    Needs thermally broken brackets or you're wasting your rockwool

      There is a 5mm blue plastic pad under the bracket when he installs it for thermal brake.

      We have done a lot of thermal modeling and the insulator on this clip is better than nothing but still very inefficient. Bottom line aluminum simply transmits too much thermal energy. It is far more effective to increase the girt strength (keeping it outboard of the insulation) and use less clips. This may require a beefier clip with mounting considerations for light steel studs (3 fasteners per clip) but in the end you save labor on install and energy consumption for the life of the building.
