I got my clp i wanna go t roehl to get my cdl training school trough them . could u please advise me . Which is the best . And how much money do they pay for beginner driver .
I appreciate your insight bro. I'm doing my interview tomorrow and hope to be in Wisconsin soon for my training. I've been studying and taking my CLP in a couple days. I've watched a few of your videos amongst a whole lot to try to see if this is the route for me. Beyond everything else, Thanks bro.
Would you say that the training is good enough to where they have a good graduation rate, would you say they give you enough time to successfully be prepared to pass the pre trip inspection?
@@otrduncan so, you have to complete the knowledge part and also the air break part, once that you'll receive your CDL permit? Then you get your DOT physical and remain on the site and getting paid while on site, correct? ohk. SO let's say at the end of each week, you receive or have to take a test, is that when you'll get paid or how does the test work ?
Not bad. I just focused on getting my cdl. Didn't really go out or anything I was studying most of the time. But the hotel is decent and the program is good. Just stay focus and work hard and you will pass.
How long did it take them to get back to you after "We're Ready to Move Forward" email? I sent my recruiter an email and tried calling yet she still hasn't returned my call or answered my email.
Go to your local DMV, pick up you commercial drivers handbook. Look at the table of contents page. Study air brakes, general knowledge and combination. Return to the DMV and take the test. Your written is going to give you 3 chances but you don't have to retest every section each time. Say you pass combination test but fail general knowledge and the air brakes, then the next time you go in which should be in about 2 days, you can pass the other one but you get a feel for those test exams and read the questions thoroughly you're not being timed, so read the questions thoroughly and if it says do not do this or you would not do this, turn it around and say in order to answer this question I would DO this which makes it easier for you to understand and your answer would be the answer you need. just slow down and use common sense
the closest school is in bensalen, pa... my question is what if the person live far. do they pay your stay ? afteer the school, do u quickly get a job or it takes a while
Thank You, very helpful and positive! Newbie here with a CDL-P getting ready to finish my CDL. If I walk in with zero experience but a CDL from my home state, do I still go through their training program? Also, what about the Ladies accomidations?
My work history isn't steady for the past 3 yrs. Mainly cus I was staying home taking care of my son who has special needs. Would that be a problem when applying. I did work for a full year + and off for a whole year.
I don't want to sound disrespectful, but most truckers that come into this "job" are typically down and out. A general theme is that they hit rock bottom, are unemployed, might have housing issues, cannot scoop up 4 grand for training and cannot find anything else, etc. UA-cam is filled with videos of "why I left trucking", many of them after just a year of employment. Trainees concentrate on irrelevant things such as how they received a "free breakfast" or how "fast" the process went. How about thinking of the long term contractual obligation, the million miles you will be making the company money, how quickly people are fired during the training, the dangers of the road and in accidents they always assume the trucker is at fault, not the young lady with her white fluffy dog, being away from family and friends, being on the clock even when you are OFF the clock protecting the cargo, your health, etc. I have a lot of respect for truckers, but this is a job you have to think hard because trucking is a hard life.
Thats some people issue some who really have the passion to wanna be a trucker .. i made 60k yearly before trucking i own my home and then some all before trucking trucking was just something i wanted to do
@@yourfavoritetruckinbarber360 I am sure it applies to you, but the majority of people work for a pay check. We all begin with an inclination for a job, but you run into reality of long hours, poor pay, sitting in your truck for hours waiting to get on loaded. Go ask those truckers that were stuck in a snowy freeway for 24 hours if they are passionate of their job. You are the exception and not the rule. Either your young or have not worked too long. Again, it is not a coincidence UA-cam has tons of videos truckers hating their jobs. Millions of people own homes and not truckers, not sure what that means. 60k is entry level pay for most government jobs. My garbage man makes 100k and is home at 3pm, no weekends.
I referred ti my home because u stated something about housing issues. I get what you mean though but you cant just say basically people was poor or from rock bottom and decided trucking, i know lots of truckers and most came from good jobs/ careers and wanted a life change .. alot of people dislike their job or certain parts of it. Your garbage man makes 100k because of the long hours and probably been doing it a long time not because he started out at 100k and your right i worked for the government before trucking which is what put me at that 60k. But my point was you cant say that most truckers came in down and out because most actually lived decent lives but some did result to trucking from a bad life - regardless of background as long as they get in there and get the job done and they like/love it why does it matter
@@yourfavoritetruckinbarber360 I am lucky that I come from a different country and see things from a universal point of view. Truckers, mechanics, plumbers etc, in my country those jobs are not desired and are viewed for the lower class. Here in the US, almost every job is viewed as a desired career. Again, I have mad respect for anyone that works. I been working for 40 years plus. I know truckers that left 100k corporate jobs, doctors, real estate people, etc. I wanted to get into trucking for the freedom and I love to go to areas I never been in. I hate office jobs sitting in cubicles all day. So trust me i agree with you. I do investigations for the state and man you should see the stress level and the constant micro management. Even today I was like dang I wish I was going on a 10 hours drive. I did not jump into trucking videos to dog on people. Trust me. I also believe they are lazy people and they will complain about any job. And yes I agree, you know people always fluff up their jobs. I am sure that garbage man has worked for 35 years. I know a receptionist at my job making 80k and they answer the phones, but been with the state for decades. She also has two fully paid homes. She was bragging to me this week. Again, sure we can share stories forever lol. BOTTOM LINE, whatever in life you can make a decent living and you are somewhat happy or happy, more power to you. I got a supervisor that drives me nuts, I might be at a truck stop faster than you think. And many truckers have made an excellent living as well.i
