- Dennis di Cicco talks with several members of the Celestron staff who demonstrate the latest version of the Evolution series of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and the new Power Tank Lithium battery that provides advanced performance in a small package. Also discussed is the brand new Inspire line of refractors which includes features never before found on entry-level telescopes.

That lens cap is genius. When I started Astrophotography I placed my phone to my eyepiece, great for beginners!
18:55 Priceless reminds of how old 1980s shows use to end hahah
My mans. At the right did the mannequin challenge without even knowing it., 😅😂😂
Great job on the beginners telescope. We need to get more young people interested into whats beyond earth. We have been relatively stuck for the past 100 years or so and need to motivate new minds to come with new ideas of how to reach uncharted space and celestron is helping with that. Good job.
excellent job on the beginner telescope the lens cap is exceptional well done celestron
no i have not bought one i have been doing astronomy for over 20 years and helping the beginner is what it should be about especially with eyepiece projection because you want to show your friends
Well, who'd have thought it? An internal battery!! This is cutting edge technology.
really like the new lens cap that doubles up..will that be available as a seperate item?
Any good for serious imaging with the wedge ??
Why dont the CGX mounts have built-in wifi as your flagship mounts? Why is the Evo scope more electronic feature rich then the CGX?
I've found that most product talks don't show and talk image eye view results and clarity vision and photo resolutions qualities. I like other buyers need to know the outcome statistics before I buy. Need real info like what I'm asking. The practical results user info is what I'm asking for
Now the software to have is CPWI Telescope Control... It's awesome! IMHO
Does the battery stop working below 0 celsius like all lithium batteries ?
Omg one of the guys on the Orion channel looks exactly like this guy
He used to work at Orion. Works at Celestron now.
i think bryan used to work for Orion Telescopes.
Celestron Inspire models should come with German equatorial mount. Astrophotography is not at all easy with alt azimuth mounts.
About the lithium battery ... it is stated at '9:00' that it is rated at 6 amp at 12V ...
on the websites with specifics however it is always indicated at being 3 amp at 12V ( www.celestron.com/products/powertank-lithium )
not a problem for most mounts ... however my new EQ6R-pro is rated at about 4 to 5 amps at 12V ... so it would theoretically damage the battery if i were to go with this power source...
I think Bryan was trying to say that the battery is rated for 7AMP hours - 84.4WH divide by voltage (12) = 7 Amp hours. For a mount drawing 4 to 5 amps (which seems a lot) you'd be better off with this bigger version www.celestron.com/products/powertank-lithium-pro#specifications
How bout evolution tech in a CPC?
Yeah that woukld be good to not have to power the cpc from a battery or wall socket, seems strange that cpc's dont have a bulit in battery.I guess they make alot of money from selling celestron power tanks.

They act like an internal battery and wi-fi are futuristic technologies. Why can't there be an internal conduction pathway from the StarSense camera through the camera base and into the scope instead of that hideous curly cable? THAT would be an actual feature you could brag about.
the camera is out of focus....anyone else see the irony
