I haven't figured out how to change military time. Some of these watches have that problem, but I don't really notice because part of our household uses miltary time. I wish I knew, maybe it's time for me to find a watchface replacement app.

i just ordered this and i know its really sort of made for stand alone but can i use it to control my phone im not interested in paying a carrier for a sim card monthly to essentially do everything id already just do on my phone. i love your videos i was wondering about getting new chargers so i could have a couple extra and then lastly how does it handle a rainy day, sweat, and lastly and accidental shower session where you failed to take off watch before entering a normal 5 minute shower.
I find many problems with this DM98 smart watch. Firstly, the sim is not support . it shows mobile network not available whereas the same sim card works properly on any mobile handset(in India). Secondly, the weather shows location of Alaska by default and it can't be changed to my location or any other location. Thirdly, voice input keyboard is not supported. Dear seller if you have solutions for any of the above issues please let us know. Otherwise we are bound to post negative feedback for this product and shall never recommend anybody to go for it. Very nice review! I'd like to use this watch primarily to watch Netflix movies and shows. However, I would find it extremely uncomfortable to hold up my arm for an entire movie since you have to hold your arm up to view the screen unlike a phone. Good concept though.

If you can get the watch to pair with the phone one time, and later it doesnt connect, try rebooting the watch which USUALLY works. The watch automatically finds the phone after a reboot.

The GPS doesn't really have a speedometer- that might be a function of the app that you are using. It does not have an SD card slot. I don't recommend buying this watch-- there have been several updated versions since this video was made.

I think that aside from all the other features, as cool as they may be, the fundamental purpose of a smartwatch is to make and receive calls/text conveniently and quickly without having to pull your phone out of your bag/pocket etc. I.e. saves having to physically carry a phone in your hand all the time. So my simple question is, does the DM98 connect with your phone via Bluetooth or similar to be able to do so? Or do you have to install its own SIM just to make calls and text (therefore added monthly privuder costs and worse a second phone number) just to have this basic feature? There seem to be a lot of youtube reviews of the DM98 but none seem to clearly state this? That is in fact if it is the case or there is actually a way around this, with an app or dual Sim cards or the like? Help please. Thanks
No, depending on your provider, you can take your SIM out of your phone, and use it in the watch. You can call, receive, text and etc, all FROM the watch, eliminating the need of the phone itself. If your last phone was google sync'd then it should be the same as setting up a phone with a google account, syncing contacts, emails, etc. Spotify , Pandora ,sound cloud, etc. are all supported, so you can stream music, and you can also DOWNLOAD music/videos to the watch ITSELF, if you do not want spotify or etc.
I live in Nigeria and my GSM service provider lets you clone your SIM up to 4 times. That is, you can have altogether 5 SIMs of your phone number. So, I simply cloned my phone SIM into the DM98. When I have a call, both my phone and the DM98 ring and I can pick the call from either.

I do not have a SIM card installed. All of my usage examples are without the SIM card. Battery life with Bluetooth was about five hours, but I might take a closer look at this in my next video.

One of the two black watchfaces seems to have a bug. It is stuck, it shows a cloud icon and the letters "FC" below it. There is another watchface very similar -- near the leftmost end of the choices. It does correctly show the current temperature and weather. You must have Location setting turned on in Settings. It may take a while for the Locations to correctly "discover" itself.
Yes it can do that if you insert the 3g card,so you can have it like a phone. But i don't think it can answear for the phone. Like pair the watch with the phone through bluetooth and then get notification on it from the phone.
The watch does not seem to have the correct Bluetooth profile to allow you to use it as a headset for the watch. I was disappointed but Bluetooth seems to be a battery drain anyways.
I often have troubles with the "FunFit" app which is supposed to connect the phone to the watch via Bluetooth. I'm going to take another look at the problem in my next video.

DZ09 and DZ08 have a second generation (QW09 and QW08) that can watch UA-cam and work like basically a smartphone but small...........DZ09 and DZ08 is around 15 dollars and QW09 and QW08 is around 40 dollars.you walcome
For all users that have problem with battery. If I don't mystify so the battery can be replaced with a 50x34x5mm battery 800-1000mAh 3,7Volt. Non-original costs 6 times lower than "original" . All you need is solder and it's not difficult to replace
@@Palladion If charging does not start, you must open the backside and there are cables leading to the battery at the top left. Measure with a voltmeter and if it is dead and has low voltage, it must be desoldered and given a new one!

You need to install and use the FUNFIT application. It's not fantastic, and there may be other similar apps that do a better job.

Download Watch Droid Phone & the watch companion app. That fixes the notification issues.

I think you can install Google Pay, but the watch does NOT have NFC needed for tapping or contactless payment.

No I haven't tried anything except basic wifi.
How do you get back in if you forgot your pin code password. Is there any way to do a factory reset without having access to the phone settings.
Sometimes holding down the buttons on the watch will factory reset it.
