- We have 38 animals on our little Alaskan farm, and some are a bit rowdier than others. We get an unwelcomed visit from a bald eagle that I originally mistake as a hawk.

I had rabbits at one time. And their droppings are fabulous fertilizer. I could not believe how fast and how large my plants grew. And I actually started my garden earlier than usuall. Was aliitle worried at first. Wasn't sure we would get another frost . But my plants loved the nice warm soil which the rabbit droppings created. My neighbors could not believe the results. And how fast and how big and healthy my plants were. I was a very proud gardener that year. 😊 my garden was the talk of the town . Lol 😊

Here's a helpful tip for you if you want to get rid of those horns. I was told to do it and I did and it worked. If that girl is 2 years old you can take the castrating bands and put them on the base of the horns with the castrating tool (can't remember what it's called) The band eventually cuts off the circulation to the horns and they will eventually fall off. The only kicker is they have to be over 2 years old to never grow back again. I guess you can do some research on it. But I don't like horns but I cannot get myself to do the disbudding. Love your soap. It's so pretty. So nice to see the guardians in full service. Wow it's not your day today. Your rabbits are beautiful. That is some pig. Love this episode.
We are twin geniuses! If you look closely on her horns once she is in the big goat pen, we banded Lily’s horns it actually works amazing!
@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska oh who I didn't even notice that. That's great. The horns are a little tender especially when they are getting close to falling off. I have a yearling that I'm going to do that to next year if I still have her. I really don't like horns and the goat also knows they have them and use them against the other goats. I only keep then on the bucks. It's such a great idea, whoever came up with it is genius.

What are the bands on Lillie’s horns? We raise Boer goats horns hurt 😢love watching you guys forgot to tell you we have a Hansel and Gretel too ❤
Awwww! They are such great names for goats. 💕 we usually disbud the goats when they are babies, but when they are grown, we cattle band their horns as a non-surgical no-stress was of horn removal. After 4-6 weeks the horns fall off. 💕

hello there I just have to tell you something and I don't want you to take it the wrong way. In one of your last videos you were showing the road on your way in from work I think. Well when you got to where you could see your yard. I could not stop from laughing. The snow covered up all of the syuff in your yard. Bring back the snow. LOL LOL LOL If my husband and I lived somewhere other than where we live Our yard would look the same.

Before we had Holly and Juniper, we just had Steve the livestock guardian cat. He was amazing. He took out two Ermine, chased off a fox and a German Shepherd all in one week. We miss him. 💕💕

I have to say that this is one of my favorite videos you both have done. Don't get me wrong I love them all but this just had so much extra charm to it. An incredible variety of what is going on. Crystal you need to get yourself a face mask that goalies wear! My god I literally lost my breath for a minute there. My first thought was your eye. Now as for Mr Reeves you need to be careful for the frank and beans! Those goats were getting pretty crazy jumping on you. All you animals look amazing. The goats I could watch for hours jumping up and down. The adults doing there thing bumping heads ... The pigs what a mess! Where did you even start to clean that up!!! Worse than a bunch of teenagers. Your soap Crystal is just stunning and I look forward to getting some of that shipped to me in the lower mainland of B C.
I do not know a lot about rabbits however they are very good eating. I did get bit once badly on my finger even though a friend swore that it would not bite... like hello it is an animal. Happy Mother's Day to all. Cheers

Basically, if you really want soap (and have won the lottery lately, Ha!) we can do a mock order and I can tell you what the shipping charges will be. But pretty much it starts at $32 USD (just in shipping) to send 2 bars of soap with maybe a few lip balms and a flour sack towel will fit too. Then it goes up from there… Be blessed friend!

One more question have you ever put maybe chicken wire above the chicken run for the ceiling so the big black bird can’t get to your animals
As soon as it snows, it gets crushed. So it’s better to “train” the predators that our property is not a safe hunting ground. That eagle went through the chicken coop door to get to all our neighbors chickens. Better to give them a deterrent than try to give them something to try to break into.
