Seems like you like uniforms that especially have epaulettes, you should try looking at Napoleonic Wars uniforms, particularly French Old Guard, British 95th Rifles and Polish Lancers and French Chasseurs-a-Cheval
2:31 It's not pronounced "e'spirit de corpes" like we would say in English, but because it's a phrase coined in France, its pronounced with French pronunciation: "e'spree de cor".
Nice video. Actually checking Mexican military uniforms (the Heroic Army and Heroic Navy College are among the best imo) would be really nice! If you need any help with the history of the institutions maybe I could help. There's also the "charros" that, while not using a standard uniform, have a specific dress code and are present in our Military Parades since they are the official 3rd Reserve of the Mexican Army and it's Cavalry Core (the first and second reserves being former military personnel, divided by age: 19-30 years for the first and 30-50 for the second). You can see them in the Mexican Independence Day military parade Other uniforms that seem very nice to me are Spanish Guardia Real. In general uniforms that have the style and history of those units, that seem like something that they could've been using in the 1800s or prior, like the Swiss Guard, have always fascinated me.
Antonio, uniforms to look at: 1) Spain’s Royal Guards dress Uniform 2) Spain’s Civil Guards dress uniform 3) Canada’s Royal Canadian Mountain Police (RCMP) dress uniform 4) Spain Marine Infantry dress uniform (both A & B) 5) British Royal Marines dress uniform 6) Republic of China (Taiwan) Honor Guards of each of the four branches 7) Denmark’s Royal Life Guards dress uniform 8) France’s Republican Guard dress uniform 9) Sweden’s Life Guards dress uniform 10) Norway’s Royal Guards dress uniform 11) Netherlands Royal Guards dress uniform 12) Italy’s Corazzieri dress uniform
Hi Antonio, greetings from Argentina It always gives me goosbumps when you mention the Cavallery Granedier Regiment from our Country. Here is a true story that maight interest you: CGR (or Regimiento de Granaderos a Caballo) was founded by (at that time) Col. José de San Martín in 1812. His "baptism of fire" took place Feb. the 3rd of 1813 against Spanish forces in a town called San Lorenzo. In that battle, San Martín´s horse was injured and fell trapping San Martin´s leg. Sgt. Cabral helped him and gave his life to save his commanders one. BTW: Argentinian troops won that battle. After San Martin´s campaigne crossing the Andes, liberating Chile and Perú from Spanish domain, he retired to France where he died in 1850 at the age of 78. A few years later, one of our Presidents decided to bring back his remains witch rests in Buenos Aires´s Cathedral. And here goes the most interesting part of the story: at the time San Martín´s reminds arrived in Buenos Aires, ONLY 7 of the original soldiers of the Regiment were alive (at that time retired) and they decided to escort their former chief commander. And that event started a tradition that is current until today no matter who is ruling the Goverment. Therefore ONLY 7 Grenadiers are San Martín´s honour guards in the BA Cathedral. And YES! those uniforms are head turning. Thank you so much for this. Cheers from NE Patagonia, Argentina (a dream place).
I will sound like a nerd but to be true to the facts you would have to say that San Martín forces fought against the royalist forces. We must remember that most of the "Spanish forces" were simply people from the various viceroyalties under the command of Spanish officers
@@kervisote20 Yes, 95% of the "Spanish" fórces were born in América, and by that time ALSO San Martín and his men were SPANIARDS born in Spanish provinces in Argentina, Peru etc etc It was a CIVIL war and nothing else ( but It sounds much better for the national sprit de corps to say "the war against Spanish domain" or "opression" )
Since you spoke about the Carabinieri, there are also the Corazzieri, the President guards, and they're also part of Carabinieri. Thy uniforms are amazing
Former Thai Royal Guard, 2nd Cavalry Division, King's Guard(6 months volunteer) I appreciate your opinion about the uniform. It's good to see us recognise in a world dictated by western values
Oh yes, I remember when I saw a picture of SS-officers in their black uniforms for the first time! They look dashing but with the Death Head on uniform cap,the runes and the swastika it has something mystical, too! I have some pictures of SS-men who belonged to a cavalry unit.
