Hi Mark
Another great video you have produced. One your videos l watched before which was on
Electrical testing.
I showed this video to my 3rd year Apprentice group, they did like your video.
I will be showing this video to them as well.
This particular group will have to complete this year 2 three hour practical exams.
One on fault finding the other on an installation certificate, also two theory exams.
The board you demonstrated reminds me of consumer units when I worked in France.
Their consumer units are all double pole. Including circuit circuit breakers or rcbo's.
If I remember correctly there was made by Schneider . French consumer units are unique, they operate similar to the one you are showing.Brian
Wow Brian that is awesome. Means a lot. Glad you and the students thought it was okay
these are great as the 125amp works easily with a solar inverter connected too
Can a single phase double pole RCBO be installed to this consumer unit for an EV supply eg ?
I believe schneider have that in the range. Unless you mean a double module rcbo. In which case the hoards allow for configuration to accommodate that. Thanks
Hi Mark, how do you install a SPD in the DC (Consumer Unit) thanks.
How do you connect a spd?
Nice demo 👍🎄⭐️
Thanks!
Can you help? I am an adult learner not far from you I have passed my level 2 exams but have to work under supervision of an electrician what else do I have to do to get employed in the industry? Thanks in advance
Hi mate. Are you looking to get some site experience to build a portfolio for the NVQ? Happy to try and help
@@electrician247 yeah the route I took is complicated but if I can build a portfolio I'm hoping that will make me more employable
Great vid
Cheers Richard
Just need more manufacturers to follow suit and someone to do a dual neutral bar so main RCD's can be fitted for split load boards though the cost would probably be too great.
Check out the new eaton boards mate. They do just this.
@@electrician247 I haven't ventured onto their domestic/single phase listings in years (got a little peeved with Memshield 2/3 ranges not being compatible and Mem2 being a pain to get hold of). That said we predominately use them for 3 phase installations, if you're recommending them I'll have to take a look and consider them again.
Nice bit of kit but to pricey
Yes that's true it comes at a cost.
