This an amazing DIY tire changer. I wish I ran across this a few years back. My current HFT setup is fair, but I think I want to buy this! Brilliant changer! (y)
It's a good tyre changer. However it does require some muscle to mount the tyre especially 190 50 17. I'd recommend fixing it to some plywood to prevent it from moving.

I know it’s an old video but I have a question. How would you keep a Fat Boy solid disk wheel from rotating when the safety pin can’t be used.
I'd like to know the specification of the pipe in the video.
I want to know the size and thickness of the pipe.
It is a lot tougher with a new Harley Davidson Dunlop tire but is predictable and gives a tremendous mechanical advantage.
I have the version for larger tires and am very pleased with function and build quality.

I'm trying to fit battlaxe bt016 on my wheel. And I'm stuck exactly at 6:30. The tyre won't stretch or bend. It seems like the tire lifts up because the mount head is too tall. Am i doing something wrong? I'm using the proworks tyre changer.
Can you purchase the Duckhead with its extension? I already have a No-Mar and this addition looks like it would make life simpler for me. Thanks for the quick response and where I can inquire further.

Only problem with these type of things is you can't do any wheels with a large centre hole or single side swinging arm wheels .the centre hole is too large and flips about on that small spindle .
Nice, it makes light work of tyre changing. Can you change the front tyre without having to take the brake rotors off though?

Id love to see this done with a cruiser tire like the dunlop elite 4. Cruiser tires are harder to work with

I agree.Harley Touring Model over here.I have uh brand new tire inside yet to be mounted.This thing feels like it needs uh hurricane to shift the sidewalls.Not saying for uh second that this mechanism doesn't seem dam quality and nice.

what stops the whole tire machine from turning as you remove the tire? I understand the safety pin preventing the wheel from turning on the machine- but WHAT is holding the machine? I have the No-mar tire changer and I've got that thing bolted to the floor. ??? Could you perhaps make a few more videos using, lets say a 120/70 - 21", or even 90/90 21" spoked wheel.
Hi, it is possible to mount the EVO1 to the ground, so that it won't move/spin while removing the tire. If you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
@@max2hcom I know it's POSSIBLE. My question is... HOW is it done NOW without anchoring it to the ground. WHAT stops the the whole unit from turning while applying torque to the pivot bar as the tire is being removed from the rim. The demonstration was using a VERY easy tire. Let's see it done on a low profile 19" front wheel- WITH SPOKES.

They must have that thing bolted to the ground, because I was fighting it the entire time.
If anyone buys this, there are four holes on the frame of the tire changer. Bolt it down to your shop table, or find a pallet, nail a sheet of plywood and bolt it in that way. Because if you don’t bolt it down and you’re not mounting track tires, I guarantee you that it’s like riding a bull. All and all, it’s a good machine.

Currently we have no video for the front tire. You don´t have to remove the brake rotors. The hight will fit.

It works only on some tires not all;try 180/60/16 and see if it’s going to work,it’s good for the sport bikes tire because they are much softer and more flexible then big bikes tires:

It didn't work on this tire in the video either. If you see the bead did not get removed in the video it was a cut scene. The hardest part is the last 6 to 12 inches and this didn't even get to the last 12. Bet they struggled like heck off camera then ofcourse back to show the easy part. Looks better than a harbour freight tire changer but its difficult to remove some of these stiff sidewall tires on a machine let alone by hand. And this didn't appear to be a stiff sidewall tire either.
max2h.com you are right,I see that,I had really hard time breaking the beads on the front tire 130/70/18,I put so much effort to break the beads on the rear 180/60r/16 but no luck I ended up going to the dealer to have it changed,you can tell in the video he is using soft tire.,I’m going to invest in NO-MAR TIRE CHANGER ITS ABOUT $420 delivered on eBay,I’m waiting for %15 coupon for eBay,.
I see videos of people changing tires with hardly any tool and they make it look easy. Its either you have a knack for it or not. I've spent enough money on these gadgets to know i dont have the knack for it...

I have to ask the smart ass thing. Why lube the rim on both sides if your only working from one side?
Big John hi big John. You Need lube on Both sides because both tire sides has to slip over one side of the rim. Without lube it can be hard
50+ years and I have only lubed one side of the rim. Both sides of the tire, but only the side of the rim I am working on. I like the tool and will look for it on eBay and Cycle Gear here in the US.

max2h.com ok but is the one in the video bolted down? Some of these tires are really stubborn and you need more leverage than he person in the video is using. Especially if it's a high performance tire. And it hasn't been used before some do the carcasses are really stiff.
