🟠 Meet Ramit Singh Chimni
He is the Chair of the International UNESCO/José Martí Prize and recipient of the José Martí Medal awarded by the José Martí Program Office. He is the co-founder of the Eight Goals One Foundation (8one), where he has spent the past two decades working for the betterment of underprivileged and underrepresented communities. Globally, 8one builds diverse collaborations across demographics and geographies to create synergies for meaningful dialogue and action.
🟠Meet Karthika Sajeev
She is a core team member of the Eight Goals One Foundation (8one) and the official collaborator of the Jose Marti Program Office (OPM). She has been living in Cuba and working on a collaborative project between 8one and OPM named Patria Projects. Under this project, two key initiatives she has been involved in amongst others include: Patria Libros, Cuba's largest digital library for Cuban literature, and Patria Siembra, an initiative aimed at developing networks to tackle the issue of food insecurity in Cuba.
