Say what you want about the three first movies, but the storyline, the base of the history was spot on. How anakin and Padma meet ( the force ;), how Obi Wan trained Anakin poorly, the fall of the Jedi, the rise of Palpatine, the rule of TWO siths, the development of the CLONES. The movies may have been poorly made, but the story line was spot on... I am not sure the new films will be able to be as detailed as the previous six because George Lucas isn't writing them.

i agree with ya there, the prequels stories were much more intricate and expanded the lore a lot whereas so far, the new movies do seem more simplistic like the OT. personally i prefer what the OT and TFA have done rather than the prequels, just because talk of politics and conspiracies arent as appealing to me as a simple story of a rag tag team from small beginnings.
I'd say lucas is a good writer, as shown bythe OT, but when let loose with no one to say no, he did go a little overboard with the prequels. just my opinion :)

Vishal Reddy Well not necessarily poorly, but with the death of Qui Gon Jin, Obi Wan wasn't able to assist Anakin in suppressing his emotions.

Going from Anakan fighting Obi-Wan in Ep. 3 to Vader fighting Obi-Wan in Ep. 4 is just depressing in terms of choreography haha.
The duels in the new one is more like the Vader vs Ben fight than anakan vs obi, which a massive let down in my eyes

Anthony Rizzo Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda are the two fugitive and exiled Jedi Masters. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious are the two ruling Sith Lords.

The Republic was the excuse, the Separatists were the bait (or the patsy if u like). remember in Revenge Of The Sith, Palpatine ordered the droid army shutdown and sent Anakin (now Vader) to assassinate the remaining Separatist Leaders (Viceroy Gunray ect...) + Order 66 (kill all Jedi). No Jedi = no democracy, no guardians of peace and freedom = Galactic (Sith) Empire... all that, the legal way
No the clones were dismissed when the empire took over, watch Star Wars rebels and you will know. People volunteer to become troopers like in the u.s.

From a Nana who's never seen the ongoing saga, but needed the Cliff's Notes version to relate to the grandsons. This re-cap was incredible! All I can say is, if you young people can follow this synopsis, you should ALL be getting an "A" in AP European History. More facts than I could take in, but I know there are loads of people who LOVE this series of movies and it's fun to see something entertaining for the masses in tough times.
FYI Anakin played a huge part in Mace Windus death, he freaking cut his arm off

Two question why nobody listen to yoda and why does obi wan let himself get killed
+yusef21595 No idea why Yoda is always ignored, but I heard an interesting theory about why Obi-Wan let himself get killed. It goes that he knew that Luke would not leave him behind no matter what, and would try an save him from Vader and the Stormtroopers, but he also knew that Luke was no match for Vader at this stage. So rather than endangering Luke by making him try and save him, Obi-Wan lets Vader kill him, thereby protecting Luke by keeping him away from Vader.

Main reason was because Obiwan would become much stronger in the force and more valuable to Luke through death. He was able to guide Luke towards the right side of the force and teach him that there is no reason to have fear, etc. which leads to the darkside. (just my thoughts on why he let Vader kill him) also Obiwan says "If you strike me down I'll become more powerful..."

The clone wars is easily better than all of the prequels. It's basically all you have to watch from before episode four. You can watch rebels too, it's not bad.

Those are the versions of the characters that I try to remember when looking at the whole story, especially Anakin who is way better in The Clone Wars than the prequels.
+den20vip2 Rebels starts slow, some of the episode stories are a bit "meh" and you'll cringe a few times, but I've just started Season 2 and honestly it's an excellent show. Better than Clone Wars. :)

-1:34 clone army created to aid the growing CIS army? I don't think so
-says he deiscovers a legion of clones when in fact the kaminoans say there were 100,000 units ready which is not a clone legion which is comprised of 9216 men so there would be roughly 10 complete legions
-2:49 says anakin finds out about palpatine's secret identity but not in time to save windu which is false. anakin tells windu of the sith lord and windu engages palpatine in a duel but anakin, torn between choosing the light side or dark, cuts off windu's hand thus disarming him and letting palpatine kill windu
-5:15 giant space worn. wrong. its a space SLUG aka a exogorth
-5:20 boba isn't far behind. he actually arrives on bespin before the crew of the falcon with the empire hence lando striking a deal with them
-5:57 says boba spent an eternity in the sarlaac pit (saying he died) when in fact the canon book aftermath leads us to believe that boba is actually alive because his mando armor is found on a jawa sandcrawler with acid corrosion all over. I doubt the jawas went into the sarlaac to look for droid parts

To my thinking, you only missed the detail "Jango Fett is killed by Mace Windu" when Mace and Yoda rescued Obi, Anakin and Padme. and that "Mace redirects Palpatine's Force lightning and disfigures Palpatine's face". but very good sumary for those that prefer, for whatever reason NOT to watch the movies.
If you really want to enjoy Star Wars read all the books!
