You might be using Outbreak Wrong

- You might be using Outbreak wrong. Outbreak perfected can be crafted with 4 different perks. Most people use rapid hit for better stability and faster reload speed, but those people are WRONG. Outbreak deals more damage the more nanites are on your target, so you want to shoot as much as possible so you can spawn the max amount of nanites and keep them on your target. And the best perk for that is rewind rounds. This will automatically reload Outbreak each time you empty your magazine and this will trigger multiple times. So with this and extended mag, you can shoot over 100 rounds without ever needing to reload, allowing you to deal the most damage with Outbreak.

Most people are not in fact choosing rapid hit
Chose rapid hit refuse to use any other perk on it
@@UwUchibixOnly 3.8% of OP users run rapid hit. Stop nerfing yourself

I like rapid hit for the feel because rewind makes the gun feel horrible for me (bc 45 bullets makes the reload awful), but I still use rewind because it’s just better

rewind for dps, but rapid hit is better for ad clear and general use

Don't choose extended mag, it's one extra burst for -30 reload speed just use appended.
literally nobody is using rapid hit
I am
I wouldn't say Rapid Hit is the "wrong" choice. It's a consistency perk, it's good to have for PvP or for add clear roles on the weapon. It serves a different purpose for it, and makes it good to have a version with both perks to use in different situations. You use Rewind Rounds for Champion and boss content like GMs or raid bosses, and Rapid Hit for everything else, simple enough.
For pvp Headseeker is better than Rapid Hit and you have outlaw intrinsic perk by default.
@@OutbreakPerfectedD2 I'd say it's preference. I think weapon feel is important for some situations over the occasional benefit of cleaning up sloppy kills with Headseeker, especially for players who like the Stability of Rapid Hit and can remain on target effectively. It enables consistency and has always been a fantastic choice on Pulse Rifles, namely ones like The Messenger, for a good reason. Outlaw is good but usually worse imo, since you'll get similar reload benefits from Rapid Hit, with added recoil mitigation, which increases consistency and rewards you for being consistent, effectively feeding into itself more and providing the same end result of faster reloads. Both allow for pretty fast paced gameplay as opposed to damage after not hitting your heads.
Rapid Hit is easily the Jack-Of-All-Trades perk for the weapon for this reason, it works in so many situations, only really outright losing out to Rewind Rounds for the niche of boss DPS, otherwise performing well.
👀
So you’re the “most people”
@@hardluckmk.52 I mean yeah I use it on my main roll of the weapon for general use. Think about it like this: If you're just using it to kill normal enemies most of the time, do you need to optimize your damage output with an exotic primary, which gets (after nerfs) a roughly 30% damage buff against a majority of enemies (red bars/minor adds). Personally, the reload speed and stability just feels good for that job more than Rewind does. Plus, having multiple copies of the weapon also solves the issue of doing less DPS, since you can just swap to the Rewind Rounds one for higher damage output.
Yeah, Rapid Hit is basically the choice that can’t go wrong. It’s the jack of all trades, master of none. RR shouldn’t be used for PvP, Outlaw shouldn’t be used for Champs/Bosses, and Headseeker shouldn’t be used for PvE.
My friend told me to put rapid hit on it but I had felt like rewind rounds was better. Turns out I was right

Counterpoint: Rapid Hit is a better generalist perk that means I don't need a PvE Outbreak roll AND a PvP Outbreak roll.
Actually spitting facts here.
Counterpoint: dont Play pvp
@@Rychu-zo1pw While I would normally agree with you, PvP feels like it's in a really good spot at the moment and is genuinely satisfying to play for the first time (for me at least) since the 30th anniversary drop.
Plus, it's nice to have some weapons on standby for when your buddies who main PvP and raid rarely hop on. I wanna play with them and if they're not raiding the only option is PvP or running around the Pale Heart, and that just gets boring eventually unless you're actively farming for class items.

