Ugh wish MBV would tour again. Lmao pretty cool to see Debbie playing with Thurston.. too bad his actions broke up Sonic Youth.

Thurst is an hero. His health problems didn’t stop him and he gave his best. Sonic Youth fans never deserved him.

Look, to each their own, I respect people’s choices in music. However, you would not catch paying money to see some 87 year old “musician” go all sugar overload on his guitar with ear piercing effects and tell me it’s worth my time. Call me a hater, but to be famous for barely playing the guitar and some how have fan followers is mind blowing to me.

Many people have been missing the point ever since Thurston picked up a guitar, but that's ok.

@@silentqueue2344 what? Is he the greatest guitarist but as soon as he touches a guitar he immediately develops Parkinson’s disease?

Ok, so you've scratched a particular itch in your little screeds but the ad hominem attacks you employ should be beneath you.@@einnaoeilifu2648

I think there are many different types of music and it's up to the listeners to choose what they like. I believe this to be a good thing. Whether you like this music or not, I think the fact that Thurston has been able to make a career out of the music he wants to do speaks for itself. There clearly are many who do like it and want to pay for it. And that is a fact you can't argue with. Of course you are more than welcome to have an opinion on it. Personally I've bought every album Thurston has put out and will continue to do so as long as it interests me. I think it's a gift that there's so much different music for us to choose. Also, his age has absolutely nothing to do with what the music sounds like.
