My daughter and 2 oldest granddaughters lived with me. When the oldest was 7 and the youngest was 2. My oldest would talk for her little sister. She said she wants a cookie, please. I said no it's to close to supper. She actually gave me the side eye and said, I know you didn't just say no to this baby. Well I hope you know you broke her baby heart. Grabbed her sister's hand walking off. I hear her say, it's not your fault. Grown ups are just naughty sometimes 😂

Britt, yes, I had mine off some years back. I'm anemic and my blood levels got messed up a bit. When I woke up from bed one morning, the room was spinning and I couldn't stand up. I was crawling on the floor. It was as though Kevin Hart thumped me on my head. Now, if Kevin Hart would have seen me during that episode, he would have freaked out! I could imagine him screaming "Oh my God! He's dying! Quick! What's the number for 911???!!!" There's nothing funnier than a scared Kevin Hart. 😆
Lol, the only time I have my equilibrium thrown off is when I go on a ride at an amusement park that continually goes round.
Oh yes, I've lost my equilibrium before and that feeling is awful! I think it was near the end of 2009. I woke up, stood up, and the world spun in front of me and I fell to the floor. I waited for the spinning to stop, got back up, and whomp! I was on the floor again. I had to crawl to the bathroom to use it (because you know you need to go when you first wake up), and then I had to crawl out to the living room. I made it to the couch and laid down again. I waited for a while, but every time I tried to stand, the world would go wild and I'd fall down. After a few hours of trying to stand, I got accustomed to the wild motion and was able to half walk to the phone. I called my mom and asked her to take me to the ER because something was seriously wrong. We get there, and the ER doc tells me I have an otolith in my ear. What's that? A small calcium deposit (tiny rock). They build up naturally in people, but usually sit at the bottom of one's ear canal.
One of mine had unlogged and was swimming about in my ear fluid, throwing my equilibrium off. He said this happens all the time to people. He said I should see an ear specialist, who'd be able to fix it for me. I did, and the guy had me go through certain head exercises to get the otolith to return to the bottom of my ear canal, and he said I should be fine. Since then, every once in a blue moon, it'll stir up again and I'll get terrible dizziness, but thankfully it's never again been as bad as it was that day I went to the ER. It does get so bad sometimes that I can't drive or eat or do any normal activities that require the least amount of eye-hand coordination. I am very grateful it's a very rare occurrence for me. It's so freaky when it's happening! Never experienced dizziness on that level or anywhere near it prior to that day in my life. Literally could not walk a straight line or stand upright for more than a few seconds. 😵💫
If it was my dad's day off, he'd get wrapped up in a book and then at like 10pm be like "You kids want some dinner?"
