You produce very good videos of this trailer build project. But even better than the videos, it is your attitude. You maintain a positive attitude. You are building the trailer on the street, and not inside a shop or warehouse. Not even on a driveway. Yet you are moving right along, and it is coming together really well. As mentioned, it gets windy, but that does not slow you down. Thank you sharing your work. You can be proud of what you have done. Take care, and yes, one more subscriber for you. Aloha! K Inouye Honolulu, Hawaii
Thank you for the very kind words, it means a lot. It's been a very fun and frustrating project at the same time. One day I want to get a large shop but it's currently not financially possible. One day tho lol.
I understand that, which is how we come to appreciate what we have even more. We do not have things handed to us on a silver platter. And that is perfectly fine. All the very best to you. I am looking back at your earlier videos of both the hauler build, as well as the videos of places you have visited. Thank you for producing your videos. Keep up the good work, and your great attitude. It is so good to see. Aloha!
I’m stealing your idea some day. This thing is exactly what I’ve had in my head but couldn’t figure out how I wanted to do it. Thank you for the inspiration.
I love it this summer cause I live in alaska I will be building something similar to yours I cant wait. I was going to just put a camper on the trailer but I like the idea of a more permanent build
I keep 2 in my truck when I sleep one under the my head on the floor and the 2nd one in a seat pocket positioned at shoulder level just in case. Can never be too safe
Hello, new to the channel but a friendly neighbor hood fire fighter! I would suggest getting a separate Carbon Monoxide and mount it about a foot off the floor. This is because Carbon Monoxide hangs close to the floor at first then fills the room and by time that happens you will already be incapacitated. Just trying to spread knowledge and help everyone be safe!
Awsum build. You have given me alot of ideas for my ambulance to toter home conversion. The plywood with the bed liner is going to save me alot of time and money. My hauler is already flat black so this is perfect
I think you should cut the back of that lower cabinet off so it fits under the desk flush or extend the desk out to meet the under cabinet. Are you going to add a refrigerator under the desk? I ask because if so then I guess you would need to measure it before deciding what way to go. I think a small refrigerator would be perfect under there you could also put a sleek induction cook top that sits flush with the desk then you would have a mini Kitchenette if you will. The induction tops are perfect for these types of installs, small, discrete, appealing, low power consumption and very functional. I think this would be a perfect little area for this. Either way again I really dig this project and if I had the time or was alone and didn’t have a wife that wants a huge RV lol than I would love to take on a project like this so for now I have to live Vicariously through you. Thanks for the ride. Your doing a great job keep these videos coming please please please and thank you!!!
Unfortunately I can't cut off the back end with out A LOT modifications to the drawers and sliders. It really doesn't bother be though. My plan is to get a Dometic CFX fridge on a slide out tray that will go under the bed closer to the door.
Coming right along. Enjoying your build series. Couple of notes on your WX station display... I've used the same one in the past. The AC-DC brick that came with it is 12 VDC out. You can cut the brick off and use the wire and connector when you're ready to external power it. It's really nice to have the display always on and you'll be able to see it from bed.
Bad ass build. If not meantioned here, Grab some special locking hinges for your cabinet doors so no surprises when you arrive to your first destination. Looking forward you your vids as always. Be safe, keep your head on a swivel for 2021!!
We had a menards in Grandrapids Michigan wen I lived there 20 hrs ago!!!! Loved it, I could get groceries, oil for the truck and a diamond ring if I needed too all under one roof!
Nice job! I've done the same thing but used a 32' enclosed gooseneck trailer to haul the Cherokee and the rest is RV stuff. Just subbed to watch your build and your jeeping!
@@CodeBrownProductions I was trying to offer an idea before you welded or bolted in the stairway. That way if you plan your future solar panels then you might not have to move the stairway. :)
Mounting the boxes upside down would eliminate the unfinished bottom. Cot some of counter top lip out above the cabinet. Cut some plywood as a slab and put it on top of the cabinet and it could slide in and out as a cutting board or counter extension
might want to get some magnetic keepers or cabinet locks. that should be good enough to keep everything shut when you travel they look great and functional BTW
@@CodeBrownProductions Atta boy!! It's great to keep an open mind and I was just thinking the same thing that you might have created yourself a job making these for others. You are doing a beautiful job!! I used to work on the assembly line for Winnebago so I built a lot of RVs and I am seriously thinking of building one of my own.
Need some thin flexible plastic to finish off the window sills. Something like a strip of crazy carpet cut to the right width and fitted in. Give it a finished look around the windows.
