An heirloom costs 150 shards, so put 30 shards at the end of each battlepass. Every 5 battlepasses you complete, you get a guaranteed heirloom
this would be awesome, but i dont think it'd fix the core problems with the game

i feel like EA is purposely letting the game die because it’s no way in hell they aren’t seeing the complaints ppl are making.
This happens every 2nd-3rd season. The game "enters" a dying phase (without actually dying) and then the game is left like that for a little while, until EA introduces some big change that "saves" the game. That's how it was with the class update, the talent system etc. They know how to milk the game, and they also know that people will just keep playing so they take their time with the meaningful updates, till the very last minute, before it's too late

They’ve been looking for new game designers, so Apex is probably going the way of Overwatch where they abandon the game for a year or two to come out with Apex 2.

I've been a pretty dedicated player from season 0 up until this most recent season, and the reason I stopped is (apart from little respect for my time as a player) the predatory and aggressive microtransactions. I hate that every event has seemed to get more and more expensive, and not only that, they've started to go back to their Iron Crown style events with random cosmetics in packs, as opposed to letting me buy whatever I want and not leaving it up to chance.

Skins are not content
Yes they are, at least when a cool skin and oc at a reasonable price i buy it and play with that character for weeks just bcs i wanna show off or see my new skin, the problem with apex its that skins are 90% of the content hahaha, but look at fortnite, i mean like half of the game is buying skins and emotes

@cja02 yup but with fortnite you can actually see your skin and there different skins of characters, then different skin of the same character. Also fortnite continues to add new content it just the community complain too much.
i am a big fan of apex. but a few weeks ago they banned me for absolutely NO reason at all. (after the latest update). they didn't even tell me WHY they banned me. i contacted them 2 times and they said i didn't follow their rules. 1st they banned me for no reason. 2nd they banned me PERMANENTLY... i hate this game and EA now..

I am getting so low level player as teammates. Bloodhound doesn't know how to scan, path doesn't know about zip line, some bangs do not smoke, some do not charge shield. Absolute chaos. Ranked servers are broken too, 300 ping in many matches , specially in KC map.

Its cause the game thing you have diamond skill so they make you play there then you win way more point and get diamond faster. why is that wrong ? its like that on every game. Try league of legends and destoy some silver you will play in platine emerald as silver. And its not to punish you but to make you rankup faster to make you play at your real skill level. The ranked at base was not something mean to be grind but something mean to put player in a safe environnement playing only vs people that have approximatively same skill level of you, then they saw people were addict to grind so they made it that way and created sbmm for unranked game.
Thats why I quit long ago. Me and my homie would play Apex everyday back in the day. Unfortunately pub matches became too sweaty winning didnt feel like winning the lore got fucking boring

Look I HATE THIS ABOUT DEVELOPERS and the exact reason why I'm learning coding so I can make games people want, because I know what the people that play the game wants. These companies don't give a shit about anything EXCEPT MAKING SURE THE STORE WORKS. they haven't a clue about what makes people want to spend money, and have let their greed have a hold of their passion. That's why I'm on my mission to fix this problem.

I deleted apex last year, I grinded to pred for season one, didn't get my badge or pred jump trail but I looked over that, then when they started really changing kc I started swaying away from apex. But when they made us start playing pc players that was it for me, I played 5 games and died to cheaters in every single one. I spectated my killer and they where wall hacking and aim botting. I'll just go play TF2 like I have for years.
Next season might bring a lot of people back with the new map, the lack of content and to many store sales is killing all of us
With al that cash grab, wheres the grind ? 3k hours for the weopon mastery for a legendary skin no one needs or wants ? This game is a joke

I think there's so many things in play rn
1) No new event
2) Solos got invested with bots on all the servers as of late making the only event in the game rn not fun
3) With the announcement of legend-centric heirlooms being switched to Cobalt Katars people didnt care about the game and only see money in it
4) The servers are getting spikes for no reason more frequently and I kinda had enough of Apex being the only multiplayer game right now that is noticeably bad at maintaining servers.
5) This current battlepass is ass, no need to grind it out
6) June-Early July is the day for most people when they finish their final exams, graduation in school so it can also be that
7) The lack of communication Respawn does lately about bugs
8) I only play ranked but ngl Broken Moon is the only fun map for ranked everything is too open or being absolutely sweaty.
9) More people have that one friend than that two friend available, removing Duos was a braindead move.
10) Queue times are became extremely long for me atleast

Me idk why i love this season. I feel like no sbmm in normal game (I can face itz Timmy 60k kills + predator and Little Timmy level 22 rookie who only have a 2k badge in the same match) and about ranked i dont care at all. The only issue i have with this season is there is no DUOS MODE. Previous season were a pain in the ass with the sbmm.

