hi indonesian nobody asked here. i have seen a lot of people mad cause layla take her hijab in the end. i think it's just his imagination. not some kind of freedom (to represent the girl oppresed than become 'free'). you know, in the orignal story, layla is dead and than the man that loves her so much become crazy (majnun). so i think it's just his imagination. by the way the actress is acha septriasa, she is very talented and one of high paid actress in my country. i hope you guys can support her. and if you like islamic movie you can watch assalamualaikum beijing and hijab traveler: love spark in korea. the movie is very good and represent muslim in really good way. i dont think you guys will see my commet but i write it anyway 😅😅😅. salam from indonesia. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

"Layla and Majnun" is the third poem of the classic of Nizami Ganjavi (1141-1209 Azerbaijan,Ganja).
This poem is included in "Khamsa" and was written in 1188 in Persian. It is based on the story of the ancient Arabic legend "Layla and Majnun" about the unhappy love of the young man Qays, nicknamed "Majnun" ("The Madman"), towards beautiful Layla. The poem is dedicated to Shirvanshah Ahsitan I, and was written on his order. There are 4600 stanzas in the poem. This poem is considered as the first literary processing of the legend.

If this is truly a representation of your culture then I think you should be proud. It seems like such a beautiful and rich culture.
actually it’s an Arabian story originally you can search it

I saw a lot of muslims in this comment section were angry over samir's last santance I think they didnt get the context,he said''who can live free from the sickness of love"it doesnt relate to hijab at all,and actually the actress doesnt wear hijab most of the time altough shes a muslim girl, according to the two biggest mufasir in indonesia, buya hamka(tafsir al azhar) and quraish sihab(tafsir al misbah) hijab isnt a mandatory thing, becouse the concept of aurat is meant to be relative for cultures
Just finished watching the movie. No Layla does not take her hijab off for Samir, and the movie does not portray her as an opressed muslim girl from Indonesia in need of an Azerbaijani man to save her.
Do u know the title of the song which Samir sends to Layla's phone? (His sister later translates the lyrics for her)

Finally, a modern retelling of an ancient Arabic legend "Layla Majnun". The story goes that Layla's lover was obsessed with her and would recite poetry to her. Her father disapproved and thought it'll embarass the family, so he married her off elsewhere. Layla's lover went mad and started wandering the wilderness reciting poetry about Layla, he died in the desert
Layla and Majnun is in the culture of many Eastern countries. But that is written by great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.
@@muradaliefh Even Shakespeare adapted Romeo and Juliet from an ancient Babylonian love story of Pyramus and Thisbe, which means the story wasn't originally from Europe.
