It’s creepy for me when I think about putting all these Nintendo anti-piracy screens together: like, a kid’s nightmare about wanting to play their favorite game but they keep being booted out and called a criminal by their favorite characters and waking up in a cold sweat-
It's even scarier to think about when you put it that way ngl. I think the idea of being called out by your favorite company through the facade of fun is very unsettling. I think that's why these screens are so popular right now. Thanks for watching!
Especially since it’s likely that some parent or sibling who just couldn’t afford the game, probably has pirated it for their kid only for them to see this..
Thank you, glad it looked somewhat genuine! Yeah, the criminal talk was definitely a dead giveaway. I used it to add to the creepiness factor of the anti-piracy message. Thanks for watching and the feedback :)
This was inspired by someone else’s comment but alternatively Timmy says “Okay, we have the perfect island for criminals like you.” And then you’re sent to a small, completely abandoned island where you’re stuck with no airport, no fruit, no tools, no other islanders, no nothing. And then soon after the anti-piracy screen pops up saying “This isn’t what you planned? Piracy is a serious crime. Go buy the legitimate game like everyone else.”
Reminds me of that game from Lucasarts which put a person in a cell forever and another video game had the skeleton of that mc still trapped in that cell
Thank you so much! That’s what I was going for too; something that fit into the context and tone of Animal Crossing, but still maintained that creepiness vibe of many anti-piracy screens. Glad you enjoyed :)

Okay, honestly that is one of the best I've seen yet. Amazing job! Even with these two little flaws, it looks incredibly realistic, so thank you!

The solemn trumpets at the end only accentuate how upsetting it is to miss such a great opportunity like going to live at a beautiful island, and meeting new friends.
It's fake. In the real screen you are in the plane and a voice from the loudspeaker says "now arriving in heck". Then the screen fades to black. Few seconds later Tom nook appears on the screen, standing in the spotlight. He says "Oh dear, [yourname]... You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"
Some things I would change would be at 0:53 are: -Timmy's Dialogue to be: "Sorry, but as in paragraph (insert random number), we don't allow criminals to partake in our program. We have to ask you to leave this place right now." -Remove the glitch effect and sound after the dialogue. I don't think any modern game, especially ACNH, needs that to scare off pirates.
if the 'we don't serve criminals at nook Inc' and the freezing up was replaced with a simple 'I'm sorry (name), we will have to deny your application because if this' and a gentle fade to black this would have been the most realistic one I would have seen. But it's still really damn good 👏👏👏
Honestly had to watch this twice to notice the freeze before cut to black, because I was convinced this was real for a sec lol. Kinda wish it was because it’s such a natural way to slip it in and doesn’t really stick out like a sore thumb but makes you feel unsettled. Well done.

