The defendant got off track by chasing after women when he was in school. Something I preach about and against all the time. All the chasing comes at the expense of success as it did for him. Everything I talk about on here is the truth. This defendant owes his mother for the credit card bill. But if you don't have enough money for a ring to get married then you needn't bother getting married in the first place.
Yes this is true. You can't afford a ring you shouldn't be getting married. And I your that afraid of success to trick it off on women, you need therapy or coaching. That why you see so many 50 60 70 year old unsuccessful men in life, tricking their time off on women, when they should have been learning.

That's why when the judge was asking her all these questions about why she didn't get the money from him, she danced around it. She knew damn well she was supposed to get that money from her son. This was stupid because Judge Mathis tried to make an issue where none existed. Nobody denied owing the money. They were only in court because the mother sued him. He never denied owing the money and never stopped payments on the loan. He was simply late on the payments and he explained why. He told the mother "not to worry about it" because she was stressing him when the payments were late. It wasn't "disrespect" it was an attempt to convey she would receive it although a little late because of when he received his check. Saying you didn't receive your check sounds like an excuse. She apparently did not understand and thoughts excuses were what he's was giving. So she took him to court. In the end, she thanked him for being honest about the debt and she's glad he told the truth. But he has been telling it all the time - to her and to the court! But she just didn't understand being told "don't worry about it" when the payment is late and has not been received. And that's how they wound up in court. A real simple matter that could have been resolved with better communiciations between the two! It's Unfortunate, Judge Mathis couldn't see that for himself and looked for opportunities to create issues - where none existed!

Mom keeping that toxic generational curse goin. Son and "wife" a bum!!! She failed to teach her son financial literacy and other responsibilities smh
To not repay your mom is cold
There’s no way I’m going to get married to a man who can’t buy me a ring . Getting married is a big responsibility and if you don’t have stability job and not enough earnings / savings to provide a family yet then maybe put that on hold for now until you’re ready. I would pose for a moment and re evaluate everything/situation it doesn’t matter if I love him. But some people like to rush things so be it…
Exactly
He was buying her a ring. She traded it for a more expensive e one behind his back
His girlfriend wanted to lock him in cause she knew that he wouldn’t be a bachelor for much longer and she didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity of marrying such a catch🙄
That makes NO SENSE, you marry a man that doesn't help you financially. Damn she wanted him mighty bad. I guess she thought somebody wanted to steal him.🤣
Guarantee his wife is horrendous thats why she desperate to get married and cant show her face on tv
The only man that wanted her with her 6 kids.
Sounds like the mom was about to say the wife has 6 kids before judge cut her off. Woman was probably desperate for ANY kind of help she could get. Its not every day you find a sucker willing to marry a woman with 6 kids that aren't his.
He and his wife should have just got what they could afford.
@@Sheherhis rings are useless. a waste of thousands of dollars and doesn't prove your love or improve your life. marriage does. you just want a pretty shiny bobble
$270/month for rings🙄 that's a car payment. They probably don't even have a car 😩
With all due respect the whole case seemed delayed. It was a lot to take in.
Mom not making no sense. You don't need a ring to be married and they didn't ask, she offered. They were dead WRONG to accept it. You know they're broke and offering them something they didn't NEED.
Judge keeps asking all those irrelevant questions. Especially when someone say they're doing good. He will keep digging to bring up something to make them look bad. He a sad person who jump at the chance to look down on others. I've noticed that in plenty of his cases.
GREAT CLOSING STATEMENT YOUNG MAN 👏
The plaintiff does not hold her son accountable. Because she lacked growing up from her mother, she spoiled him. That's why when the judge was asking her all these questions about why she didn't get the money from him, she danced around it. She knew damn well she was supposed to get that money from her son. But she knew he wasn't going to give it to her. Women, some women, like to baby their boys, and this is what happens when that is done.
She is still emotionally breastfeeding that man. Smh
This should've been a courthouse wedding.
Y get married if ya broke
Exactly
Is it me or the mama is a little slow? 🤔 she talks and even turns the pages slowly.
I got married young. He bought me a pretty inexpensive ring until he could afford better.
It irritated me when I heard the judge ask her why did she get pregnant at 17 like come on Judge Mathis you never heard of a generational curse obviously her family was under one. Judge Mathis love talking about how much game he got but that was goofy af to ask her that
Aint no generational curse nothing yall literally use ANY and EVERY excuse yall can to not take accountability generations and lineage does not change the fact that you are an individual consciously in charge of ya own actions 17 isnt a damn baby you literally bout to go to college but not smart enough to know what happens opening ya legs wit no concern for pregnancy especially when you seen it from parents sibling and society??? Stop making excuses for the dumb things most women do... Yea a mistakes a mistake so just be accountable and move forward but dont act like yall are victims of some sort for being fast ass girls wh3n u shoulda been worry bout being a child
Not everyone believes in magic. But listening to the mom, it seems like she may be a bit touched in the head.
It's not a generational curse,it's a choice, stop using the term to justify it's a curse. In actuality it is lack of/or bad parenting!!. The mother and the wife are deceiver's because they did it behind his back without him nowing. I don't know why you are blaming the judge because he ask questions.
Sneaky Fiancée I say. Why else would she stay home, knowing they were going there. They thought they’d get away with it. I think his heart pushed through in the end. 💜
The wife is at home with her 6 kids the Defendant was about to speak on before Judge Mathis cut her off!
She was probably at work. He didn’t have the money for the rings and now he’s unemployed.
@@Itsalifestyleting I noticed the mom was ab to say she has six children and she was interrupted. She’s at work so she can take care of those children and her irresponsible son.. I mean husband!
bands are like $100 at walmart 🤷♀️ cheaper online sometimes
She was about to say the wife has 6 children. She's definitely babying him buying his wedding rings but I think wifey was scheming...
The trifling woman who created this entire hot mess decided to stay home.
Got it.👍🏾
This was stupid because Judge Mathis tried to make an issue where none existed. It's Unfortunate, Judge Mathis couldn't see that for himself and looked for opportunities to create issues - where none existed!
really " I don't get paid the 28th of each month " really . Hell I don't get paid on the 3rd of every month but my car insurance is due. It's called a budget I know if i get paid biweekly. To set that money aside to pay it when it is due.
Mama shoulda stayed outta their poor financial decisions .. my advice woulda been you need me to run you to the local pawn shop. The audacity to not be able to afford rings & get some 5k rings on mama dime. What a sorry son.
If he really love his mother he should repay her.
We've got to stop this cycle. No one has to get pregnant with all the methods of birth control out there. Planned parenthood is a great place to go. Its where celebrities went when they got pregnant. Learn how to control your own life and decide WHEN you want to have children. Girls and women the information is out here 17 is too young in this country to have a baby. There is so much more too do. But if you have them 5here is resources for that too.Just stop and think before you act and take care of yourself!
Both the father and the mother should be doing that, not just the mother Paula.....are the guys just nomadic zombies who have no agency over their seeds? Y'all sound crazy
What does water have to do with the got damn position or disposition wtf
Jm is so ghetto and he defames his guest constantly 💀 😭
He's a decent man somewhere he went wrong
♥️ the ending... Thank you for telling the truth...Thank you for being there. He really could've won the case but he knows they owe his mama. Great son!
How is that even possible to have five kids at 23 and single. How are you or anyone going to survive this? And then you went on to repeat your mom's mistake by having a child st 17. You're a baby taking care of a baby.
Imagine how quick this case would of been on Judge Judy lol she doesn’t care she had a kid at 17 like the rest of us lol
