Thanks for another great video. Similar to you I dreamed of the Avante a kid I would go to Hobbyco in Sydney every Saturday just to look at it. 30 years later my wife surprised me with one last year for Christmas. What a great build. Have fun can't wait to see the build video.
Thanks mate. That's awesome! I bet you were same as me, pretty much given up the idea of ever owning one. Until the re-releases came, I am really grateful for re-releases! Hopefully I can get my Futaba radio this week and start the build, I use FlySky in a lot of buggies but I think this one deserves at least a brand that was around back in the day. 👍

I think the wheels do it for me, it looks like it should perform pretty well pulling out of corners!, You'll have to test it on dirt for us 👍

Very nice, I lost a plenty of drool as a youngster looking at all the kits at the hobby shop. I too had a similar memory at Hearns Hobbies except I came out with nothing LOL. Another one on my massively growing list of wanted cars.
Thanks. Yeah I think we all did that as youngsters. I remember one shop I used to frequent, the guy was never too happy to see me. I'd go there to look around and rarely bought anything, just never had money lol. A new one for my wish list is the Kyosho Fantom EP-4WD. Very dribble worthy! 🤣
@@RCHobbyShed Yep a lot of browsing and sweet f all of buying. Not that I went to the City often but did the trifecta when I did. Hearns, the one in Lonsdale street (think it was called Hobby Place) and the one in Elizabeth street, which was up some stairs from memory. Now that Fantom EP-4WD re release from Kyosho was left of field, it's my favorite in my collection.
Wow they are expensive! I bought a new assembled kit with box and everything for 325$. Got a vintage first run 88 for 170$ two months later. I got lucky!!
Love the new rear tower supports they look awesome hated the originals ones. Nice build looking forward for another video.

I know what you mean mate. I thought long and hard before buying it, then had buyers remorse the second I did 😂. When I bough it I figured they're only cost to cost more later so I'll get it now. For sure mate, they're one sweet looking machine. 🙂👍

Thanks Paul. Wow, didn't hear that, who knows? That would explain the lack of stocks everywhere, that and the rona of course. I heard some countries are only shipping by sea now, that could be part of it. The build video is coming soon. I will run it for sure, but maybe I'll drive like a sissy and on grass... Or it might hit the BMX track, all depends on my mood at the time. 🤣

Thanks for the video mate, that's a really nice buggy . I wanted one when I was a kid to. Wife bought an Axial crawler Scout. I don't have a crawler and the next one had to be a kyosho or Tamiya. I bought a Freelander F150 . Cc01 chassis. I love the Arrmas and modern rcs but nothing looks as good as the Tamiyas and Kyoshos. If I get bored with crawling can always use a Tamiya lowering kit and put a brushless motor in so it hammers but I think I'll like this beast . Easy to upgrade to, I bought a bearing kit as well. The addiction has begun, nearly bought a Tamiya buggy and the turbo scorpion is a beautiful car. I'm going to want them all. Take care mate, can't wait to build this beast.
Thanks mate. Ah the old Inter' Scout, good to see Axial have made them RC! I hadn't seen the Freelander F150 until now, they're a nice looking kit. I hear ya, the Arrmas are awesome. That's it, if the CC01 isn't quick enough just add brushless/ Lipos and send it! lol. It is a nice scale looking truck though. Haha, I knew it wouldn't take long, you'll have more RC's than me very soon I'm sure. Take it easy mate, and have fun with your build! 👍
@@RCHobbyShed thanks mate , I'm looking for a brushless combo now . Wife called me at work was very upset ,thought someone died again. Was the Arrma infraction she had on watch got sold. She panicked and bought one from model flight. It's getting bad ,$2600 on rcs in 2 weeks. She nearly bought a kyosho inferno as well. I'm going to have to build a Kyosho next, maybe an ultima. The problem with Tamiya and kyosho is the choice, they all look great. I going to end up with these Tamiya and kyosho cars everywhere. I nearly bought a midnight pumpkin but lost the bid, was pissed but remembered your low rider pumpkin. That's the one I want instead, already ordering upgrades for Tamiya, bearings, alloy steering block and will make it brushless for sure if idont like it as a crawler. They make a lift kit for it , trouble with these is they're too nice to crash . Was thinking about a hobbywing combo. 4,000 kv on 3s. Thing should hammer along. Was worried about the gears but they say theyre very durable. Will let you know how it goes , take care mate.

Wow, memories memories, I went to Collingwood TAFE in 88 during my apprenticeship, I remember going to that hobby shop regularly on the side of Flinders street station and drool a lot, I don’t remember the name, is that the one you’re talking about?
There was also that one on Lonsdale or was it La Trobe st, not sure now.

Wow, small world! Were you at TAFE for Armature Winding or something else? I was in my 1st year then. Yeah the one beside Flinders St Station is Hearns Hobbies, they're actually still going to this day which is awesome. I know there was a couple of others in the area but I can't remember them now. It is sad they're gone though. Thanks! 🙂👍

That one was around $650AUD when I bought it, but I had this for a while. Bought it in 2019 if I remember rightly. You're right though, prices are crazy at the moment! 👍
Can anyone confirm whether the prop shaft is the same length as the Top Forces?

It's very hard to find anything right now. I bought this back in 2018 or 2019 from RCMart, but they're on backorder now. I just read on facebook that Tamiya are bringing out another batch of the Avante 2011 in Oct/Nov 2020. 👍

I've actually had this one for a year or so. Got it from RCMart, I think it was around $550AUD.
