- To celebrate Nikon’s 100 Year Anniversary, we take a look back at the iconic F-mount, used in all Nikon SLR's and DSLR's.
In production for over five decades, the F-mount has stood the test of time, remaining backwards compatible with many Nikkor lenses dating as far back as the 1960’s.

NIKON DF
Where is the nikon n4004s?
Didn't you see it - N-401 as aka USA Export Nikon n4004 & n4004s, and believe me this model was a Pain to get repaired as most customers would refuse the estimate cost of the repairs.. Believe me I work at a Camera Store for 33 years, and this model was claimed: "Are You Sure?"
How they just release five cameras each year now, haha. Many of which are pretty much the same as their predecessor.
I ride around and stuff speak for yourself - I waited 10 years for the D500. Coming from the same guy who HAD to get the D300 two years after the D200, this had been a really long time coming. The D500 was (and is) unlike any (semi-affordable) crop sports camera in history. I don't expect that to change any time soon.
They've always had the best ergonomics in the industry. It pains me to see canons PR and marketing win over media outlets and sports photo agencies around the globe, while their cameras don't really add up.
@@EstorilEm Nikon Announced that they will be ending DSLR for Crop, and Full Sensor for all the models. So if you want the D500 better get it. Like I did when I bought the Nikon D2Xs & D3. All Nikons, and Canons will be Mirror Reflex Design as Canon will be releasing their version of a Retro Mirror Reflex design that looks like a Canon A-1 design.