I’m glad that I opened the comments when he said “Most people use Rapid Hit” and just see everyone not in fact using rapid hit

Nope. Still using Rapid hit. Reload speed is already fast af so it don't matter. Idgaf what you say Marshix.
Just use one kinetic loader
@@EreptileDysfunctionno
@@EreptileDysfunction waste of a slot
@ thedsbrothers waste of an entire perk when you can shoot the equivalent of three magazines with rewind
@@EreptileDysfunction No it's not. Rapid hit already has a super fast reload so it doesn't matter and thus you use the empty armor slot for something like momentum transfer. Rewind rounds? Sure you don't have to reload for a while and reloading is slow and you can put on a kinetic reloader mod, but that fills up that slot for momentum transfer.
Rapid hit gives more options. Rewind rounds doesnt. Full stop. End of story.

The Ghost of Rewind Past came to visit this man cuz NOT A SINGLE SOUL uses Rapid Hit 😭😭
The other trick for rewind is in settings, enable full auto firing and you just need to hold down the trigger!
Most people font breath air but in fact breathing air makes living possible! Now you know.
Bro’s reinventing the wheel
To be honest, I used to use Rapid Hit as it was a solid perk choice for OP at the time.
Then, Rewind Rounds came into my life and I never looked back.
Outbreak is the new Polaris.
I’ve never seen anyone use rapid hit if they have rewind rounds. People only use rapid hit if that’s all they have
I prefer rapid hit because it allows the weapon to add clear good while still being decent for damage with the faster reload. RR rounds are good only for single target dps but it sucks for add clear which outbreak is really meant for.
ah yes, because I totally needed more stability for probably the most stable gun in the game
Ah yes, Wewind Wounds.
I've never heard of anyone using rapid hit
outlaw is still the best perk for it in my use case. outbreak is such a good ad clear weapon, and even with outlaw it does well enough against the bigger enemies
ends up taking 30 years to reload 😂
“Most people are eating Live Shark. “
No, you just made this up so that you can get click bucks
Rapid Hit is better for strike-style gameplay where you’re gonna be fighting a bunch of smaller enemies and want to reload more frequently. Rewind Rounds is better against bigger enemies like champions and bosses
Bro thinks we all have rapid hit, while he's double primary'ing a GM. I'm dead.
You cant convince me there is a single person out there picking Rapidhit over Rewind Rounds
hi
Lol 😂😂😂 rapid hit
Alsi the "those people are WRONG!!!"😂
according to light gg rapid hit is literally the least used perk in that column, outlaw is highest because it's default and not everyone has done the full quest but rewind is second
Jokes on you, I don't even have it. So there.
Gotta love them weewoowounds
Oh wait, I should've gone with Rewind Rounds?!?
Never knew that, next you're telling me that I should aim at the enemies and not the walls or my teammates. Crazy world we live in
I’ll remember this next time I want to be kicked from lfg for doing dps with a primary weapon 😂
I don’t know a single person that chooses rapid hit over rewind.
Step 1: find a team that'll help me with switches so I can get the goddamn catalyst
Damn your so right, I need to recraft my outbreak so in pvp I can get more nanites on my target
Rapid hit is only good for the reload speed given that outbreak has little to no recoil as is, so more stability only provides flinch resistance
The only reason why I’m using rapid hit is bc I am not trying to run an expert zero hour again, lfg was awful 💀
My man, a simple light gg will show you 98% of the community is using rewind.
Where was I when the outbreak became craftable
"those people are WRONG 😡"
Literally, no one who actually has access to all the traits is using anything other than Rewind.
To be fair, people DID want Rapid Hit on Outbreak and then Rewind Rounds came along and that was the end of that.
Now if we could just get Rapid Hit replaced with or supplemented by something else on Touch of Malice…
My Outbreak shoots and then stops randomly like it's broken or glitched out.
For some ungodly reason I can’t say rewind rounds it comes out as
“Wewind wownds”
Ran into someone doing a gm and he had the outbreak you pull from collections…..
Rapid for more casual play and general activities, rewind for any difficulty based content
Rapid Hit for General & Solo, Rewind for group DPS with other Outbreaks
We did the gm easily using two tether hunters on void with Orpheus Rig (fully invis no stylist) and a Prismatic getaway artist build with song of flame to solo dps the boss and used outbreak with rewind rounds
Thanks for this!!!
I like rapid hit more for the consistency and gerally better feel, since there's times where I just dont really need wewind wounds and reload anyway
