You can be both things. It's all up to you. I don't talk... If you never talk to me you would think I was a mute. But give me a chance to speak... You would think am a wizard cause I am extremely fluent and I ooze confidence. So when I am walking, when I am alone.. I practice talking to myself. I read a book silently then I re read it audibly. I practice for the battle ahead. When am called up to speak... I just go
The connection between creativity and openness to experience really resonates with me. It’s like seeing the world through a kaleidoscope-endless possibilities but also overwhelming.
Peterson’s explanation of distal ideas is spot on. It’s like creative people live in a world where every thought is a jumping-off point for something completely unexpected.
As an introvert, I never realized how much extroversion ties into fluency. It explains why some people seem so naturally confident!

I didn’t know confidence and neuroticism were so deeply connected. Makes me rethink what truly defines someone as confident.

Hearing him talk about managing his nervous system over time gives me hope that we can balance creativity without losing its spark.
Jordan Peterson is right ✅
Glad you think so
I never thought about fluency in this way. It’s interesting how simple tests like the one with words can reveal so much about our cognitive abilities.
The main takeaway from this are that there are a ton of 4-letter words that start with S.
This makes me wonder if my own creativity is more tied to my anxiety than I thought. Maybe it’s all connected in ways I never realized.
I can totally relate to the idea of being overwhelmed by thoughts. Sometimes, it’s hard to focus on just one thing when your mind is always racing.
True 👏
