By the by, guys, Ms Woods literally wrote the book on Celtic harp and is one of the most respected harpers around. Aside from a quite utilitarian video here, you also get to hear her play Carolan, which is just about as good a musical experience as you need on UA-cam. These are very nice harps, too. A fine demo!
I have been looking at the Crescendo 34. After hearing the other harps all together like this, that confirms my choice. Thank you for doing this video. That was helpful.
Thank you so much. I am looking for my "forever" harp. I'm not young and will never be a performer (except in the folk club!) but I do want a harp that will sound beautiful...mostly for Carolan, so this video is spot on for me. The Crescendo is right at the top of what I can afford, but having listened to this, I am clear that it's worth it.
It is called "Eleanor Plunkett" by Turlough O'Carolan. You can find it in my "40 O'Carolan Tunes" book. www.harpcenter.com/product/40-ocarolan-tunes-sylvia-woods

She is also a nice and friendly person I have talked with her a few times on the phone.

The elegant and beautiful sound calms the heart and relaxes in it
I have the Dusty Strings Ravenna 34 and I love it. I've only had her for less than 2 weeks and find I can't leave her alone for long.
