And his short to medium throws are so inaccurate
@@iF3ARHD he has lots of potential. He’s gonna be good but imo a team shouldn’t draft him top 5. A team like Carolina is perfect for him they really young and talented pretty much just need a quarterback

Sure this is one game, and the only game he had last season. So there's some rust to work off. But if that's the best he can do vs UCA, then good luck against an NFL defense. Should play another year of college ball before bolting to the draft.

Everyone just watches this one game and instantly thinks he’ll be a bust. He threw one interception in 17 games. 39 touchdowns. Also the pocket collapsed a lot that game.
im 4 minutes in and he air mailed at least 3 touchdowns, and got strip sacked twice by UCA. He has miles to go

He has the arm accuracy can be taught with mechanics and footwork he’s relying on that cannon too much but he’ll be good if coached correctly.

Best play of the game for him was the incomplete pass down the left sideline. Went out undefeated but in terms of his draft prospects, his last two games were probably his worst two.
11:46 was a great play, play all and execution was perfect. I think he’d do well in a west coast system that emphasizes running , crossers and rpos.
@@todaywaspretty6309 He does such a good job of selling his playaction. Not that it's the most important aspect of being a QB by any means, but in that one particular aspect, it's almost laughable watching how lazy Zach Wilson is about his playaction fakes for example while Lance really sells it consistently. Lance would be a really good fit for any of the Kyle Shanahan disciples but he definitely needs to become a more accurate passer to become an elite starter.
Definitely got better later in the game. Runs like Cam Newton. Throws super inconsistently. Runs a gimmicky offense where everyones wide open. Needs to become more consistent. He isn't a true 1st round prospect but because of his upside he'll go in the top 10 probably. He CANNOT start his first year. Needs to get his feet fixed for sure as well as his timing. Oh and actually learning how to run a true offense against elite competition. Atlanta, Carolina, Detroit, SF and Las Vegas all make sense (if Vegas moves on from Carr and SF from jimmy handsome)

This kid is a 3rd round pick in reality, this tape is so below average. It’s comical what the media tries to sell to the casual fan. Ruining these kids’ life with these large expectations that they fail to reach and getting them scrutinized by the media/public.
Totally agree... he has a poor throwing motion... you can't get away with that in the NFL... his odds of making it are LOW.

Potentials there. Don’t think he’s a 3rd rounder, drafting on potential/ceiling. He’s not a top 10 pick, but new England’s sitting at 15. New Orleans at 28, I think those are 2 perfect landing spots where they can groom him. If he lands on a team where he can sit and groom,in a few years he’ll polish up and be a top 5-10 starter. I made a prediction a few years ago that josh Allen was gonna be a top 5 qb in 3-4 years during his draft process and people ridiculed me like crazy. There’s just not many qbs who are 6”4 220 that can move with fluidity and throw with ease.

Late throws and really bad accuracy, against a poor defence and not much pressure. I'm not convinced he is going to translate well to the NFL. Once pressure starts and windows get smaller , he is going to throw picks like crazy. Tremendous athlete though.
I wouldn't say not much pressure. Central Arkansas was putting decent pressure on him, but I agree his accuracy wasn't very impressive here.
He's like a running quarterback like Lamar Jackson and Tim Tebow.

I see the strong arm but his accuracy is terrible. He is stopping his WR's on every route. There is also no anticipation in any throw. I just don't see it.
Not that impressed with the showcase game but I’ll give him a pass for the lack there or preparation for the game I can tell u one think he reaction speed and his ability to create something out of nothing is next level
It should've been obvious. Hindsight is 50/50 but if he looked like THIS against high school level players what did they expect? i know every team falls in love with the rocket arm and thinks they can fix somebody. The most disappointing thing though is that his athletic/rushing ability didn't translate at all. He just appeared quicker and more elusive in comparison to a bunch of plumbers.

Don't read to much into this game. He hadn't even practiced in over a year. He got better throughout the game. He just had to shake off the rust. Go back and watch the tape for his first year. He started with accuracy problems by the end of the year was hitting tight window passes. He goes through progressions quickly and consistently (something Trevor Lawrence does not do) and has a more consistent deep ball than Trevor Lawrence. To top it all off he only threw one pick in his career. Trust me I think if you go back and watch both their tapes Lance is a better prospect than Lawrence. I like Lance over Trevor.

Unfortunately, 49ers are going to regret this pick. They got dazzled by his potential so much that they were blinded to the reality that this game is an example of what he will look like when he faces NFL defenses.
Mac Jones was the QB they needed. He played on the biggest stage against elite defenses and was nearly flawless. Lance will be good but not worth giving up 2 first round picks for. Pats were smart to give up nothing and take Jones at 15. Lance won’t be THAT much better than Mac if he is at all.
This won’t end well for the 49ers and I say that as a 49ers fan.
Mac Jones is not worth it at pick 3 he had one of the best o lines in the NFL star studded wide receivers one of the best coaches in college football history backing him of course he was going to look successful. I have no doubt Mac might be a good quarterback but you don’t trade up to future first round picks for a pocket passer if you’re drafting for potential especially in this day and age in the NFL were mobile quarterbacks is the trend. Tra Lance is going to be a stud for this team he has all the attributes that you want in the modern NFL quarterback and yet also has the intelligence to back it up Kyle Shanahan got him because this is a quarterback he can truly mold in his own he’ll be able to do it with time this is about the future
