      The gas made its dependent on how much you feed into it and if you live in a hotter climate for the bacteria to do its work. But it does work fair fast if done right.
      Typically these systems are feed everyday throughout week. If it's pooped based or food/yard based those are daily things that occur. Do they get tossed into the system daily.
      You dont dump the system to refill. It needs the bacteria developed in order to make the gas. Simply pour the poo or food scraps into the tank and then walk away.

    • @NextGenAge
      @NextGenAge 3 роки тому

      Storing is not that hard, just use regular propane tank. I see many people have massive gas balloons but to me that looks rather inefficient use of space.
      I would do the following, make a biogas generator, connect the gas outlet to a decent volume gas bag, then you could either measure pressure or trigger compressor once it reaches a certain point due to bag expanding and this will compress the gas into a propane tank.

    • @bc2009ify

    i actually know about this from engineers that developed a commercial method. temp produces the most gas when about 99 degrees, the gas is very high in H2S and needs to be run through an iron scrubber if used in heating, the amount added produces uncalculated amounts of gas, there is no correlation between amount and gas yield, the amount of carbon dioxide is also very high
    in cold regions this does not work well enough to do anything useful.
    last point, the state of california could have reduced drilling 30 years ago, except their state agencies prevented this from producing fuel for electrical generation and reducing animal waste. California is a state of people that shoot themselves in the foot

    • @rinku.74malhotra

      this method is mostly used in villages because they are the ones who have a lot of farm animals, mostly cows.

    • @dysfunctional_vet
      @dysfunctional_vet 2 роки тому

      @@Mosieleng it does, but it is not as rich in what the bacteria need to produce large amounts of methane. curious thing i was told. there is no way to measure the amount of methane from any given volume of material.

    • @dysfunctional_vet
      @dysfunctional_vet 2 роки тому

      @@Mosieleng it is a bit more complex that this. the digestion process depends on the levels of chemicals available for the creation of the products of digestion, in this case the gases.
      chicken waste was what was used at the biotech company in Heckville Texas (population 3 yes, 3 people) and the research had used all kinds of waste for this process.
      the way this actually works, you have to have a high volume low pressure (the specific gravity of human feces waste is 1 due to the water content) which is capable of pushing the slurry around.
      the math on this is .433 x depth x (radius squared x Pi) or (.433 x HR^3.14) for your pressure needed to overcome hydraulic pressure.
      cow manure is a bit more due to other materials in the slurry, (say 1.1) and chicken manure about 1.13) these are estimates at best.
      using the high volume low pressure pump, the slurry is constantly mixed and a water jacket of plumbing maintains tank temperature. an Archimedes screw slowly removes the material on one end as new content is added. the rate of discharge will increase as more is added on the other end.
      the problem is calculating volume has a great deal to do with the constituent content of chemical in the feces.
      hope this helps.

    quick question, why did you need to put in the pipe elbows (bends) is there a reason that you couldnt just use the straight pipe?

    It is very interesting but there are still many doubts such as ... how long can it be used? Does it give off a bad smell? What specifically did he hold in the blue container? and many more. I wish they could write it on the video in the form of subtitles, but in general, very interesting. 🤔

    Perfect but since you are using plastic drum..if you don't use it frequently and if you keep the drum in summer days and leaving it in sunlight for longer time may blow up the drum due to high amount gas. To avoid that generally floating drums are used in biogas system. We had one of those.

      @@ricardordesouza4799 the feeder pipe is below the waste, the waste is the seal on that end. The gas will be above the waste and will need to build enough pressure to burp the waste back through the inlet to escape.

      Actually the pipe through which the cow dung slurry goes in is deep... you have seen it was 3 to 4 feet at least. Now if the drung is 40 percent filled how will gas escape which in in top 25 percent space ? inlet pipe is below the 50 percent length of the drum.
      now that tap on outside is outlet.