I used it to finish the section where my curved roof meets the front and rear walls, insulated a 7x14 enclosed trailer. It is fairly easy to work with, and can be bent to match curves easily.
Get some small led light bars for the outside, could be usefull when working on the jeep or beeing outside. Very nice Channel Happy New Year from Germany 🤙🏽
The tramper is looking good! 👌 Have you thought about possibly a diesel heater for it? They are efficient and pretty cheap. Once I sell our truck camper I'm looking into building something like what you have. I'll just have to include a bathroom with my lady and kid joining me on trips, they don't know how to use a tree haha.
I keep going back and forth between diesel heater and the Propex HS1000. The Propex is the same idea as the diesel heater it just used propane instead.
Just some long tailed dress shirts. It'll stretch the effective life of that sort of pants for a couple months. Dark shirts, that match the pants. Works for me !!!
Looks sweet. Make sure you add some latches to the cabinet doors and a front edge to the shelf under the tv, or else everything will find its way to the floor every drive
Great build .. but does anyone that has done finish carpentry work not liking the caulking job inside? Grey caulking is available from DAP and also other manufactures just choose DAP because its cheap . Other then that what a awesome build.
Just curious how the shelving and other items are holding up with just screws? Just something I noticed and doesn’t look like a long term set up. Just an observation. But definitely love the build.
I just started watching your show on the trailer build but I can't find any shows on how you got started on this. I have been thinking about building a project like this. So did you have any earlier shows, showing how you got started?
Why don' you go for lowering bed, one that lowers from the roof? A queen or king size bed. Like euro loft lowering bed or the like? If yo scrap your upper cabinets you can have a great lounge area and a work space/desk, a small kitchen and when you go to bed you just lower your bed with the push of a button. As a bonus, you don't need to do your bed in the morning. Just flick the switch and raise the bed to the ceiling. Your storage needs could be inside the kitchen cabinet/workspace/office desk and under the sofa. Bring less stuff and travel more as you will have a more versatile space. Bad weather? Stay inside and edit a video, cook a meal or spend the day in bed.
Where those cabinets have no door, you should put speakers to fill the gap, and then recessed lighting underneath. All electronics in the cabinet behind the speaker, and then non of that cabinet space is wasted.
Is the desk top un-foldable? That could double the space when you need it. You could even set it up to go all the way across, and double your bed space.
Love the project you’re working on. Did you consider making the bed a Murphy Bed and also or raising the bed an inch under the windows to create more storage under the bed. Just curious and some ideas. Ohhh and why not add more cabinets to the dead space over the door. Ain’t nothing wrong with more storage. Keep up the great work bro. 👊🏽
Awesome build thus far! Do you have plans to add a small rv door sized awning above the door? Looks like a comfy place to rack out after a long day on the trail.

You got the right idea, but I would put it chest-height. CO doesn't really rise or fall. Edit: wait, I think you're right. I'm not sure how this camper is designed.
The CO is a combo smoke decetor in one. Obviously smoke rises with the heat and CO and neutrally buoyant so it will evenly distribute in a room. Ive talked to some local firefighters and they all said putting it on the ceiling is fine. Having said that propane on the other hand is heavier than air so I just ordered a propane detector on Amazon and that will be placed about 12" off the floor near the entry of the propane lines.
You liking the cordless jigsaw? I just picked up the XR jigsaw for Christmas but haven’t had a chance to use it. I’m thinking about doing this just to carry the 4 wheelers to the mud park.
Yup, just have to have to proper blades. Most people hate jigsaws but they have their place and purpose if you know how to use them. Plus the cordless versions give a lot more convenience.
Stained the insides, but not under the overhead cabs or the 2 ends. I know there not finished surfaces, but if they were close to same color they would blend in better. Good work on the build. How many coffees did you have before your intro?
I purposely didn't stain the underside or edges because Menards has purpose built panels that go right there. I think it would finish it off nice and look better. Also no coffee, im more of a White Monster type of guy. That and im naturally just an idiot lol
Need multiple carbon monoxide sensors I recommend two. Both need to be mounted at a low point. Dont rely on a sensor that is mounted high. The reason for two is in case of one not working. Mount them low!

Yeah, I would totally agree with you. Eventually I'm gonna put trim over all the seams so it will at least hide it.
you need corner shelves up under the cabinets for storage and extra support . 8 screws into the wall looks not enough.
There are 8 screws going into the wall and another 8 screws going vertical into the ceiling.
