Those are established brands , this is a NEW brand in an already overcrowded market. It has to be backed by her personal brand first. Hence the physical launch. If she is not known for her natural hair in a haircare space there will be a gap in brand reach. Personally it does seem like a cash grab. Its not a secret Beyonce struggles in the fashion industry currently so we’ll see how this goes. Not necessarily rooting for her because she already has so much and there are many black owned indie brands who actually worked hard and can’t pay for a multi branded CEO In my opinion, but not to say i want her to fail either.
Umm, no? Ill buy my hair care from people who actually know what they're talking about and not a celebrity who just slaps their name on something and expect money. This is ridiculous.
Go buy a product that is extremely expensive with the same ingredients that brands like Creme of Nature and As I Am etc use and they are very affordable? The rich indeed pretend to be poor so that they can continue to be rich while the poor pretend to be rich so that they continue to wallow in poverty
I’m not a fan, but this product launch makes sense for Mrs. Knowles AND Beyoncé. This is the line I believe she would use to protect and grow her healthy, natural hair. I can list ZERO neigh end, natural hair care lines geared towards black women. Mrs. Knowles and team knew the assignment and are winning.
This is ridiculous. No one else gets this level of criticism. The arguments make no sense at all. People are just so angry and bored with their lives. No explanation has ever been needed for someone to come out with a brand.
I agree. I saw someone comparing her to Rhihanna. That made sense. Then it was Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez. That lost me. They did not share bunch of themselves. Nether does JLo. Gabriel Union nor Taraji have shown their hair being done extensively before but they put their products out. But no one said much. It's because she is so famous and had had several business ventures fail. I don't understand how ivy park failed but was some out so much. But it apparently did.
Am I the only one who doesn't care about "relatability"? I'm usually indifferent to celebrity natural hair care lines. Tracee Ellis Ross, Tia Mowry, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P Henson all came and went without much impact for me. I'm not a Beyonce fan esp, but when I saw the ads for the launch, something hit different. Instinctively, I was attracted to it. I haven't placed an order.......yet, but it's a matter of time.
The fact that Beyonce wears her natural hair all the time and people assume it’s a wig is precisely why she’s qualified to release a haircare line 😂 That one girl lost me when she said Beyonce hasnt worn her natural hair in 20 years.
15:15 I'm definitely agreeing with him because beyoncé always been secretive about her personal life which there's nothing wrong with that but it's like we don't know you for real so we only want the music she doesn't have any real influence on everyday items that you use
But the sad part is its not a case study over time, and if you expect magic in 1 or 2 uses with any product then theres got to be something harsh-chemical or too invasive sooooo ahhhh
People buying Prada, ysl, Gucci without any personal tie. Go buy the product
I didn't say she needs to, I just said it would've helped sell more. And yes those brands do just fine without it.

Why?

Why black people don’t give this much push back to Olaplex lol.
beyonce should of came out with a wig and extension brand. She is known for having good wigs.
But that is another saturated market. And people would still be complaining about the prices.
If solange had launched it it would be more believable since solange is natural and has type 4 hair
❤️💚
I think people are asking more of beyonce than they do any other brands.
You think so? It could be.
Yep

folks position Beyonce as some kind of deity, and people expect a lot from deities.

Solange doing this would have been more successful.
It would’ve made more sense for sure!
I would have shown an interest if it was Solange for true.
But wouldn't get the publicity or have the same "reach". Possibly have Solange in some of the publicity though.

She has production company people dont understand how exhausting constantly be on, tour, studio, putting together shows and being a mother. Come on
Beyoncé is literally the last celebrity I would look to for hair care 🥴🤦🏾♀️ she stay wearing wigs like be for real 🤦🏾♀️🤣🤣🤣 a cash grab 🥱
❤️
instead of a hair care line, she should have done a wig line!

Love seeing/ hearing Zambian girlies on UA-cam 🤍
❤️😊❤️ what gave it away my accent or name?
Wait they can’t afford her clothes but they will buy her wigs and blonde at that? No thank you.