I went to my friend's house, and I found out he had apex legends.
He was level 2, he just played a couple of matches this season.
So I started a solo. Got killed by a 20 bombs 4k on alter, master. Awesome sbmm
I dont know how its even possible but they succeed into making ranked worst every season, the nail in the coffin for me was the dive trail removal, like I KNOW you are doing it just to force people into spending more money on mithyc skins, at least dont remove my friggin trails, ZERO respect for player time or grind but only for money
This game just isn't worth playing rn (and If this continues will die out completely) with the cheaters, greed, sbmm, no interesting new content (besides Alter) etc. And its a shame since this game has so much potential but EA and Respawn are ruining it with their ridiculous incompetence

Personally i wish for a couple things
1. Duos ranked
2.more diverse hop ups example such as rapid fire, akimbo, and slect fire(with adjusted damage)
3. More changes on existing guns to make them popular and to show love to the stuff thats in there now
4. Weekly updates like fortnite does
5. Bring arena maps for mixtape with different game modes example like search an destroy from COD but with apex legends. That and having arenas come back like an LTM

So for me, I only play Apex on a Saturday, I have gone from playing mid week to just one day. Thankfully I haven't come across the Hackers plaguing apex at the moment as I am a console player. So for me when Apex first came out, I enjoyed the speed of the games, it was 15-20 minutes per game, with the introduction of Broken Moon and Storm Point the maps are just to Big and it gets really boring so quickly, it could be 15-20 mins before you see another team. I am looking forward to the new map as it's looks to be a smaller map, so we shall see. But another pointer is, I don't understand why they don't have different game modes. Singles/duo's/trios/quads in both pubs and ranked would be nice.
i'm just sick of broken moon, whenever i get on apex i always somehow get broken moon as my comp map and something like a 7hr rotation wait so i go play something else and have fun and just forget the game exist, i've been playing destiny 2 the past couple of day and it's like got me in a trance.
i just get killed too often by the "not moving while looting" players, and that kinda discourages me to play it

I feel like for the Battlepass, instead of having a ton of trash filler, it would be way better if we had less but higher quality content.
And, they could even do battlepass skin recolours that you earn via challenges.

Honestly it's between playing other games (warzone, XDEFIENT and overwatch) and the queues for rank are annoyingly long and when I get into a match it's against 3 stack preds and I get 2 bronze players somehow even though I'm in plat and also the season just feels dry
i feel like respawn makes the right changes and decisions and but ea's just up their ass and ruining every decision or limiting them which adds up to a lot of damage over time
I really doubt it’s all EA not letting them add anything of value into the game. Or anything at all. Especially when EA likes to brag about the money tree Apex is. They care about the financial aspect of it. Respawn is just a trash company who’s a house slave to EA. They should’ve stuck to Titanfall.

They could easily release an LTM and call it smth like flashback and just give everyone Titanfall movement (we know its in the code and its possible from shadowfall) and change the damage numbers to what they were in Titanfall, easy LTM thats both interesting and extremely different from what apex usually is
LTMs drag people back, ESPECIALLY if they are extremely different from the normal apex gameplay loop
I play every day for 1-2 hours and really have fun. Many people get bored in apex because they fly to the end of the map and play like rats. I would get bored eventually too.

bro this is so weird for me because i used to be really into apex but stopped around season 11 or a bit after ash dropped and ive just picked the game up again and started grinding in season 21. I have uni and work long hours so i mainly play at night on the oregon servers and id say after like 12 am servers take a while to fill up (if they ever do)
I recently started playing again for the first time in a LONGGGG time, having a blast but i mean one of my first matches had a rage hacker, it was pretty detrimental on my decision on rather playing any more is worth it

the monetization/battlepass situation is always rough, and the cheating problem is real. but id be lying if i said this season wasnt some of the most fun ive had in a minute. Alter is such a fun legend, im really loving the new Broken Moon, and im... kind of coming around on perks? in a way i didnt expect. i hope that the new map pulls people back in.

