    With all respect to Roddy, but Conor should've brought Edmond Tarverdyan to his camp. Obviously with a master boxer like him Floyd would've been absolutely fooked. Instead of that, I think he trained with Demian Maia; bad for him that using the backpack technique, taking Mayweather's back, was useless in a boxing match :-(

      Exactly. The boxing technique which emphasized on ass shaking like what Ronda adopted would have been devastating to Mayweather instead of this Mickey Mouse head tapping bullshit.

    everybody is losing there shit over the fact Mcgregor apparently landed more on floyd than pacqiuao. Floyd literally took 3 rounds off, never looked remotely hurt and stopped him with no problems. Half of conor's shots hit elbows and gloves. He did well, but floyd was in total control the whole fight

    Conor landed so many because Floyd was intentionally not punching. Floyd only threw 4 punches the first round so I say that's the real reason Conor looked so successful. For sure nowhere near a second round KO like Conor predicted.

  • @dimag1830
    @dimag1830 7 років тому +1

    The much bigger, younger, longer reach man, got outplayed, outsmarted and out boxed.
    Conor himself said he did boxing before and he was a champion of Irland or some shit, so don't flip the script after your boy got his shit pushed in.
    Floyd played him like he said he would, and delivered on his promises. Coming straight at him and going for the TKO.
    The man deserves all the credit in the world. 50 - 0 Baby!

    Floyd doesn't have a scratch on his face. He only landed those punches because Floyd moved forward purposely and didn't even leave a mark on his face. Remember this is not the old Floyd, he didn't have any of the foot work he normally do.

    Terrible coaching in between rounds. Flooding Conor with info every round....Conor was looking up at him like who da fook is dis guy? Very terrible corner job. Let's be honest, Mayweather in his prime would've absolutely embarrassed McGregor. You didn't see any fast head movement from Floyd, no fast footwork, and he still easily outclassed McGregor. I mean he wasn't even breathing heavy in the 10th round. So yeah, McGregor can box, but he's nowhere near top level.

    A novice boxer, at best, took arguably the greatest boxer of his era, probably greatest defensive boxer of all time, to 10 rounds, albeit retired but only 2 years retired. Well done Conor and his team. Floyd should return the favor, proving his true mental, with a bout in the octagon as well as boxings best, but we all know there is a snow balls chance in hell of that happening as they will all get murked.

    Conors big mistake was trying to keep floyd off when being walked down by using low power high volume punches, he doesn't have the technique or endurance to make that work. Saw openings for big straight lefts but mcgregor chose high volume weak shots around the guard and to body instead. Should have gone for some hard straight lefts. He tired himself with high volume, it's just not his style. He needs to learn to throw with authority and stop backing up so easily, I knew that would be his downfall. Hoped it would be improved in time but guess not :(

  • @rattletop

    Owen Roddy should be proud of himself. As a boxing coach, he should be happy the way McGregor landed. His boxing technique was crisp. It was his cardio that let him down. Conor's cardio coach needs to go. Even after a year from the Diaz fight he is gassing 15 minutes into the fights.

    Conor just doesn't have that much boxing experience, not any longer than 5 rounds in MMA. He could have weathered Floyd's siege by playing possum if he was a more seasoned boxer. Also, Floyd changed his approach three times during the course of the bout as part of a calculated effort to fatigue Conor, which was very successful. Conor needs to spar for twelve rounds with a succession of sparring partners with different styles and capabilities. Force him to adapt more quickly to different forms of attack.

    What angers me the most is this guy and john let Conor come in around 170ish. He's not who he is at that weight, it's not an excuse at all, it's just I would've loved to see him in the condition he was in fighting Eddie