thank you so much! was definitely going for a chill vibe since that fits with animal crossing, glad you enjoyed it! :D
This was really well made however the anti piracy screen wasn’t very polished
Yeah, definitely wish I put some more work into cleaning some of the text layout up as well as a bit more detail. Glad you enjoyed tho! :)
When any nintendo game stops because piracy, it should appear "the software has closed because an error occurred." along with filled square with ! inside instead of anti-piracy screen
Can't wait to get my hands on a legitimate copy of this with a legitimate switch i jusy love all the legitimateness
'island residents can only thrive in legitimate copies of animal crossing'
it's like their fish tank was too small or something that's kinda hilarious
loool that's an interesting way to put it haha
thanks for watching :D
It would be perfect if instead of the glitch and cut to the window, timmy and tommy handed this to you
Thanks for the feedback! Though it’s not realistic, I added the glitch effect to add a bit of an unsettling vibe to the screen, but that really could’ve worked too, especially when considering it in-universe! thanks for the comment and for watching :)
Poor Adam. He just got a copy of this game for his birthday. It was never his fault.
Adam needs to catch a break ngl
Nice fan-made anti-piracy screen as usual. 👍
Thank you so much! Glad you also enjoyed my second attempt :D
I can't tell what's real or not anymore because I don't think games like this would freeze right after a message about how you aren't allowed to continue on...
You're right! Typically, a video game won't crash when it detects anti-piracy. Instead, it typically bricks itself from being played and gives a quick warning. Thanks for the comment and for watching! :D
Sounds like this was fan made. It looked so legit. It is very likely Nintendo did add an anti piracy thing into their game. They do it for a good bit of their games.
Yeah, it's a common measure many of their games take! I'm glad it looked authentic, thank you so much for the feedback and for watching! :D
Other piracy screens: creepy
ACNH: pretty please turn off ur switch
haha basically!!
0:44 I don’t like when the music is starting to get creepy
Found it! OK, Adam, we're all set. Wait! There's more! *timmy stares blankly into the void*
That was hyper realistic... good work
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed :D
Tommy: Stares at Adam soullessly
*death stare intensifies*
finally i found what happens
yeah, if only! thanks for watching :)
I wonder what shadow the hedgehogs game does that warning
I see that Tom Nook has been teaching his children well.
Me who’s birthday is on July 7th: Crap
Since I've made one of my own, I'd say you should probably edit the font to the ACNH One, and remove the music, then it'd look 10x more realistic.
GIMME A BREAK, I HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THIS GAME OR DOOM ETERNAL!
This is pretty good. Nothing to make it overly creepy or threatening.
Thank you! I think it’s a bit creepier when an anti-piracy screen fits within the context and tone of the game rather than feeling overtly gory and corny, comes out as somewhat more real! Thanks for watching! :)
This is so damn well made. Seems real.
Keep it up
ayy thank you so much! glad you enjoyed! :D
i love this one,its the only one when it’s not either too much angry or too much scary because in both way,it can scare the kid
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :D
As we all know piracy is no party
And yet, Gullivarrr manages to crashes onto our island undetected.
*P O W E R O F F N O W*
Finally a good anti-piracy screen we are trying to teach people lessons not give them ptsd
Thank you :D
Wanted to go realistic with just a tiny bit of a scariness. Glad you enjoyed it!
i was so damn scared that this was gonna happen to me
hold up lol
KremeFish
lol yeah it sounds kinda sus but i thought i had accidentally got a fake copy of animal crossing for some reason
That scare the deal out of me when it said my name
oof, that must’ve been creepy! D:
@@KremeFish yup my name is Adam
>:( HOW DATE YOU TAKE FIRST I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW MY MOM OWNS EPIC GAMES
Is this satire
The HOW DATE makes it even funnier
and i own your mom
Awesome, it's great to see that Mario Party DS anti piracy video is spreading in the way I hoped it would when I first saw one of them. Bring on all the more of these!
Thank you so much!! I'm planning on keeping at it a bit, I enjoy making them! :D
wait i cant tell if this is real or not
It's not real, but it's a well-done fake.
@@jeremyriley1238 damn, it seems real
ye it be fake. thanks for watching, glad it looked somewhat authentic :)
@@KremeFish its really well made. maybe what makes it look more realistic is not having the glitch effect when the anti piracy pops up, makes it more realistic tbh
Wait this is fake? lmao I could've sworn it was real if I hadn't read the description or the comments haha this is very well done
Thank you so much!! Glad you found it realistic haha, definitely what I was striving for :D
IM THE FIRST ONE NOWW
Imagine being a kid of like, 7 or 8 playing an illegal copy wothout even knowing what it is and then seeing that, they would be scared for the past years…
My favorite one is still when Timmy and Tommy call the Animal Crossing police on you in New Leaf
Congrats Nintendo, Your Game Is Safe.
Not all anti piracy measures have to involve death and creepypastas. They can just be “sorry nope go pay $5 like everyone else did and come back :))”
Honestly sounds like something they'd say, it is just that kind of game! instead of jumpscaring you, they'll just kindly ask you to support the game haha. Anti-piracy stuff should fit the theme of the game rather than going over-the-top I believe! Thanks for the comment and for watching :D
This is both creative and well made. I love seeing things like this!
Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed!! :D
