    I definitely think you are one of the most instructive and entertaining chess youtubers. A lot of them now will try to just play garbage for views. I can't believe you haven't taken off yet, but I'll keep taking in the knowledge while others take their time wising up!

    Well it is true that you're one of the best youtubers. I think the problem with your view count is that a lot of the people watching chesstube are new players watching videos teaching them how to spot forks on c7 and whatnot, but for the over 1500 crowd there really aren't too many channels that primarily go over strategy geared at players that won't miss tactics every game. So your work is very important within the field whose content you base your videos around.

    I found out about you because of the short video you did with eric rosen, so +1 for collaboration ideas. There are educational channels like hanging pawns, for example. There will always be people who know of one youtuber but not the other..
    Thanks again for the content :)

    Something I notice about “big” UA-cam channels is that the quality is severely lower. just make a Magnus video or a trap video where they play horribly for their example opponents to show how good their gambit is.
    Point is I spend more time actually on these because there is a lot to actually learn. The amateur mind series is fantastic btw!

    Andars, absolutely love your content! I was wondering something and thought I'd ask, do you plan on becoming a GM? Is it still a goal on your list? After reaching a level such as yours, do you still have the same drive to continously improve?

    Awesome game. One little idea I had was playing 23. Rxe4, sacrificing the second exchange, then after dxe4, Qxe4 hits the other rook, followed by Qf4 and Bb3. Engine recommended other lines, but I thought it was a cool concept!

  • @framebadger

    OK, everyone who's watched this in the first few hours know that Andras is the best in town - so let's start clicking that like button and feed that UA-cam algorithm.
    Andras, I know it's cringey but you've got to tell people to do the obvious things like that, subscribe, notifications etc. - or I'll start having to lecturing everyone in the comments.

      I went from 1700-2100 lichess blitz as result of this channels inspirational attitude (plus doing calculation puzzles.) Clearly the best channel for aggressive style amateurs. It's [Politically incorrect r word] but yes you have to say like and subscribe.

    • @framebadger
      @framebadger 4 роки тому +6

      @@Paul-ew3yq I'm not at all surprised.
      There are aggressive players who play super weird structures, sacrificing material, wing attacks etc. which can be fun to watch but not remotely what most intermediates need.
      And there are players who play safe and positionally, kind of appearing to wait around for a bad move or a slightly better endgame. But I don't see anyone explaining the hidden reasons for moves in those positions as well as Andras.
      And then there are the superGMs who just say something like "I've got Nf5 there" and it's brilliant but not remotely instructional. Or who do pogchamps and bongcloud speedruns.
      All of the above can be good and entertaining but I know no one else who a) focuses on principled chess AND b) shows the lines they're calculating.

    Just a humble opinion about your "i want thousand views". From my perspective, the videos that have those amount of views are purely entertainment. Not that yours arent, but i would put yours more on the "educational" category. And everything that needs more brain work dont have that amount of views, not even extremely (and i mean EXTREMELY) well produced videos of science have that amount of views.
    Its a pity, but i think that this is how this internet game of views work.
    I cheer for you because your videos are just pure jackpot of information.

    regarding the popularity of your videos: almost all big chess youtubers are not only famous for their chess, but for their humour and for their memes. people don't watch chessbrah or Botez live to educate themselves, but for entertainment. another issue is that you need to upload much more regularly if you want to build a huge fanbase - if you don't upload a lot of videos, then there's no chance that people discover you.

    • @ChessCoachAndras
      @ChessCoachAndras  4 роки тому +1

      More frequently than 2-3 days/video ?

    • @dominiks5068

      @@ChessCoachAndras well you only started doing that very recently, if you go back a few weeks then you can see that you sometimes didn't upload a single video in 2 or 3 weeks, that's bad. if you can keep it at 1 video every 2 days, then that would be awesome
      (I'm not criticising you by the way, I know it's hard to put out so much content. I'm just saying that this is how chess youtubers gain followers... you can see it with Eric Rosen and Levy Rozman, as soon as they put out content consistently their popularity exploded.
      doing twitch streams also helps a lot... most of Levy's followers know him from twitch)
