This game is a work of art, you can feel the oozing passion behind it, the devs put their souls in it. The ambiance is so strong it pulls you in like you are there, the graphics make it look extremely dire...you can talk about how good the game is for dozens of minutes and the music is godly!
Remember, staying out of reach of the protective substance after nightfall results in immediate death in 99 out of 100 cases. It is advised to evenly spread the gas inside the sleeping area.
So like what is this gas and if it can fend off the night mush why not just pour gas tanks of the gas over the lands? I mean yeah pollution but does that REALLY matter when the .. Rest of this? Hidden reverse oasis. Is already hell incarnate. The trees might soak up the oils and die?
@@Wave_MC2269 Conscidering, that an oven is needed to use the gas, maby setting up, and maintaining saied ovens in the entier area would not currently be possible wit the comparitivly small presence, the group the stranger belongs to, has in the darkwoods at the time.
Story time. Skip to the 1:11 for game story of my comment I was watching markiplier Play darkwoods i didnt see the 2014? run but i started watching the new letsplay Instantly fell in love. I am a person who was traumatized by horror as a child so i cant watch horror movies i get nighmares straight up. But when i saw amnesia a dark descent i got this love for horror games witch is weird. Hate jumpscares tho its too cheese and easy Darkwoods gave that perfect immersion of horror and hopelessness. That strive for the morning light. I was like day 12 still in the dry meadows bc its my first time playing i found darkwoods is on ps4 after i watched like 4 ep. And when a game says "You will not be led by the hand" and i took that personally lol. 1:11 I got my first banshee on day 12 i didnt know they could open doors, didnt think i would need to bar the door with wood when i needed a plank with nails. I only was getting 1 savage a night maybe 2 if i was lucky. I had my first light in the workbench room so i seen the front door open..(im in the bedroom) You hear the thuds of the banshee. Thud* thud* thud* Then it just stops. (I was already shitting myself not realising that the birds were a sign) The door opens slowly like really slowly and you hear the creaking of the door going as slow as molasses, bear traps all infront of the door around the bed, windows and all. I took 1. step. The floor creaked... Is it just the door- All the lights. *OFF* i pull out my torch.. And. *SCREEEEEEEE* I literally yelled at like 11 at night. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT! WHAT THE FUC- He stepped on one of my bear traps i didnt know they have 1 hp so he dies, starts screaming again. the lights shutter on, off, on, off. I thought did i kill it? My torch runs out. And then. The babies... 4 of them cornered me i panic spam got like 1-2 with a quick swing i break free with 1 hp the lights turn back on.. i thought "YES light, freedom!" ... Walked into my own bear trap. And that is *Darkwoods*

Its such a breathtaking game nothing can really compare in horror aspect it drives that survival, id say take your time and don't rush. This game has so much to offer, i like to take a nice smoke and get into it when its at sundown bc the timing just feels right. All the lights off and just this beautiful sunset gleaming thru my only window in my game room, makes it right for that suspense. Im on day 37 rn in the old woods, ive went with wolf man bc i heard he gives you a rifle when u give him the chicken key, and he does. So i use my rifle to take out dogs and bugs bc the Beatles are to quick for me. I think when i can get a better apartment me and my gf will start streaming and make a UA-cam channel if possible. I have a great channel name and ive put thought into it dont want to spoil anything but if i do start a channel the name will involve bread just dont want someone trade marking a name i came up with.
considering how brutal darkwood can be sometimes, I'm surprised that there aren't any events that involved breaking the stove setup to get players to move to the next hideout
thats just outright sadistic, but a good idea nevertheless too bad the main character ain't usain bolt cuz he aint outrinnin' any of these abominations with his stamina
Yeah, that would've been way too brutal for the game. Darkwood may be unforgiving, but it's not a game that tries to feel like an "impossible journey".
That could be a nice touch for a challenge mode / advanced difficulty, where you're not only racing to get yourself as geared up as possible against threats, but also racing against the clock to get what you need before your hideout breaks and forces you to move on