I would feel more interested if they provided more interesting rewards for grinders. DIve trails was my motivation to play rank, now they remove it I'm demotivated for just a stupid ranked banner u only see once the game started.
What you said about the lore is super true. I came in season 3 just because of the lore and mirage voyage plug at TGA. The lore between loba and revenant was interesting but imo as soon as it got to Horizon things started taking a turn for the worse. There was just an oversaturation in lore with twitter posts, story chapters, etc. I enjoyed lore hunting and speculating, not being spoonfed lore.
I play for "fun" and never been higher to gold. I keep ending up in masters / pred lobbys that are way too sweaty for me.
I am amazed no one has mentioned people getting banned for no reason and then EA refusing to unban. Has happened to like 5 people I know and nothing
i'm in between gold and plat rn and its not fun honestly. below that rank is fun times but beyond that is just a headache.

I'm not going back. Last season I had pred lobby after pred lobby in duos with my buddy and they all just knew where we are at all times. It felt unfair to play 20 matches back to back where enemies always played perfect counters to our strats and moves with no info and so we quit
One change this season which is insanely dumb is when someone leaves the match early when they're knocked, you dont get a shield swap from that deathbox. Glorifiying leaving the match before your squad dies is so stupid, especially in a "team based game"
Apex Legends was never a"team based game" devs talk that s...t because they don't want to devide people and they made this event very bad on purposes,Solo mode was a succes first time,but now is garbage, fast ring and pre made guns and that stupid sense of warning for nearby enemy...not to mention all the guns and legends are nerfed to the wost state from S0 till now.

@@Wretched___ 😀 I didn't notice that because I played just 2-3 matches in trios,I installed just for Solo mode....but I uninstalled in the same day 😞 they keep add unnecessary changes,the armors on ground loot was perfect with the Evo armor,but they keep add more dammage to evolve till they remove the armor and add this garbage system,you need to collect all those f....g boxes for upgrade,same thing with replicator,now is useless,you can craft just 1 item from 3 items...they keep nerf the game every season...skill level is not change because of super skilled players...is because of hackers, controller players with aim assist and macros,binds etc,another problem is controller players with hacks,SBMM,bad audio and pre made teams against solo Q players....they need to add solo mode permanent like a BR and rank for solo....but I ask to much for a dead game with incompetentent management and greedy companies.Other stupid bug was if you get KD by zone or die accidentally tou get Respawn with level 1 armor to prevent that stupid exploit when they introduced that....till this day is not fixed 😞 the game consider you kill yourself and don't give you your armor back...devs in this game are a joke, a bad joke.

The lack of new legends and the leaked map still not releasing (if it’s only leaks it’s fine but respawn already teased it for so long but nothing yet)
Also the fact that you fight against old predators in bronze/ iron matches is crazy

I feel like the only goal I have is to get a 20 bomb.
Have gotten 18 twice (the other was in the solos mode this season) and I have gotten 13-17 kills so many times, I cant find enough enemies (I dont have friends to play with so I play solo duos).
Basically I got kinda bored since the only goal I have needs luck.
I haven't played at all this season. I was actually looking forward to this season but I'm just not feeling it anymore, might be the first battle pass I don't finish by the looks of it
Apex just absolutely sucks and I probably won't come back because every game I join has players with 40k kills, 20 bomb badges.
Apex peaked when I wielded that buster sword. I was mult-squad wiping every game solo in trios.

i tried to play apex with some friends, at first it was all fine but when we reached to lvl 10 things go realy out of hand, we would play on the same lobbys as hardcore master/predator ranked players or lvls 450 players, so yea at least for us apex is that type of game that killing someone is a luxury and not something needed, unfortunately apex being a realy high ttk game with no SBMM realy can make someone quit the game in less than 2 hours. (at least in my opinion)