me using rapid hit cause i didn’t want to complete the final step to get rewind rounds
Guys be nice he just got “Into the Light” he’s been using the outlaw for a long time
I've still been using Outlaw (didn't know it could be crafted)
26k kills with rapid hit says otherwise
If it’s between outlaw and rapid I’d rather have outlaw. Outbreak doesn’t need stability it’s already a laser beam
I still enjoy rapid hit
If you're not using rewind rounds my assumption would be that you're missing shots lol.
You might be using Whisper of The Worm wrong, most people use it to get body shots, but the gun actually works better on headshots! And that's why-
I just wish he said “wewind wounds” bc that’s how it’s actually pronounced 😂
I have original outbreak.. I have never been able to get to the boss.. I get Lost in the jumping puzzle.... Man I wish.. I was with a team once.. they made it to the boss.. an opened the chest.. but I didn't get anything.. I finally bought it at the Tower
Yes my favorite wewindwound. I love outbreak more now😂
I did rewind rounds and tactical mag, because the eventual reload speed for extended mag is super bad and this way I dont need a kinetic loader
rapid hit sounded better for reload over a long period of damage. turns out rewind rounds is likely bugged and any damage related to the weapon activates it. this means the nanite swarm damage counts as hits, effectively giving you like 10 more damage ticks per mag than you should have. on other weapons, explosive payload has a neat interaction where every single bullet does two ticks of damage, giving you literally infinite ammo as the gun is actually ammo positive as long as you dont miss like half the mag
for a more detailed description as to why this works: rewind rounds puts 60% of the damage ticks caused by the weapon back into the mag. on a normal weapon, hitting every shot gives you 60% of the magazine; on an explosive payload weapon you get 120% (although it cannot overflow the mag), and on outbreak you get about 95%
Naw i use rapid hit just so i can hit my target from longer ranges its more consistent but rewind rounds is the preferred
Don't really need stability when you can get 100 recoil direction and rewind basically reloads for you.
I can’t agree… 100 reload and a .9 scaler from rapid hit reloads so fast it’s like your shooting indefinitely any way… your about 1 vs 1.5 second reload with and without rapid hit so your only loosing half a second after rewind rounds needs to reload… but now you have all that extra stability to hit more crits and utility to compulsive reload, and still do good dps, or hell even take it into pvp…. Rapid hit all day 😎
I'm still trying to figure out how I'm gonna use that gun without using double primary in GM. But everyone seems to be cool with it these days, pay no attention to the level of anxiety the D2 community put me through for doing that . Now it's cool😤
I don't even have the crafted version.
Same lol, I haven't really bothered with the mission ("sKiLl IsSuE") so I've just been rocking the default version, which has been working fine for me (plus the precision kill sound followed by Outlaw activating is super satisfying)
I am using outbreak wrong if I didnt know I could craft a new one.
Me using base outbreak perfected from before mars was added.
Ive never seen a person using rapid hit tbh
I enjoy outbreak and with Anti barrier pulse this season I have a good excuse to use it but I need the 1st 2nd and 3rd switch sets.
Never seen anyone with rapid hit
You might be using rapid hit but no one else is
I kept telling people to use Rewind and all of them clowmed me glad to know i am right lol
Not gonna lie I’ve never seen a person not using rewind rounds it’s kinda the whole point of getting crafted outbreak
I use Rapid Hit because it's the Jack of All Trades, Decent in PvE and PvP, I don't feel like changing it each time or making another Outbreak, it really doesn't matter THAT much, it makes a difference yeah but it's not life or death really, Rewind on a primary feels janky to me on top of all that
it just don’t make enough difference to me to go outta my way to craft
It depends on what you’re trying to use outbreak for. If it’s extended periods of dps then yes rewind rounds is a better choice, however if you’re going for PvP or even add clear options then Rapid Hit would be the better option. Personally I can’t do rewind rounds because of muscle memory of the old outbreak with outlaw so rapid hit does the trick much better for me
No, rapid is ONLY for PvP, and my guy, the only way to break a habit is to actually try, you crying about "muscle memory" is not really a valid point. You just sent even trying.
@@jakubbercik6965 I have tried and rewind was the perk I wanted because it made more sense with the Siva weapon. But when I use Outbreak mainly as a crowd control weapon having rewind wasn’t as beneficial to me.
