Vegetarian Thali Set Changi Airport Food Court Terminal 1 (airside / transit area)

I am thrilled to find this food court that offers vegetarian meals on their menu, plus, the availability of self-ordering kiosks using Cash or Credit Card! Sometimes, I often get intimidated ordering a vegetarian meal outside of my country, because of fear that they may not understand my dietary needs and it may cause frustrations to me or the staff.
Ordering is very easy, since English instructions are available on the screen. In this vlog, we are ordering from “Kaveri Express Indian Vegetarian”. It is located at the airside - international departures.
In front of Gucci and Burberry, there is an escalator that goes up. Take the escalator, and go left. The restaurant is located within the SG Hawker Food Court.
There weren’t too many diners at that time, however, restaurants may exceed their seating limit at certain times of the day.
At the ordering machine, you will be given a receipt with your order number. You can check the order status at the monitors on the wall, until your order is ready for pick up.
I always love Indian Cuisine, and I was so happy to find this jewel upon my arrival. On the other hand, if you are not into this type of food, although I haven’t checked, I’m pretty sure Subway has something vegetarian to offer, as they have always been my vegetarian food rescue whenever I’m traveling.
The vegetarian meal I ordered was the Special Thali Set, and it tasted really delicious. Although it was a little spicy, perhaps a notch or 2 higher than the usually spicy food that I eat, I really love it! If you compare it to the spiciness of a tabasco sauce, where on the scale of 1 to 10, 5 is my tolerance, it’s a notch or 2 higher.
Paper Towels/Tissue/Table Napkins are not provided in this restaurant, but a handwashing station with soap, water, and hand dryer is available, where you will also return your tray, plates, and other dining utensils.
If you are a transit passenger, a snooze lounge is available in the area, with a great view of the tarmac to keep you away from snoozing. Just don’t forget your sleep mask as the sunlight could get too bright during the day, as well as your ear plugs to keep the noise away from even entering your dreams.
