I got mine professionally pierced. I kept it clean, and it never got infected. BUT my body literally rejected it. Pushed it right out! No pain or anything. So sad

did it!! i would suggest a few things,
- make sure the needle is sharp enough! around 14 gauge should be good and made sure the needles are sterilized
- when marking, i would suggest putting the second nark at the very top, but not above the belly button
- when piercing, use the clamps to push the skin up to the needle as you push the needle down
- make sure you have a piercing saline spray and clean it twice daily to speed healing n prevent infection
- finally, wear low rise clothes for a lil bit to minimize pain
Girl I didn’t know you could do it down I tried doing it up and I was gonna cry I broke skin but I backed out last second I need some help
I did it and did everything right I believe and it worked out great. You should expect it to get a little bit infected, but keep cleaning it every night and it’ll go away/heal over time. You don’t need to take it out if it’s a little infected. But I do also suggest having someone help you (that you trust with that stuff) my friend helpped me out a lot. Make the dots where you want it standing up and then lay down for the actual piercing.
No guys if it's truly infected you need to go to the doctor asap and get antibiotics. What's being described here is actually irritation. There are sooo many types of irritation and infection is actually way more rare than people think. Irritation is very often confused with infection. Just wanted to clarify that because its crazy there's really 113 likes lol

Just did mines was about to pass out but got through it didn't really hurt that bad
If u next time try to do a peircing at home, try use ice to numb the area first, it might help maybe.
Make sure to eat something before a piercing or you will feel light headed , I would know
I'm not trying to be rude, but I honestly would like to know. If you're piercing a larger person's belly button, there's more fate and stuff. How would you choose the placement? I wouldn't wanna hit anything important.
Actually, piercing a larger person’s belly is far easier than someone with a super tight stomach. I am only a professional piercer with thousands of belly piercings that I have done. Don’t do it at home. ESP with an Amazon kit. They use cheap Stainless Steel with NO milling or mining certificates (meaning the jewelry is crap that should only be put in after a piercing is fully pierced and a belly takes almost a year). Titanium is the way to go and spending a whopping $70 is better than a lifetime of infection or worse…
@@shadowandlight100 Is surgical steel a better option than stainless steel? Because for me I can only use surgical steel jewelry for my nose and bellybutton (learned that the hard way.)
@@Lj_Tee_official in my opinion titanium is the best as it contains no nickel. There are a few companies that make amazing surgical stainless steel but they really only sell to shops and not the general public. If you can handle stainless steel then by all means. I personally found that my clients like titanium better.
I did it the first time , it didn’t hurt the bad I would give the pain a 5. Only bc I went slow .

I had done my septum and lip piercing by needle and earring from shein. Everything was fine with them, I also plan to do my belly with things from Shein

First of all, this is terrible that you would have this video showing people how to jack up themselves at home. As a professional body piercer, I have access to autoclaves, which actually sterilize every tool I use. Nothing sterilizes except for an auto clave. You don’t tell people to use gloves. You are promoting externally
threaded jewelry, which is crap. The best way is to go to a professional, who actually can sterilize their equipment. Their jewelry has no nickel in it because even surgical stainless steel contains some
nickel
So most use titanium. Titanium is the best jewelry to start a piercing besides Niobium but that gets pricey
.Marking should be done while standing up. You need to be lying down almost flat to get a perfect angle and doing it on yourself is pretty hard. As a body piercer, I’ve pierced myself at least 40 times and all of them turned out perfectly. But I did all of them at a shop with sterile equipment. I never pierced my own navel because it’s not the easiest piercing to do on one’s self because You really need to be standing to have good access for the depth and the angle. also, you should be using a saline solution that is only for piercings, not contact lens solution or something you get at a Pharmacy, which has more chemicals than necessary,to clean it twice a day, and it needs to be dried after cleaning. Cleaning it was soap isn’t really necessary because if you don’t get all of the soap out that’s 90% of how your piercing is going to get infected. The belly button is the dirtiest place on our entire body and is the longest healing of all piercings. Remember kids that if you order these “piercing kits“ they will send you cheap needles that aren’t sharp enough to puncture your skin properly, cheap clamps that is soon as the package is open and hits the air. It is not sterile anymore, cheap jewelry, which will never heal correctly, and I wonder for how to video such as this to Pierce yourself. even if you make your “to Marks” perfect getting that needle through there while you’re lying on your back is certainly going to cause yourself some trauma.
The first red flag in this video is not putting gloves on. I’ll use three pairs of gloves during one piercing.
This is why I fix about 10 belly buttons a week from ‘at home’ piercers. Instead of spending $20 on some jacked up kit on Amazon, hours trying to figure out how to pierce yourself at home, hurting yourself, possibly getting an infection that will cause you to have to go to multiple doctors, and then end up going into a real Piercings spot and having to pay if you really want to keep a naval just go and spend the 60 bucks upfront.
Hepatitis C is airborne and real. This video is scarier that going to the mall and getting pierced with non sterile gun.
Alcohol swabs, don’t sterilize. Lysol doesn’t sterilize. Also, after you’ve marked yourself with a non-sterile marker, you should be using another cleaner (pros use PurKlenz or Iodine swabs from a sterile package) to clean the area after making before you pierce. I could go on for hours. It’s the little things that two years of being a Piercing apprentice teaches you than a five minute video could ever

I don’t care if you don’t care, but when somebody is “educating” people on how to screw up their bodies then as an adult, I actually care. Maybe I shouldn’t care because I make $500 alone a week just fixing messed up piercings. I just care because I don’t want people to get diseases, infections, or other crap that will send them to the hospital which will cost a hell of a lot more than piercing yourself incorrectly. If this robot was piercing the proper way, I wouldn’t say anything..

Piercings are crazy expensive. Just for someone to put a needle through you. I do mine on my own all the time now after doing a bunch of research!

use the silver end of a small binder clip to use as a clamp, it works.
I just held a tape measure while my friend put marker on a piece of floss and we did it like that to make sure it was straight

@@Rosee69-r8i it didn't really hurt it was just annoying because pushing it through was a hassle so i suggest slathering the needle with vaseline all over to make it go through smoother which i ended up doing. but alsoo my placement was a little to high so just make sure you have good placement. right now it's just sore to the touch but i've been soaking it in saline solution for 10 minutes everday 👍

@@faye-wb9bk it's good! i pierced it again after taking out the initial piercing after 5 days because i hated the placement it was too high and i did want to go through the whole healing process of a piercing i didn't like 😭 but i love it now i feel like it's healing pretty well i had to order a longer bar so it can heal better and i only soak it in saline every few days now. i could tell it's not fully healed yet tho so i just gotta be patient. i heard you couldn't swim while it's still healing but i went to the beach anyways and it's fine. i js say to still be careful and be aware of the precautions. but it slayss and i love it soo much so i say do it!
