    Not messing with Nick on his rock skipping skills. Those driftwoods are no joke. The beaches there are so pretty and you had it all to yourself.

    Dang, so much driftwood here. Ohhh skipping rocks is always fun... and now I have the urge to practice :) I'm actually a good skipper if I do admit it myself. Really Ruby Beach is absolutely stunning. What a great share. Glad we found your channel. It's good to connect.

    What a lovely spot. It kinda reminds me of my time in Monterey, CA. We used to bring a thermos of soup and take in the views on cool days. Thanks for brining us along for the trip!

      Wasington state beaches are different. We have majestic mountains in the background. Lush green forests near the shore. At the famous Olympic National Park, home of Sasquatch, you can camp on the beach in private. In the spring and summer, the parking lots are always full. You won't find any parking. People like to overnight camp on the beach. They want to see the stars at night while laying on the beach.

      @@LaoSoftware that would be awesome to camp on one of those beaches!

    I loved your video! We went to Washington state for the first time last year (it was one of the first places we filmed YT videos for) and LOVED it. Unfortunately we weren’t able to make it to Ruby Beach (we went to Second Beach which is pretty close by I think) but we loved that area of Washington, so foggy and mesmerizing.

      Yes I second beach is really closest just right down the road!
      This was our first trip to Washington also! We had an amazing time there absolutely loved filming this beautiful landscape 😁
      We just dropped The last video in our Olympic National Park series tonight. Cape Flattery the furthest northwest point you can be in the Continental United States! Absolutely gorgeous ❤️

    Gotta hit Ruby Beach at low tide, especially a negative (minus) low tide, can walk out what seems like forever, on smooth, hard packed sand. Also, a negative low tide provides some nice tide pools to see.

    • @NickandRachel
      @NickandRachel  5 місяців тому +1

      We definitely wanted to see it during low tide so we could see all the sea life. just didn't work out that trip that we were able to get over that way in the morning. Hopefully next time we can do some Tide pooling while in the park 😁

    • @johmhill7312
      @johmhill7312 5 місяців тому +1

      @@NickandRachel If by chance you don't already know---you want to try and arrive 1-2 hours before the low tide time, tide will still be going out, allow ample time for tidepooling before time starts coming back in. Generally speaking, 1-2 hours before low tide time to approx 1/2 hour to hour after, is prime tidepooling. In my experience, nearby Kalaloch Beach #4 has at least a little better tide pools than Ruby. Again, negative tides expose the most tide pools.
