Thank you nice ride Paul in Kent love the buses on Oxford as I said in your other videos I done Carterton Witney and the x5 from Oxford to Bedford used to go 2 Cambridge it took over 3 hours they cut the service to Bedford
As a professional driver I see the difference in driving culture all across the uk I may be one of the only bus drivers to let other road user out and sometimes hold back traffic to allow a few cars out I see most drivers don’t care or aren’t thinking similar to me This last few weeks I’ve been driving coaches for a holiday firm (a nice 68 plat Mercedes Tourismo..gorgeous vehicle) I noticed in some places up north I would flash to let someone out and it was like a birthday present for them or a shock they didn’t know what to do 😂😂😂😂
Some more info on Arriva site, bus services from Aylesbury to Milton Keynes or Hemel Hempstead are to continue after 27th July (for now) , all other Arriva services out of Aylesbury are going to Red line who currently have no double deckers, Carousel (Go Ahead) are taking over all other non Redline Arriva routes from High Wycombe. The most exciting twist is as a very special birthday present to me(!), Reading Buses are launching a new Arriva coloured route(!) to Henley called Aqua (Turn Back Time - there's still a bus stop in Henley with a 90s/00s Reading Buses logo on it!)
That was my old neighborhood as I grew up there in the 60s with the old red double deckers…Bicester was a sheep village and Glory Farms was just being built …and all those red brick homes were new…that route was 2 minutes drive from my old house
Last chance to do X7 Oxford to Aylesbury - Please prioritise that one as scenic route (I've ridden it) and no more double deckers for foreseeable future after 27.07.2024.
@@SearchIndex Hi. Redline are reported to have bought 10 new double deckers but no idea when they'll be in service and I'm out of the area so unfortunately won't be able to give an immediate update, hopefully they'll be seen soon! Reading Buses have bought loads of new double decker buses too, the first will be in service this October, some nice refurbs currently being done on existing buses too.
