Always look 👀 forward to the Gallery Aquatica TV 📺 videos, well done guys on the install. 👍🏴
Thanks John😊 Cam
Nothing quite like a new tank install! Those Red Sea tanks are sharp!
The shipping crates for these things are worth keeping - my husband used the crate from my XL425 to make the shelves for the water mixing station, and part of the cabinet drawers beside my tank. It was awesome that when he painted the water station shelves gray, he left a small square unpainted to show the serial number. I love it.
Really enjoyed this video and it would be good to see at some point, what the tank looks like after it’s matured a bit. Lol, and I liked the “Whoop!” at the end, pretty much what I did when mine was ready....😁
Some of the greatest content for reefing online!
Thanks Noah! Cam
It just amazes me that the stand is a flat pack like my bookshelf from Ikea, yet it supports and entire tank water etc!! Love the videos!!
Great video cam really nice tank. can't wait to see the tank come together when done.👍👍👍
Man I love you guys, "We have a number of excellent trolleys.... " "... but today we only have this small crappy one" :D
Lol, I was a bit annoyed that the small trolley made it a risky install. The bigger trolleys would have been safer. Cam
Not to be picky ... but some glue added to the edges and dowels will give those edges and panels some added strength to the tank cabinet. But your video is really good and you can see you guys are know your stuff and are professionals ... excellent video .. thank you for sharing your video.. happy days
Beautiful tank, hard to not be distracted by that subie in the beginning though!
Great video! Loved the step by step instructions about how to get the tank from the truck to inside the house with only 2 people. I have a Red Sea Peninsula 650 coming and this answered a lot of questions about how to get it inside the house. Subscribed. Thanks!
Can't wait to see it finished.
Good work glad you take the time to film whilst doing the installation it must slow work down ,Keep up the good work
Thanks for appreciating that, it does slow us down a bit. I’m always rushing from job to job so it can be difficult to stop and film, but I definitely think the UA-cam channel is worth it😊
Great video great service! Love this channel! 👍🏾👍🏾
Once again informative. Would like to highlight a couple of points.. people should not underestimate how heavy these tanks are, it's not simply the crate which is heavy. Plan ahead in terms of manoevering the tank through the house. Some people need to remove doors from frames to give a bit of extra space.
Good point. We were lucky that it was easy access to the tank location, if we had to go upstairs we would have needed 4 people! Cam
Hey Cam aside from the brilliant informative videos you produce of which I’m a big fan I can’t help laughing at the UA-cam translation if watching with no sound always a giggle, looking forward to popping into the shop when I’m in Oz in January.
Best wishes keep up the good work👍
Yes, occasionally someone sends me a screenshot of the translation. It seems my name translates to Ken😂 Cam
Awesome video guys!!
Awesome video mate. It's was great to see you guys at reef stock :)
We might catch you at the next one too, it’ll be here before we know it😂
Excellent work guys really great to see this and really nice to know you offer this service for when that next upgrade is due 😉😂
We will be waiting for your call😉
Love you cam you top guy... keep up these awesome videos
Love your channel, this was another great video 😊
Love the Australian tank builds. Where is the heater? Lol
Probably in the chiller. I can’t quite remember but most tank builds back then had Tecos that would heat and chill. Cam
Hello, important to put additional support in the mid span of the sump area to give additional support to the tank to avoid any future issue
J'adore RED SEA !!!
Merci ... 👍👍👍
Awesome video man.
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Great job and great video again wish I lived there or you guys where in USA too. Why didn’t you do Aquascaping before water??
We only had half the rock and very little time. Also the client is going to do the scape on this tank😊 Cam
Gallery Aquatica TV okay thanks again great job
If I figure out how to send stuff it's gonna be gift certificates for pedicures. Cams famous feet
Drink every time he says "so" haha
You will end up SO drunk😂
@@GalleryAquaticaTV hahaha
Great show. Just subscribed.
Thanks Gary, much appreciated😊 Cam
I love your video's! Is the cabinate on that Red Sea tank made of chipboard or MDF?
Hey Mate, loved the video. I’m in the market for a new build here in the states (California). I’m down to choosing either a Red Sea Reefer 625 G2 or Waterbox Infinia 215.5. What are your thoughts as to which is best? Thanks
Great Video, I purchased redsea e-260 but not adding the plumbing for sump as leaving as all in one system in the back. My question should the caps for bottom of tank be locked into place from warehouse.
Please do update us on the tank!
Ok so if I could afford to take a vacation I would like to come be your helper for a couple of weeks, LoL. The stuff I would learn, and I think it would be a blast to be able to set up systems. I would wear shoes though LoL
We pay our work experience people in meat pies and lamingtons😉
@@GalleryAquaticaTV
Not a problem for me LoL
Waterbox all day long for me!
We sell them too, very good systems also😊
Great build video! How would you describe the overall build quality? I’m not a big fan of the hardware you showed and also the stand material looks like particle board. The tank itself looks beautiful. Also plumbing looks pretty light weight quality. Any input?