You hit the nail on the head with duos thing... I only played duos. I like solos, and hate trios, mainly Because 95% of you're team mates are brain dead on arrival, no communication and just ape everything. It makes the experience frustrating. Ranked can be fun with friends. But the rewards are crap so what's the point of funneling hours of my life into it. Ain't worth it.
I miss ranked arena it was how i practiced different styles of playing and the maps were nice
if you liked ranked arena you were either a 3stack controller abuser or a cheater or playing in silver arena

A problem I'm facing in Apex Legends is the "Skill-Based Matchmaking" (SBMM). My boyfriend and I are "newbies." I used to play on the console and was level 500, so I have some game knowledge, but I'm still not used to aiming on the PC. My boyfriend, on the other hand, is truly a beginner and is learning to play. However, we had a match where I got 8 kills and he got 5, and since then, we've only been matched against predators, masters, and players who play daily.
I completely agree with your duos take. It's why I just don't care to play right now. No new content and just boring to play. The same goes for r6 siege. I'm just not interested when it's a dry asf season. D2 here we come baby.
i stopped playing mainly because i’m tired of battle royales, but another reason is because it’s really hard to get my friends on this game. due to the difficulty from SBMM and the class based nature of the game itself, it’s hard to get them to play apex unlike shooters like fortnite, cod, and siege. i’m just waiting for bo6 but it would be my dream for titanfall 3 to release. i loved the movement and gunplay of titanfall 2, and that game i could actually get my friends to play if the third one came out.

ironically enough it was watching teen titans and that got me back into the game, the battle royale system and core issues are that distracting that i have to be reminded around the legends characters, abilities, weapons and gameplay to get back into this game
Played since launch. Apex used to feel so ambitious with content updates. Now it feels focused on battle passes, and shards and NEW SKINS they can push out in another random COLLECTION EVENT. I don't want to spend 200 dollars every "content update" to have the newest garbage. Some skins are cool, but who cares when there's nothing added that changes how a match plays out.
P.S. if you're gonna nerf caustic into the ground, rework him. I used to love him when the damage was high enough to keep someone back. Now people run through my gas and mow me down. What happened to when all Legends were powerful...
Almost! Over 3,000 hours in the game and been playing since season 3. I’m over the last 4 seasons of ranked being cheater vs. cheater and pubs are miserable. I finally uninstalled last night. Completely over it. Not coming back.
I’m an OG season 0 player, last BP was the first one I didn’t finish, and haven’t bought this current one. Too much bullshit from EA and the soloQ experience is utterly terrible

I think it would be awesome if they brought back old bp weapon skins and made the system like it currently is on overwatch so you can choose which ones you want. Also give people like 50 heirloom shards at the end of every battlepass as well. Theres no reason they should be as rare as literally winning the lottery.

For some reason This past few weeks everytime i play Apex, I queue The moment I load into the match the suddenly I am SOLO. No one quit or something The moment the game load into Chracter selection.. I am "ALONE." I dunno if its server problem or something. After that never play again, 1 against 3 players... ain't no way...
Im excited for the bounce back, but if it's really gonna be happening every august, schools coming back and i have less time to play. I just wish respawn could fix their game while i actually have time to play.
Data mining and leaks have, also, played a big part in most gaming experiences declining. We know almost everything that's set to come, so there's no mystery or fun in it anymore.
As someone who has 1500 hours on apex and stopped after season 11 the game just got overcomplicated and ik that people are gonna say skill issue and they might be right but i just miss the simpler times of season 1-6. I tried to get back into it but its just not the same game anymore and so its not for me anymore

It’s gaming in general, game developers and publishers are getting lazy with their content updates and not listening to what people really want.
Every game feels too similar and nothing feels unique. Almost every game has a battle/season pass in it, tons of microtransactions, and doesn’t even really try to differentiate themselves from the competition.

