köszönöm Arany úr! The tunes are listed at the beginning: Donna Warner's Scissors (reel in A dor), Molly's Graduation (E dor reel, composed by Dougie MacDonald), and Brenda Stubbert (A dor reel, composed by Jerry Holland). Interestingly, Dougie was a good friend of the older Jerry, and Dougie died in a car crash late in the year that Jerry passed away (2009). A terrible double blow to Cape Breton fiddling. Our thoughts are with the Maritimes as Hurricane Lee approaches, but they are strong folk, and not unused to weathering storms!
I was just wondering if you if this like, original celtic music, as in, the sort of thing they'd have played pre-Romam Britain, or is a mock recreation from later times? Cus I doubt they'd have recorded material from that time musically, nor even have the violin as an instrument, and much of what we associate as being "ancient" celtic practices actually originate in the celtic revivalist movements circa the 18th century and late 19th. So i was just wondering if you know, cus this too me sounds like the latter.

Well done Arany! Are you playing most of the instruments? On 2:25 the tune is taken off!!! Greetings from Hellas.
As far as I know does not, beacause he plays ALL of the instruments and he's also the singer (at least he usually does on records) .

These are three reels from the Cape Breton Island. Their titles are there at the beginning of the video.

Gaël/Gall-Breton/Hungarian/Greek/Sicilian....
Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany and Galicia.
Cape Breton Island is in Nova Scotia in Canada.
Thats because its very wet, it lies in a basin

Since the Scots immigrated to Cape Breton Island
Since the Highland Clearances