The tanks are great, the cabinets have been improved and are much better than the old ones, the plumbing is adequate in my opinion. Overall they are very good systems. Cam
Another great video. Have you guys noticed any issues with the stands for the larger Red Sea tanks. There have been some posts on various forums that mention that the stands on the bigger RS tanks sag over time. I'm going to be in the market for a new tank in the spring (northern hemi) and I'm torn between Red Sea and Waterbox.
I’ve installed heaps of the big Red Sea tanks and never seen the sag in person. It’s definitely something to be aware of, but I’ve always assumed the tanks I’ve installed don’t suffer from it coz I’m always so careful to get the “feet” adjusted perfectly. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Cam, thanks for the reply.
You said cloudy, but that is some of the cleanest sand I’ve seen!!, I guess u don’t believe in the “live”sand like Carib Sea brand ??
Yeah, I wasn’t expecting the water to be anywhere near that clear! We do use live Caribsea, it just happened we went a different option with this tank. Cam
What are the black suction things called?
That was a really good video Cam! Without the price of the tank, how much do u charge for a job like that please?? 😀👍
We typically charge $100 per person per hour, so this would have been $500-$600. However this customer bought everything from us so we did a huge discount on the install. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Thanx Cam! 😀👍
an aquarium so dense and heavy, that after full of water and with substrate and rocks it must exert an enormous force on this cabinet.
I just have the feeling that this cabinet is fragile for this aquarium size?
Cam have Red Sea notified Aussie Red Sea owners and LFS about the cabinet issue? Are you guys getting the support fix to keep the tanks from blowing seams and leaking?
Yes, we’re all over it thanks😊
I have a Red Sea Reefer. And I can tell you the plumbing is inadequate for 250l.
It's definitely hopeless for 625l!
Nice tanks, but they completely let us down with thin plumbing and inadequate Herbie style drains.
Totally ridiculous. And so easy to fix if they bloody cared.
I've got the 625xxl and no dramas with the plumbing. My main issue was with the return valve, it had too much power on the front glass causing sand to move. Just changed the nozzle with a random one
@@lukemilne6922 I find the membrane valve quite fussy. And the secondary drain is quite loud.
And the pipe diameter is just not good enough for high turnover.
What sand was that y'all used?
This was Serenity brand, but we often use Carribsea Fiji Pink. Cam
Did I miss the leveling part?
Yes, we didn’t film it. Amazingly it was level first time. Cam
Any thoughts on using this tank for tropical? Oscar fish????
You could definitely do it. I’d recommend a net cover to ensure nothing jumps out, but otherwise they work great as freshwater tanks. Cam
Did you manage to get the cabinet done in the hour you were aiming for? I bloody hate flat pack stuff lol
No, it took 2 hours😩 I was late for the following job. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV better to take your time than end up with a "finished cabinet" and a couple of "spare" screws lol!!! Especially with a beast of a tank like that going on it,
Keep the awesome vids coming 🤘
like it ^^
Do you use dr Tim's.... to start cycle with no love rock or fish?
We do use Dr Tim’s, we actually supplied some for this tank, we just didn’t show it on the video. Cam
I want a red sea as my first tank but I hear the cabinets aren’t great. Do you recommend sealing the edges to water proof?
Go Waterbox. I bought mine from Gallery Aquatica, High end cabinet.
Do you want an apprentice?
How much does the aquarium (tank only) weigh? Thank you.
I’m not sure exactly but it’s possible to lift with only 2 people. Probably around 150-200kg is my guess. Cam
Hi Cam what return pump did you use here ? Thanks
We used the Sicce Syncra 6.0. It’s the first time I’ve used them, but it took the same size soft plumbing as the tank and seems really good. Cam
You put the sand in without cleaning up all the styrofoam pieces
Yes, the styrofoam floats so it’s easy to net out after the tank is filled😊 Cam
Gallery Aquatica TV I’d imagine it would get trapped under the sand, unless you stirred it around. Awesome tank though, but I would have removed the debris first.
Cam! Your wearing sandals! 😮Now you're bare foot again😞
I went to a shop the other day that sells nothing but shoes and sandals and other footwear! I put a pair of fully enclosed “sneakers” on laybuy. I pick them up in June 2021 so soon you’ll see me in shoes all the time! Cam
Sandals and bare foot, some people like to live life dangerously while dealing with heavy glass boxes. Let this be a lesson to all you kids. Wear steel toe protective shoes when dealing with very heavy items unless you want to lose your toes or feet.
Why does the caption says “gay roofer” at the beginning?
I open the dialogue with “G’day reefers” and UA-cam doesn’t quite get my Aussie accent. Cam
You're just gonna put the sand in without cleaning the inside of the tank and leave the styrofoam bits in there.
Yep. Styrofoam isn’t toxic so the easiest way to remove it is using the filter socks. Cam
