he has an AD ratio, so his W…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”
Honestly I think the biggest change is mental whether that’s because of perry calming him down or maybe just chat not being there to flame him. He’s still doing the same stupid shit but doesn’t tilt off planet earth and focuses on winning so he doesn’t keep doing that stupid shit.
It was always clear to me that the rate of improvement was crazy. He is comparing himself to really good players but there are plenty of people (like me, lol) that have played the game casually for years and years that have never gotten out of silver. He picked it up a few months ago and is already gold, that is impressive whether it is from the mindset to improve or just feel for a game like this.
I definitely agree! got back into the game myself because of him and I’m so much worse 😂 been playing around the same time as him but he’s really improving at a fast level. and it’s not like he was always playing at a gold player I remember when he was stuck in bronze and genuinely playing at a bronze level it’s awesome to see him progress
Hearing Lud say "dude why did you show" angrily is insane charcter development lmao, and im not sure he really has the right to say it yet but good on him for knowing
Whoa huge change from the previous gameplay in the 100 hours league. He isn't glue his camera to the jungle and keep switching to lane to see the situation. His gameplay sure is plat level now.
I know he did win the games but I do think those half commits are holding him back, it's better to fight or to run even if it's the worse decision, instead he gets stuck between fighting and running away, even if it happens once or at max twice a game if he just commits to one, with the things he is already doing it will snowball him many games (obviously it doesn't matter if you're bad and I do notice he is getting better at it)
A bit of game sense and not going for Tier 2 Boots first is the best improvement I've seen. Before this, man's been killing his tempo/clear speed by not going for either Bambi or Fated Ashes on first back. Excited to see him hit plat soon (hopefully).
People hating Ud are those stuck at silver and below for years lol. Like I said in his first few vids of climbing. He is good at the game. The main issue is that he doesnt know what a lot of champions do and it comes with experience. The more he plays, the more he knows about other champs and hell climb naturally. His prob isnt the champion pick or whatever. It is just simple game knowledge. People stuck on Silver probably has the same issue. While you 'know' what the champions does, you might not know when is the best time ti engage or disengage. As someone playing in silver all this year, (just got g4) One thing I realized is lots of teammates offer bad advice such as prioritizing objectives like drags or void grubs. Your priority as a jungler is to make sure your team dont feed. It doesnt matter if your team has 6 grubs and 4 drags if everyone is 0/10. Keeping your team alive and ahead, is also an objective which a lot of players doesnt understand. Taking objectives is a byproduct of that. If your team is ahead, you get prio and you win any drags or gribs contest because your team is ahead in gold, xp and items.

Heres what i'll say. Ludwig has learned a lot and the fact that he is off of fiddle is going to help him get better. Problem is hes still pretty lost when it comes to obvious itemization choices. Very first game he takes merc treads over steel plated boots when they have 3 auto attacking champs doing AD damage, a janna, and a 0-3 lux. Mercs gave almost ZERO value into that match up and he bought them anyway. These are the kind of choices that will make his journey harder. That plus hesitation in situations where he should be flashing away from fights but he instead commits harder aka giving a free kill are also holding him back. Its mostly game knowledge thats hurting him. Amumu luckily is decent in the meta right now and is great for doing grubs. The team fight potential from amumu ult helps carry low elo as well. Sadly hes just lacking experience and knowing matchups, build paths and estimating whats about to happen properly. These arent things a coach can really help with.
