    That's one good looking car that's going to be cool cruising on the boulevard. Sounded great when you got it started will sound better after everything gets learned and settles into it's own. I always use Teflon pipe thread tape and always wrap three wraps on every thread area, anything less always seems to little and anymore hard to start without mangling tape when you start threading together with mating part. Those fittings on the side of block can be used for external oil coolers, remote oil filters, pressure sending units, or what ever you desire even for somewhat of dry sump system. They call them side oilers you can also pressurize the system through that area.

    Trans always fill torque converter with three to four quarts and fill trans dipstick area with three quarts usually the whole entire system will require 11 maybe 12 quarts on a 4L60e.

    Yellow PTFE tape is the same material as the white tape the only difference is the yellow is thicker for natural gas pipe that's coarser and has more potential for leaks..

    Monumental day congratulations. I’m about 2 weeks away from my first start up. You look a little nervous but you had a big smile on your face. I’m sure I’ll be really nervous.

    Congrats. I know the exact feeling you are having, enjoy it. I have been watching this build from almost the beginning and your videos were a major help when I was planning and building mine. I am going to have to bring my truck out when both of our builds are done so we can go for a cruise.

    Congrats! For the summary, I have two questions, what was the steam/smoke coming off the engine, and what was that puddle underneath? But for a live startup, that was AMAZING. And congrats on a relatively problem free first start.

    • @StreetRodJim
      @StreetRodJim  3 роки тому +2

      Drivers side is a valve cover leak. Underneath was the oil sensor leak. I will discuss in next video.

      @@StreetRodJim if that is it, congrats. You should send this video to the dean of your engineering school. Amazing work and proof that you are a top tier engineer.
