Looks cool, is functional and well thought out. But there is something missing from all builds of this kind and thats convenience. And to achieve that the spaces have to be bigger. You have to think about walking through the building with a thrall and perhaps even a horse behind you many many times, and they constantly block doors and narrow walkways. Also you might want to add stuff afterwards like more chests beside your work stations or a grinder in the kitchen or alchemy. I´d like to see more builds with these practical necessities in mind, while still being compact and stylish.
@@erris5744 Of course I would park my horse outside to avoid getting stuck but in a real castle you can ride in, put your horse in a stable etc. What has that to do with sociopathy? Sorry if you misunderstand my point. Another example: A tower with a base of one foundation -looks pretty, but how useful is it if you actually play the game.
I just build a city with a castle in the center. A house for the smith, a house for the carpenter, and a stable both inside and outsude the castle. More practical and looks better. Downside is tons of materials used.
A lot of these people don't build for easy access and easy traversal through a castle a lot of them do it for a theme or to just build. Heck my castle city has different houses for each crafting bench, like a blacksmithing, tannery, a library for the magic, alchemist has his own house, etc. most people just enjoy creating fun and amazing builds.
I can relate to the struggle of getting the roof pieces to snap, the amount of times I had to remove 20+ pieces for one piece to be able to snap correctly. But this build turned out amazing, it looks really good! Inspired me to start another castle build myself!
Yeah the building system can be annoying sometimes, especially if something don't snap in correctly. But most of the time I have enough patience to try it again... and again until everything fits.
I'm making this now. Still fairly new to the game, don't have that dlc, so Im just going to use wood. But thanks for the great video step by step how to do it, I love it.
and I am trying to build it now... but i can't get the crenelated wall piece to snap on the wall... you know. on the main tower for example - for aesthetics
You have build a really beautiful castle sir! i was thinking of building something similar, but I have to disagree on functionality tbf. Nothing seems to be easy accesible. I can not top the beauty of it, but mine is a lot more functional :) (I can reach any crafting station within few seconds). But it is functional, and thats it :) (and no, not a square, an actual castle with 6 towers:)
I wanted to leave this comment here because this build is perfect for what I am looking for to a point. I have been spending a few weeks trying to map out and build Talmberg castle. I was hoping maybe you can give that castle a shot CB I love your work and I would love to see what can be done with that. Just a thought though. Thanks for the vid and a castle, awesome build
Thank you for sharing these builds ~ they are gorgeous.. do you remember what pieces you used for that small animal storage inside the gates~~ it had the angles that were just sticks ?? I’ve looked everywhere and don’t see who they could be~~ thank you for your time and sharing your skills with us :)
They are part of a mod called "northern timber" from the steam workshop (I just saw that this mod is missing from the list in the video description :/)
I'll finish it but not sure how practical it's going to be will see when It's done and benches added looks great though taking fooking ages to build too 😂😂
Great build. Do you have any medieval Nemedian castle builds or just a medieval Nemedian build that adds a medieval dungeon under it by using the Lost Dungeon Building Set? I want to have something ready for when the new medieval rack and hanging cage come out on December 14th.
Awesome video, attempting to recreate. How did you get your columns to go all the way to the ground on the tower? My bottoms won’t snap to the rest, foundations are in the way. And how did you get the walls all the way around the foundation? I’m on ps4 3.0
I'm using a mod called "less building placement restrictions" from the steam workshop. Unfortunately PS4 user can't use mods. But it's still possible to recreate this build without mods (the appearance will be a little bit different). 1. You can't place walls around the foundations without mods but you can use fence foundations instead. 2. The pillars can't also be placed all the way to the ground without mods. Only until the foundation. 3. The placing of fences/crenelated walls into walls is also only possible with mods. Unfortunately there is afaik no alternative for console player.
Are you using some sort of mod to place those corner pillars because I keep trying to replicate it on Xbox 1 and it won't let me mimic what your doing with the corner pillars
Yeah I use a bunch of mods, but this should be possible without any mods. Unfortunately I have no experience with the game on xbox so I can't help you with this specific problem.
Ive noticed a lot of ur comments seem to contradict you, youve mentioned to one commentor that u had no mods and no dlcs then in others youve mentioned using mods and dlcs
Well, technically you can do this without the pillars, but then the stormglas-pieces won't blend in so nicely. Unfortunately I have no experience with xbox, so I can't exactly tell you why you experience such problems :/
Yes that's possible but with one exception. Without mods you are not able to merge the pillars with the foundations on the ground (as seen in 2:55) because it will cause collision issues . But above the foundations the trick should work.
Now the real question is spent to answer this: Pieces: 1428 Resources: 9,224 Harden Brick 15 Insulated Wood 15 iron reinforcement 54 fiber 3,909 Shaped Wood 3,257 Steel Reinforcement You are welcome
Pretty not gonna lie but i have to ask where is the functionality for conan? Can't fit a wheel of pain, a stable nor a pen not even a temple less so a map, the purge will hug the wall and archers won't be able to shoot them due the angle. It's perfect for noob river but thats it.
@@GrabbaBeer Well that depends on various things. At first it depends on the server settings... a server with a higher harvest rate is more beneficial for farming huge ammounts of ressources. I'm sorry but if you don't tell your horse to wait outside you are an actual sociopath

