@@toplespecah666 The V50 is quite reliable but in case of 1.6d from what i know you should be wary of oil leaks, the 2.0d or 5cylidners are better option, the 1.6 is not bad but it has bit more issues if it had been neglected and not well maitained. If previous owner took good care of it i think you dont have to worry of breakdowns,Volvos generally are solid and very reliable cars.
@@toplespecah666 no problem :) The petrol 2.0 is very reliable, maybe more than diesels, because diesels have more parts that can go wrong in terms of long term ownership like dual mass flywheel,EGR and so on. The 2.0i is a really good choice i would say :)
which part do you refer to? is it on 3:14? In that case its low gear and I'm probably giving almost full throttle to keep up with the traffic. The engine was not dead cold since I drove the car for about 5kms to the place where I started recording, but yeah it might add up to the total consumption.
Had not teste that one out. I get cars only for test drives. Drive them for 30mins and then pick next one up. I'd suggest checking that A/C with certified mechanic or at least the one who works on A/C's most of the time.
This is the weaker 16v 1.6d engine. Which also has some reliability issues unless you caught them on time, and was notorious for chewing turbos. The newer 8V D2 1.6 is more torquey especially at low revs and is more reliable.
There is no actual damage made to the gearbox if you shift 3 to 5. The false stereotype is that you need to go through all the gears. But you don't have to. So it is safe to skip gears with manual gearbox. Also it is considered aggressive driving to race one next red light. So if the traffic is not busy it is fine to do it slowly.
Alright let's get in to it. What the problem with driving. Can you be more specific on which parts you don't like and what's the technical downsides of it? I'd be more than happy to discuss that here.
@@awesomesauce8151 The title says that this is a test drive, so you can expect me to test different gears on variety of RPM. I mean no engine died because of testing how it would perform on lower RPM. That's how you get the car moving from a stand still. Or you rev it up to 3k to get it going, do you? Also please provide exact timestamps of the RPM mis match or acceleration with 800 RPM.
I like it's all about regular driving and not revving the engine all the time as if this is a race car. Earned a sub. Also nice moustache :D
Thank you very much. Happy you appreciate my style of driving. 🙂
I have a D3 5 cylinder 150 ps. Very reliable car.
Very nice video, impressive, that the car runs till 300000 km smoothly
Really? I'm considering to buy this but so worry of many breakdown, what do you think?

Nice video thx for sharing🤙
Happy, you enjoy it. 🙂
The fuel consumption is very high at the begining. Is it because of the low engine temperature ?

Do not rest your hand on the gearshifter, it Will destroy the syncro gears inside the gearbox!
Incorrect
Bullshit
How is that possible?
Unless I apply pressure forwards or backwards, should not affect mesh gears.
He does not have any pressure on it, just resting his hand does not destroy anything. Without pulling or pushing
nice vid
Hi mate, does the AC work on you car? it's the only broken thing on my V50

It's broken on almost every P1 Volvo 😂 I think it works on my 2012 V50 but only because it's newer. Will probably break in a year or so.
You drive like my grandmother.
Awww, thats nice. That means your grandmother drives exceptionally well. 👌🏻

Isn't 1.6 to weak for that Volvo?
it has 80kw and its a turbodiesel so i would say its just enough power for car of this size.
I drive one and it's not terrible. I goes well on the lower gears but anything above 3rd is kinda disappointing.
