Rihanna always has at least one Caribbean song on each album, it’s probably the most consistent sound in her discography - all the way from her first album to her most recent with songs like Work and Consideration
Music of the Sun and A Girl Like Me (her first two albums released in 2005 and 2006) were purely reggae, dancehall, and R&B. And since then, there’s been at least one song like that on each of her albums: Good Girl Gone Bad (2007) Song - Breakin’ Dishes Rated R (2009) Song - Te Amo Loud (2010) Song - Man Down Talk That Talk (2011) Song - Watch n’ Learn Unapologetic (2012) Song - No Love Allowed ANTI (2016) Song - Work
You could start chronologically, like you did with Mariah. Her first single, Pon de Replay, showcases her Caribbean roots. Her first few singles aren't as good, but you could see her growth.
@@bridgethegapreactions Yes. Loud is one of the most successful commercial albums back in 2010. Her red hair setting the tone for the whole era was iconic. That's my favorite album of hers. California King Bed is a great song in it.
Super upsetting, but still a banger. Me and another singer I know learned it as teenagers. Without the video it does speak to relational pain, and I guess white teens think they want to say RAMPAPAPAM 🙃 quite embarrassing in retrospect
One of my favorite songs of Rihanna. Such a deep meaning

It's a good idea - I'll see if I can do something along those lines, thanks