looks great, I just built my first castle and my overall first build in Conan so I am looking forward to sharing that video soon
Once you have the first pillar placed 03:14 you can use ceilings and the pillar will be placed on the same line.
I was just about to say that.
I'm making this now. Still fairly new to the game, don't have that dlc, so Im just going to use wood. But thanks for the great video step by step how to do it, I love it.
nice design and build video was good. I also like how you showed the build design at the start
I like the build so far, even though its a speed build I can follow it and I can change up the materials and it still looks good
Ive built this castle like 5 times 😂 i absolutely love it ❤
and I am trying to build it now... but i can't get the crenelated wall piece to snap on the wall... you know. on the main tower for example - for aesthetics

I will keep it in mind for further videos. :)
How are getting the crenalated walls to snap onto wall pieces like that?
I was wondering the same thing cause even doing the old ceiling trick didn't work
Modded
I can tell because the blacksmith doesn’t have that look in game and there aren’t thatch roofs like that.
I built this but changed a few things along the way ❤ the build though
Just started this last night. It’s being added to my current village lol
Great build! I just don't understand how you manage to place the fences on walls.. is it admin only?
Mod
It would be great if there were a second version of this video with commentary and at a slower speed.
How are you placing the crenelations over a wall or door frame, I cannot get it to allow that option?

Hi beautiful build!!! Where did you get the bookshelves 🙏 please 🙏
The bookshelves are from a mod called "beyond decor" from the steam workshop.

Amazingly done ❤. Subbed
thx for that blueprint, well done
What program did you use to make that foundation template?
Must be using a mod that allows you to snap pieces inside of other pieces?

What was used for the grated wall in 17:43 ? Cant seem to find it anywhere
What is the estimated resources to build it, and is it possible to be build on console without any mods ?
Awesome build! I got a question, at 3:49 what's the name of the arch you were using under the stairs?
It's a support-frame (forgot the actual name) from the "Riders of Hyboria"-DLC
@@creativebuilder8839 wooden support strut i believe, in stable pack
What kind of wall foundations are those ? I have people of the dragon but cant find any of those pieces
i am building this castle and i love it! i try to find the braziers you put on the wall outside the gate but cant find them. Which mod are those from?
Those braziers are part of the basic game, no DLCs or mods are required.
What window mod/dlc did you use for the windows in the church?
its stormglass :) I am building it now
Quick question is there a way to do this without pilars cause xbox wont let me snap it in place
Well, technically you can do this without the pillars, but then the stormglas-pieces won't blend in so nicely. Unfortunately I have no experience with xbox, so I can't exactly tell you why you experience such problems :/
Can I place the pillars at the borders of the main tower like your even without "less building placement restrictions"?
Yes that's possible but with one exception. Without mods you are not able to merge the pillars with the foundations on the ground (as seen in 2:55) because it will cause collision issues . But above the foundations the trick should work.
resource list quantity with structure names would make perfect tutorial

It's not to bad. Was this for an RP server? If so, that accounts for the build missing a few things.
Can i get a mats list pretty please?
Parabéns pelo vídeo e principalmente por compartilhar o esquema de construção
2:49 i can't seem to place the pillar thats it the grass, underneath the other one, my foundation seems to be the same height as yours :(
You need to install the mod he is using it‘s called Less Building Restrictions
@@msunholy4883 on offical server so can't lol
Would anyone know the name of the music that starts at 7:12 and runs to 8:50 ?
I Wish i could get a bookshelf with a globe on PS4
What's the location of the black ice version?
10/10
Dude the first pillars keep breaking and I don’t know why whenever I try to pick the stairs back up😊
Do you know how many building pieces this was?
I can't get the pillar to stay in 2:32 can anyone tell me why I'm following exactly what he's doing
Is there a link to the full decoration video
No unfortunately not.... I thought until now that the entire decoration stuff is just not interesting enough for a additional video.
10:29 how did you snap the fence to the doorways?
I use a mod called "less building placement restrictions" from the steam workshop. It allows me to place fences in doorframes (and some other stuff)
At 4:47 I can't get those parts to do that idk why
The courtyard is way too cramped

C'est à quelle endroit sur la carte
Looks cool as shit, needs to be twice the size tho
Yes I agree, but I tried to make it relatively small so that singleplayer can build it without spending weeks for farming the necessary ressources.

Well its not a "functional" castle, anyone can climb in and out of the castle super easily but its good looking
