I don't agree. A copy is a copy, especially when the original artist is NOT credited AND when one certain industry (Bollywood) broke all limits to plagiarism - even if you wanna call it "remake" or whatever makes you feel better lol
@@hellosighYour view completely ignores the possibility of - 1) the original being inspired by another original (regional) song which happens mor often than not;
2) a lot of time Bollywood music producers do h've the rights but they don't mention it in the description box of the song. The lyricist, singers aren't even mentioned.
3) Music that is part of folklore, old poetry aren't protected under exclusive rights. They can be used as it is, with changes by multiple musicians....and so on.
These are the nuances the original comment was talking about.

@@Sarthak0998 What kind of dumb logic is that....If RD Burman's era had YT, he wouldn't have to go to the concerts for sampling purpose....Also I'm not against copying.....Just like Indian music has copied a lot from other industries....the others have also copied a lot from Indian music....That's the core nature of music
In case of Pritam I can't tell it's stealing because maximum music are available in sampling option even I can buy it. If we count that kpop have more stealing song than Pritam specially Teddy park.
@@atriyade5885rd burman had the rhythmic sense in him which could make the copied songs on a different level with the percussion parts and singing styles so even if the rdb song is copied, it feels like a fresh musical genius
People miss the fact that indian films use to have 5-6 songs from the 70s to 2000s, and the onus of making those songs was a on a few music directors. There's no way musicians could churn out 100s of original songs in a single year. So they had to sample music from around the world.
And the entertainment world has been sampling music since forever.
K-pop is famous right now everywhere, but people should know that 90 percent of their songs are sampled or rejected music that were bought.
Some idiots in this comment section think that Bollywood is the only industry that has been doing this wothout thinking that the indian music directors have done a brilliant job with sampling a small beat and made timeless songs and simultaneously have made legendary original songs too.
Are you really tryna justify stealing?
They didn't have to churn out that many songs they did because they thought they will get away with blatant copies of core of rhythms and compositions. Also, other people stealing doesn't make okay for everyone to steal.

By that video I saw AR Rahman copied "Ziggy Ziggy with you boy " then I check and found it was AR Rahman original song and that western artist was hired to sing this song and she later make her own version. I mean 😐. So, many proof like this I found. I think Indian should know about modern music technology instead of just accuse.

Tinak Tin Tana was interpolated from "Yang Sedang-Sedang Saja" by Indonesian singer. So, it was interpolated from Indonesian song. And it is exactly the same
The Pretty woman I remember when they made the song they bought the sample rights paid alot of money and even in the movie credits they credited the original etc at the time. It was a big deal in 2004
Hey guys, i always like your in depth discussion in those videos. I have a request, please check out a Bangali Band and India's first Rock Band 'Moheener Ghoraguli'. They formed at mid 70's but disbanded at 1981 due to lack of popularity of rock that time. Later at 1995 their lead singer collected all their old songs and released 4 albums (with collaboration with new artists), which became immensely popular and basically started golden age of Bengali rock/ folk rock. One of their song i most like 'Aamar priyo caffe'. I bet Efra would like the guitar solo intro of it 😄

I don't see any problem in this...look in India thousands of movies are made everyday so does songs..so it obvious composers will take inspiration or sample or evem copy tune from any other part of the World but still we make thousands of original songs and to be honest our version of songs aree written and sang much better then original no offence 😂❤

Proof is when Sae gill tell about Pasoori in her ig live , she told the song was sold to Bollywood because their composer heard Arijit Singh may be singing . It's not in their hand whether any composer sold or not his song. So, don't make assumption beforehand. If I didn't join her live I will never know the truth . There are many videos on Bollywood songs taken from original Pakistani songs, if you want to check out. And yes Abrar ul Haq is a Pakistani singer, whose 2 songs, and also other Pakistani songs were included in this video.

The reason is simple because almost all pakistani singers used to sing for bollywood and for indian movies so the original singers may be pakistani but the rights are with indian production so they can do anything they can remake or anything
