  • In this video , I take a close look at the Whoop 4.0, a fitness tracker designed for serious athletes. I'll go over the features, performance, and overall value of the Whoop 4.0, and I'll also share my thoughts on whether or not it's worth the price. I think you might already know my thoughts since I've had a Whoop for over 3 years now.

    Hey man, out of all the body composition scales you’ve tried, which would you say is the best as more of a budget friendly option?

      Are you concerned with accuracy of the body fat measurement?

      @@FitnessWithFrost I mean I’m more concerned with consistency over accuracy. As in, I wouldn’t mind the inaccurate readings, as long as any i crease or decrease is shown. Also, how accurate will the other measurents, such as muscle mass be?

      So that is one of my concerns with all of these bad scales. As they seem to use your BMI as an indication for your body fat. So if someone were to gain weight even though it might be from muscle the scale will measure that as body fat. So if their initial measurement was way off I don't have much confidence in being able to show any consistently.
      The only way I see it working is if you lost weight and the body fat will drop with it. To an extent that can also be inaccurate especially if you are only doing cardio and not utilizing resistance in your training.
      So the only thing I have used at home that I would actually recommend would be the Galaxy watch 4 or 5 as they are more accurate than any scale I have used.
      I am still looking for a solid scale for a good price, but nothing I have tested so far is something I would recommend

    What are your thoughts on the emf radiation from sleeping with that next to your head every day?

    • @FitnessWithFrost
      @FitnessWithFrost  9 місяців тому

      Yes and no. When I am testing multiple devices it might be a little bit more in the back of my mind. Overall the science isn't entirely sure if it is that detrimental to your health. Yes having no EMF would probably be better than any at all. Overall I am not that concerned, but I still keep an eye out on any new data for it

      @@FitnessWithFrost I feel like a lot of big tech companies have a lot of money invested in these devices and might not want to fund or conduct research about the long term side effects of exposure to EMFs

      You're definitely not wrong when thinking about that. And long term studies are not cheap. So I totally understand something who doesn't want to use devices like this. They do say if you turn off the connectivity to your phone there isn't any EMF with just the sensors. So at the end of the day you can connect it to your phone to get the data

      @@FitnessWithFrost I looked into that and apparently the whoop still looks for the Bluetooth signal from your iPhone. The oura ring has an airplane mode so I do hope whoop introduces this in the future.

      Yeah that's a very good point. I haven't gotten my hands on the Oura ring yet
