In Busola's defence (assuming the allegations are true) : for those asking how it happened in her house with her sisters upstairs... My take is that Biodun had 'groomed' her over time. Now, that's not a common concept in Nigerian society but it happens more than we recognise. And grooming breeds a level of 'infatuation' in the victim, which makes the BOUNDARY LINES of a mentor/mentee relationship become so BLURRED that by the time abuse takes place the victim is confused and unable to fight back PHYSICALLY and EMOTIONALLY. Remember, Busola also mentioned that she had an absentee father and that Biodun had said he wanted to be a father figure to her. So she was already a vulnerable target. It adds up! Just my take!

You are so right! I went through the same and my neighbor are around, I couldn't shout or scream being a face to face apartment and my so called pastor was having his way with me, despite having church members living in the same building! I cried like a baby. I was powerless, defenseless and all the process was like a drama to me, but it happened and not once just like busola here! 😭😭😭 It is an unforgettable scar! Even if you try to be a super woman the wound will still open up when you see or hear of incident like that! You can just help it!
The girl child is such a vulnerable being ... this is so so sad. The culture of silence in Africa leads to so much untold trauma in later years. Many women bury the hurt and refuse to acknowledge it .. Mother’s today still refuse to talk about what happened. The stigma and shame perpetuates these type of monstrosities. God help us
The girl child in Nigeria has really suffered. We need to make sure we teach our girls the concept of "grooming". Young girls need to know that there are predators around that may want to exercise power over them. Most importantly, we need to raise our boys to know better and do better.

I think this monster needs DELIVERANCE. Thereafter he should be prosecuted and thrown into jail where he belongs. He is a predator that shouldn't be allowed to pastor a church where he gains easy access into the pants of innocent girls..

Our God is a merciful God, but we should not take Him for granted. From a foreignsic psychological stand point, I will urge the world to study the victims very well. Listen to the tone of her voice, look at her body posture, follow tye story line very carefully. Read her eye movement as she speaks. Look at her emotional stance, you will come to the truth. From my professional observation following evidence-based on this interview, a previous relationship has spaked this out.

In this world we are in when women are still blamed for rape, she shouldn't have to come out at all even if the pastor was doing to other members. An attempted rape happened to me in my own house, by my neighbour. I managed to escape and told my cousin but my parents didn't take it so serious as I would have expected them to. I still had to walk past him in the same neighborhood until he eventually moved away. She was probably still in a state of shock. You won't know how you will feel until it happens to you.

This is how you interview someone with trama. Repeating her words over and over gives weight to her story because she is not straying from her story. Its like your at a crime scene and you must go over the scene thoroughly and sometimes go back to make sure you didn't miss anything, even if that means going back multiple times.
Pastor please, confess openly and genuinely seek repentance from God.

Thanks Busola Dakolo. I stand with you from London. Nigerians or anybody at all who casts a vile tongue at your accusations of rape is either a "Church fetishist" or a complete "ignoramus". I admire your presentation and the location of the interview is quite strategic.
Having said that, I would like to add that the vilification of Biodun Fatoyinbo is not sufficient but that he should equally be perceived as a pervert who needs help ( spiritual and psychological). Given his numerous sexual scandals enough to last him for a lifetime, I personally believe he might be masking under ministry instead of dealing with deep rooted issues around sexual sins. I will not be surprised he is a sexual abuse victim himself. This however is not in anyway to exonerate him but as a body of Christ, I strongly believe we should pray for him for healing "not for restoration" at this point and also offer help and counsel to all who have been his victims.
