Thanks to Proton's race division, R3, the Satria Neo R3 Clubsport is born. Limited to 20 units only (actual numbers are 18), this Satria is fully stripped, caged, and finely tweaked for the one-make race series. Never actually heard of the Clubsport before. The fact that it actually has a legal road use roll cage made this even more interesting.

Just an idea. how bout putting 1.0L ecoboost 3CYL or 1.5L ecoboost 3CYL in satria neo & also 6speed padel shift transmission that it mates with... wonder with workshop does this? any suggestions guys?
It will be too much work to get the engine, gearbox & driveshaft aligned properly. Then heading to hair wirery stuffs, in the end it would be cheaper buying used Mk7 GTI. But I'm sure there will be someone crazy enough to do it on day :)

Mk7R drives so much better but in terms of looks and interior are something else

Because the recipe of both mk6R and mk7R are so similar (2.0 turbocharged , AWD) all these while I thought two are very similar in driving feel ~ both mk6R and mk7R as a very capable , clinical performance machine that deliver insane cornering and straight line performance through sheer loads of grip. I never anticipate mk7R would drive much better , guess there’s a qualitative difference between the PQ35 and MQB platform.

Double Welded Chassis?
Unlike Satria, Satria Neo's chassis is stiff enough. And we don't need to use any strengthening bars let alone additional spot welds...

Aku dah pakai kete ni, car #19.... Rare no doubt, tapi bawak tak sedap.. The 1.6 engine always short of breath. The older wira c99 has a nicer engine
WRQ? Mmg betul enjin campro ni lemau dari 4G93. Tapi body rigidity & wheelbase yg memberikan higher cornering speed dari C99 Satria GTi. Saya ada Satria Neo & Satria GTi, power lebih kurang sama at 170-180whp :)
Nak sedap bawak, mmg kena dapatkan 170-180whp kat Campro @7-7.5k rpm dengan shorter gear ratio. Whether berbaloi ke tak, up to individuals. #19 WRQ3757?