Im so sad about apex. Season 0-9 is the most nostalgia inducing thing to think about. Heavily for seasons 2 and 5. But now apex is boring and honestly, i cant get back into it anymore
Crazy idea, what if the game had ingame purchases based on how much you play rather than how much you spend. No pay to win, no locked content, just grind. It has merit.
I don't know why this game is so scared to have a big variety of playlists. Everything needs to be a
LTM or if its not popular enough in the eyes of Respawn is removed. I used to play Arenas only with my
friends but they removed that mode so we stopped playing and didn't looked back. Nice job Respawn 🎉

I'm feeling the duos thing hard, I only have one consistent Apex friend and I don't like dealing with randoms. Also I'm playing a lot of single player games right now
I stopped playing it so much after they removed dive trail ranked rewards. I'm not grinding all season for a banner frame

AGREED💯 But Unfortunately they Aren't gonna give us Ranked dive trails back.. they realized they could charge us for it. I ALREADY got TOO Many badges (4 EVERY legend) & CAN'T EVEN sport them with Only 3 slots Available🙄.. Already have 2 Many charms, Including a Ton I like but Can't use (Cuz picking a couple randoms Isn't an option.) & I Don't want a Wack banner, Especially when I ALREADY have banners for EVERY legend. They Don't care about giving us What we Already deserve tho or they Woulda ALREADY gave us skydives for Older Prestige skins. But they'd Rather just charge us for New skins..💯
Respawn is focusing on the wrong kinds of updates and players imo.
Apex is a team based game, and solos is not an interesting experience for most people, despite all the noise you'll hear online.
IMO Respawn should focus on making modes that are more casual and action-packed. A big team battle style mode of 30V30 would be crazy, and/or other modes in that style.
Plus, honestly, Ranked needs to be made to be more in line with competitive and not some brainless ape fest.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like we're gonna get any of that kind of thing.
Apex keeps focusing on people who arent even gonna play for the long run.
For me it's just the lack of listening to the community and the lack of gameplay options. By now they have already removed solo's and replaced it with quads. But I don't understand.. Why not just give players the option to play solo's, duo's, trio's and quads? What the hell?? And then there's the mixtape.. The three games they have on there are definitely fun, but after a while they just get so goddamn boring. We need more gamemodes. I'm also still pissed about the fact they removed arenas.. All this in combination with servers so laggy that the game is sometimes just dropdead unplayable.. I really wish there was a clone of this game where these features were a thing

only reason why i played this over fortnite was because apex doesn’t have a building mechanic, and it just feels..better overall, and to see it die is like watching my previous favorite game, battlebit be tossed in the garbage all over again, and the content updates are just sad, but it makes sense honestly, since fortnite is lifeless, they don’t need to get voice actors, but since apex does have voice actors, they have to regather all of them back up just to do voicelines for a singular weapon, and they have more variety for voicelines, so a simple “Mozambique here” will have like 5 variations,
I went from online multiplayer shooters to single player campaign (after seeing the Mad Max gameplay reminded me) The reason for the switch is because live service games doesn't respect the players anymore. I just feel Apex is saraficing healthy updates, gameplay changes, LTMs, and Events for cosmetics. Apex had more cosmetic shop changes than anything else and all the game had was and new legend change and solos mode but at the cost of duos. Also Apex is NOT NOOB FRIENDLY, I had a homie try out the game for the first time and when he picked up a weapon he asked where are my attachments i said you have to find them and that weapons specific amo type. And all he said was "Oh that's stupid because in Warzone can I have a fully kitted loadout" Apex is losing competition to competitors since its not noob friendly and losing constant returning players due to lack of gameplay changes and cheaters.

I left because I got burnt out from doing from playing last season. I bet there are a lot of Apex players who feel burnt out from doing the flatline challenges. I didn't even finish the challenges. Not only that but it seems that each season gets shorter.
Detection for strike packs, XIM, etc is needed.
Big gameplay changes.
Still no titanfall LTM or mixtape mode? Huge missed opportunity.

Cheaters way too often, and too little is done about them and boosters.
The game just honestly feels super convoluted and gross right now. Too focused on adding skins and heirlooms to focus on the health of the game. How many seasons have we asked for them to stop releasing new content and fix the game for a season? SBMM in pubs is a stupid decision. No reason to play pubs if I'm getting the same lobbies in ranked but with less rewards essentially.
Apex has lost me until they do A LOT differently.
