Very nice jam and inspirational as always. I sold my Oxi in favor of the Hapax's more approachable and immediate workflow and hopefully it would live up to the hype.
@@rogerhunt3031 I always have doubts for every newly acquired gear but I can safely say - i'm more motivated than ever to write music on my Hapax. It is definitely within my workflow
I’m new to this format, could you use this with a daw do you think, and trigger vsts? I’m making Kontakt instruments and wouldn’t mind a controller like this that’s also a sequencer
@Henry Neville thanks Henry , that makes a lot of sense ! Also A friend of mine just got Hapax and he is really satisfied with it. So, the die is cast …
are you sure can hold your liquor? that's 21 vodkas, 7 whiskeys and 11 beers in 17 minutes 😅 (right drinking order: v v v v v b w b w b v v v b w v v b w b b v v v v b w b w v v v v b w b v v v)
damn this thing is insane... can it sample? or import your own samples? if they made a SP404 type device with one screen and 8 encoder knobs they would rule the sampler market... the MPC and SP killer...
Great workflow demonstration Nick! Perfect ratio of feature laundry list and application. The automation lanes and assign knobs on the hapax are amazing, it really feels like an extra level of hands on play that eurorack pays out the nose for.
After watching this a few times, I’m starting to think Hapax might be the way to go for me too. Ableton is great for recording and mixing, but sequencing and syncing a larger hardware setup with it isn’t really fun.
This is probably the best sequencer ever built. 9/10 😮 All it needs is a huge library of Sounds built in and I would give it 10/10 😊 bro. Great Vid. I might Go ahead with something like a Roland MC 707 later ❤❤❤❤❤ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
More hapax videos please!
WOW! I had NO IDEA how amazing that thing is! 🤯 I love the definitions thing
I don't even have one and I watched this entire video. I feel like I'm banging rocks together over here and this dude is pooping out tracks.
This is a great video, showing things simply and from the start. Thanks!
Back after a month. It is an incredible device.
Super inspiring demonstration, i absolutely love, when people have spent some time with a complex gear like that before they make yt vids. thank you!
how would you compare Hapax with OXI one?
great video of the Squarp Hapax!
Is there a site to download instrument definitions?

How's it going for you now? Are you happy with the switch?

@@mmmodular1878what about the oxi one made you want to switch? I’m currently looking at both.
Can the CV go beyond 5+ or -? Asking for Soma ;)

nice job man
Nice job Nick! Ive been using mine as my studio brain for 10+ months and I dont know how I would live without it at this point.
Hapax hero
Are those pads velocity sensitive? I would love to find a sequencer like this, but I sill need to be able to "play" it.
They are not.
I think you can have multiple velocities mapped to each batch of squares as a workaround
Would you say a OT or DT is a nice addition to a Hapax? Or maybe an overkill and just get a somewhat more "normal" drummachine like a TR8s?
what module(s) r u using for drums?
Hapax or Oxi One ?
That’s the questions …🤔
@Henry Neville thanks Henry , that makes a lot of sense ! Also A friend of mine just got Hapax and he is really satisfied with it. So, the die is cast …
@Henry Neville yes , i am really looking forward !!
@Henry Neville So you can have two projects to mix between for sets? Thats awsome
I propose a drinking game. Skull one beer every "Super"; one whiskey every "Duper"; and one vodka every "Cool".

I would not even survive round one. BAC would be 7.3 in 4 minutes.

Holy crankincabinet! You can draw all the shapes!
With 2.0 you can also algo all tje shapes 🎉
Hi do you have any links to where I can learn how to do definitions. Great vid.
short and full of info! thank you
I started drinking a shot ever time you said ‘super duper’ now I’m to hammered to understand what your sayin 🤦🏻
@@technoassassin2671 oh no, its the hammer nazis!!!
Better run before i get crucified...
Great jam, would like to see the hapax and korg sq64 in a head to head sequence challenge
Nice job Nick! Cool studio space too.
Wait what? You need two hands to mute a drum track? (4:58). What? I can't believe what I just saw.
I got so familiar with the pyramid I wasn’t sure about this but note I’ve fully converted❤
Enjoyed the Video! Hope you make more in depth with the Hapax
Thanks for sharing, this kind of what I am looking for, bit over kill as I only 8 tracks, it ticks all the boxes.
Super dope!
You mean supadupa!
this was exactly my line of thinking as well, mine shows up on Monday and couldn't be more excited
super duper man ❤
Love that T-shirt!

I bought Hapax, it’s fantastic. Still in the process of wiring everything up, but I can already tell this is a keeper :)
@@XanderEwald looking forward to see a review on your channel 🙏
Great introduction! But nobody shows how to do TUPLETS.
How to get or do definitions?
Dictionary?
hepax dont have sounds inside ?
I don't know of a sequencer that does. It sequences synths and drums.

External synths are where it's at anyway and this is the only sequencer I know of that can understand data from MPE controllers/synths.
Can you dim the screen & pad brightness? Also can you change the CV from volt per octave to 0-5v 0-10v -5 - +5v -10 - +10v?
Yes to all the things
Hi what's the desktop patchbay thingy to the left of the Space pedal? Looks handy ✨
i was wondering about this too
it's the DF Audio Minibay, it's a great little desktop patch bay for us plebs who don't have space for a rack-based patch bay
@@TheHomestereo Nice. Cheers ✨
