Fun fact: The "flowers" of sunflowers are actually inflorescences, composed of numerous flowers. The "petals" and each little dot in the center are each flowers.

Botanists sometimes refer to this as a capitulum :) especially for plants in the sunflower family (Asteraceae).🤙🏽
