  • Dr. Nilsson will present his patented COMPACtenna invention of small High-Performance antennas that helps allow passage into garages and provide a stealth solution for Homes & HOA's.     Dr. Jack Nilsson is an inventor of revolutionary Antenna Science & Technology.     When this guy talks, I'm lost but I love the enthusiasm. I have the Scan III on the corner of my vehicle and it's the best antenna I have ever used for mobile. I'm on GMRS more than ham and it's great.

    The VHF/UHF and the ScanIII models work very well when your mount location has very poor or no ground plane. For that purpose it is fantastic when compared to other antennas. Still, the other various mobile antennas tested worked better with a ground plane. Basically, a Compactenna is a tool to have. I’m happy with mine.

    I want to see a radiation RF pattern, particularly what it would be upon being mounted on the roof of an average-height pick-up truck. Or, maybe, mounted about (approx.) 20 feet off the ground. Then, maybe, I might buy one from Ham Radio Outlet to use on my 2nd-floor apartment balcony railing. I know already that HRO would appreciate my business, as I've been a past customer.

      @@HamRadioOutlet I have one and have used it. Read my comment again...he blasts right past any actual explanation as to how it works. An assumption here is either he thinks the average ham is too stupid to understand, he's using some smoke and mirrors, or both. They are too expensive to cut open for science, but someone should.

      @@HamRadioOutlet "Images", really? I couldn't seem to find any 'images" on Google of the particular antenna; 20m/2m/440 of it being cut open or disassembled! And no reasonable person appreciates their intellect being insulted.

      @@charleswoods2996 Took about a minute of searching to find the patent, complete with diagrams. There are images on the QRZ forums of COMPACTennas cut open. It's a bit late to mention a 20m/2m/440 "particular antenna" when his discussion talks about all of his antennas, and you only mentioned this "particular" antenna 3 comments into the thread.
