Okay this was a GREAT interview! She avoided SO MANY QUESTIONS while making jokes and Ru was unfazed and just kept the rhythm. Amazing!

Rupaul has had their own talk show, twice, and it was canceled twice after 2 seasons unfortunately.
She had her own talk show on VH1 nearly 30 years ago!! It was great!! (I say "she" because Ru did that show in drag).
As I said she had 2 shows. They were both fun! And she had great guests. Her last talk show was back in 2016-2017
I’ve never seen someone interview a female comic in just a normal manner without mentioning her gender or whatever …. Just So good… brilliant mama!!!
Along the same line, this is the first Iliza You Tube clip I can remember that isn’t half filled with comments from men saying how she’s not funny at all. Usually you can set your watch by it.
Isnt it amazing to have a person who is the interviewer who is more dynamic than a white cis heterosexual male!?!? It makes such the difference and gives the interview more depth

I adore Iliza. Besides being gorgeous and down to earth, she's also intelligent and hilarious. The perfect combo. Her husband is a lucky man because she slays.

I ADORE Iliza, and despite never having met her, or knowing her personally, I feel so excited her her and her husband with their child. Her brand of humor has always made me double over with laughter due to her very apt observations on how women relate and talk to one another. Her last Netflix special on her wedding and prep work that brides go to extreme lengths to perform were hilarious (that whole sketch on bachelorette parties as told from a hospitality/restauranteur perspective was bang on). She's someone that I wish I could have as a friend, and I couldn't be happier for her. Also, Ru is a fun host - this was a fun interview to watch.

Honestly, this made me laugh out loud numerous times. She needs to a guest judge and also they should podcast together. Great duo and I bet Iliza and Michelle would be UNSTOPABLE together!

It's true she passed on naming the funnier parent, but I thought overall, she was forthcoming and pretty specific in her comments.

Same here. Iliza is so wholesome...she throws in dirty details in her jokes...but she just feels wholesome and warms...and honesty in there somewhere.
It took me 30 years of marriage to realize that the question “what would you like to eat today”, is an impossible question to answer. Asking someone to decide from all the possibilities of foods they can choose from right now seems really ridiculous. My life changed when it occurred to me that asking people to choose from two or three options is a way to go.

Ru is one of the best interviewers, just fabulous, Ru brings out the best in everyone. Very much like Graham Norton does in Uk, the interviewees just seem to have a great time, it’s not like a chore to promote whatever it is they are pushing, ( thank god lliza didn’t push too hard this interview under the circumstances lol,). Great interview so much fun xx

I’m glad Iliza Schlesinger’s having a child. Tremendously quick-witted & funny! Just gifted-& not affected. Can’t recall that dating reality TV gig she had, but that was so hilariously sad & brilliant thanks to the wisecracks. [Then a taxi quiz show came on right after, that was also very smart. So naturally, they both had to go in favor of Dumbness>>American Style.]
first video I've seen of hers that didnt have a really high dislike count. I've never disliked any video she's been on, but I know her gender-based comedy rubs a lot men the wrong way, and seen as subtly combative. Hopefully, with the birth of a child she can branch out to something less troublesome

Iliza is truly funny. Some stand up comics are bad interviews because the host tosses them questions so they can do their act sitting down, but she is not only a great writer and great performer, she is truly funny. I have been watching and studying standups for about 40 years and she is one of the very best.
I got married at 20, and he was 23. We are still together, and I still agree with her!

Iliza Slesunger is one of my favourite comedians hands down…her older stuff is better but she still knocks out the laughs.
After watching AJ & the Queen, Rupaul is one of my favorite actors. I really wanted a season 2! These two are so funny & Iliza looks so happy & beautiful pregnant :)

RuPaul is a good interviewer, though takes comedians a little too literal. When comedians tell a joke they use words that have a funnier feel.. Like Phoenix Sun sounds funnier than Miami heat.

I met RuPaul at a family reunion in Louisiana. I took a watercolor class with his aunt and uncle and I just ADORED them! I have pics and everything...back when you took your photos to be developed ...lol. He actually performed! (and also hasn't aged a bit!)

Iliza has got to be one of the hardest working comedians out there. I just can't imagine the type of practice she must do for her act. Am I the only one who thinks she channels Robin Williams? He was quite physical and did a lot of voices, too. That's a question I wish Rupaul (great interviewer!) would have asked.

Saw her last night at the Comedy Store in LA so she is still performing. Quite pregnant. She killed it. Was probably the best of the 10 or so comedians who performed.
