I actually had to look for the trailer when it came out.
A lot of my friends who loved Fury Road had no idea this came out.
It will do great once it’s on Netflix and so on but unfortunately it’s a flop.

The camerawork is really interesting. Nobody uses a camera like George Miller.
He credits Happy Feet for giving him more camera movement. Lol
How George Miller directs action is so incredible, the setup of his action sequences is amazing.

I'm sorry but furiosa is better in a lot of ways imo, but it also improves on fury road, but I feel they both improve each other in many ways they are a single film while being separate counterparts
I'm sorry but both can exist side by side and we all can enjoy them both equally, alongside previous 3 Mad Max movies. All of them are awesome!

It's edited and not what the shot looks like in the film at all. We saw it at the Sydney premiere. There's a LOT more during that moment.

@@MrHealingmonk The Revenant and 1917 come to my mind. Infact any director famous for long takes tends to use similar camera movements and shots in their movies especially when making something BIG. It is cinematic, yes. But it's not really rare or uncommon to see them in films.
I mm going to watch this soon. Fan on millers work. Hopefully they expand the fury road world with other characters.
Good movie, watched it yesterday and you need to see it in theaters
far too much cgi, its just not realistic or dirty and gritty enough to be a mad max film.
Honestly I don't mind there being lots of cgi as the real issue to me is the physics of the special effects. It just feels wrong and super fake, almost as if the cgi effects are moving at twice the speed as the live actor portions.

Well first of all this isn't about max so obviously he's not in it and there isn't a "sudden change of actors". Fury road came out almost a decade ago

Nah he was actually great in this film, nothing like his other acts
This film lacks the visual charm and magic of Fury Road by a wide margin. We are all used to films never living up to the hype trailers. Fury Road had an incredibly exciting and intriguing pre release set of trailers. The film itself not only lived up to but exceeded the excitement generated in those trailers. So much so that I saw the film three times in the first four days of its release so that I could take it all in. I saw the 3D version once(not a fan of that) and the standard version twice(far better). It was an amazing experience.
This newer films trailer excites and interests me not in the least. I wish that was not the case but I am assuming that considering the difficulties in filming Fury Road the decision was made to make and take all the shortcuts that CGI provides. I cant blame George Miller for that but the final product suffers. I will certainly pay to see this film in the theater but primarily out of appreciation to Mr Miller for what he brought us with Fury Road. It is possible I am wrong and will love this one and that would be great but I highly doubt it.
Well for me this film is a very good movie that has an intresting character development and I had no expectations to be as good as Fury Road and I was glady surprised.

It is edited weirdly. There is a part, ~30 secs, missing from the first portion versus the cinema cut. I don't know why they did it.

Damn, some scenes look like from Starcraft 1. Terrible colors and lights.
You're insulting Starcraft, it might have dated 3d models in the cutscenes, but the cinematography and atmosphere are still top notch.

The shot of the truck knocking the tower over was done practically - that's a real truck knocking over a real brick tower.

Nothing is wrong with the actual movie. This clip is just weirdly edited , it wasn't like this in the theatre.

The cgi looks bad. The arm looks REALLY bad in the trailer. The wide eyed looks on everyone looks bad. The camera work 🤌. Fat Thor in a madax movie... We will see how that plays out.

@@icesnake90Still the main focus are the human, the survival in Wasteland and the amazing engines and the vehicles. CGI are used only when it needed and that wasn't always there in the movie. All these people who complained about the cg are just unnecessarily nitpicking or bringing down this movie just because they didn't like the trailers and judging only according to box office. That's why this generation are doomed, no surprise.
@@amy_yoshikawa Nah, Furiosa is a prequel no one asked for and came a little too late. Its visuals are definetly a downgrade over Fury Road, but they are tolerable.
Mad Max series are all about high octane action that are focused on a cool, deus ex machina guy named Mad Max. Nobody truly cares to learn more about Furiosa in a Mad Max series. Its really that simple. Its a self indulgent prequel from Miller who cares more about his fictional characters and not what people truly want to see
Cgi truck as good as submarine in Lost season 5.
Hate to break it to you, but that truck is real, and the scene of it hitting the tower that people are complaining looks fake was done practically (though the fire was added in post).
I remember when Fury Road came out people were complaining that the flame thrower guitar was fake as hell, but it was an actual flame thrower guitar. No CGI.

Why does Miller keep repeating the same shots. Mel coming out of the sand, hardy coming out of the sand and now furiosa coming out of the sand.and from other clips I've seen a lot of other shots done again. Bike under truck as an example.

Looks bad. In the opening scene, the motorcycle is set up on obviously placed rocks. Clearly not directed by George Miller.

Fury Road had 2400 VFX shots. So it's not like the CGI in Furiosa is concerning (it's not really). But what's really happening is that the marketing team's blatant lie of "Fury Road was made without the use of CGI" from years ago is finally coming back to bite them.

I have to admit this is weird to not have Max in this. Looks good overall but wow so strange to me
In fact in Fury Road, Max spent the first 40 minutes as a prisoner, bound and gagged, he was quite missing in those minutes and in that first part, Furiosa was the protagonist when he escaped with his truck and Furiosa's protagonism in those first 40 minutes was not bad at all.