And the uniforms of the Wehrmacht look so great! And don't forget the Navy!My grandfather was a navy officer and a photo of him is on my wall.He fell for Germany (ship was torpedoed in west western Mediterranean Sea).
You should check out the Regimiento de Patricios (Regiment of Patricians) from Argentina, they were initially a local militia formed in 1806 after the British tried to conquer Buenos Aires (back then it was still a Spanish colony). I love their top hat, back then the citizenry wore that to battle and nowadays it fits perfectly for ceremonial duty, their military band is also one of the best ever, they even have their own military anthem called “El Uno Grande” which is an absolute banger, the Patricios together with the Granaderos are our most prestigious units and their uniforms are fire.
I think it's very useful to look at uniforms when forming one's style, because as opposed to trends that come and go and do not necessarily do anything positive for the wearer, a uniform is influenced by tradition and has one priority, to flatter the wearer and make them look imposing. Those same elements are relevant in good civilian fashion.
What a great show... As an ex Brit soldier for many years. Here's some uniforms to think about. 1) The Guards 💂♂️. 2) The Royal Marines. 3) The Norfolk/Suffolk Yomanry. (ex 202 battery Royal Artillery .Territorial Army). 4) The Polish Navy honour Guard.
Germanys 'Wachbatallion' uniform is a awesome eyecatcher. It looks just like THE military uniform... If you know what I mean... Very old school, elegant yet practical and even includes the Stahlhelm germans are so known for.
If he makes another similar list I hope he gives full love to the uniform of the cadets of the Colegio Heroico from Mexico, their uniforms are amazing!
Hi Antonio, The VRI on the RCR badge stands for Victoria Regina Imperatrix or in English Victoria, Queen and Empress. Being from southern Ontario I worked closely with the RCR then based in London, Ontario and many other area units early in my career. Like most units in Canada and the east of the country in particular they go back a long way. One unit, the Queen’s York Rangers in Toronto, hereditarily dates back to Roger’s Rangers from 1755 in New Hampshire. Back in the old days a lot of units were militias that were formed in cities and counties. It was the War of 1812 and 24 August 1814 when 4500 British regulars and Upper Canada militias advanced the eastern Potomac River, following a battle victory at Bladensburg the invading forces quickly routed a hastily arranged mishmash of 7000 mixed service US defenders and took Washington. That day the attackers sacked the White House,Treasury, Department of War, Library of Congress, Capitol Building, a newspaper that published unflattering pieces about the naval force commander (RAdm Cockburn) and the Naval yard before withdrawing the following day. Most private property was left untouched. The attack was sparked as retaliation for the burning of the cities of York (Upper Canada’s (now Ontario) Capital)and Niagara but drew some backlash from not only the US but also England and Europe due to the extent of the damage. Thankfully the war ended soon after and we have been friends and allies ever since. Now, gotta do the Canadian Highland Units in the next one.
You gotta add more Asian uniforms. Would love to hear your opinion on the Gorkha uniform. UKs,India's,Singapore's & Nepal's all look very good imo. So would be nice to see your thoughts on which gorkha uniform is the best.
Antonio great video! But how can a civilian incorporate some of that military style into his wardrobe without being corny or worse crossing the line into stolen valor?
Don’t wear current real kit, that irks Vets. No problem with “inspired” clothing. Green khaki clothing or a t shirt with a logo on it tells us you support us and like out look. I actually served and have a green tee shirt with a camo Jays logo on it I got at WalMart. I also have tees with coded logos on them that any Canadian Vet would understand but they are also available to civies from a private business. If I saw another one I would know the coded meaning and ask if they served but would not be offended if they didn’t and would probably have to explain the logo’s meaning. (or maybe just smile and keep it to myself! 🤣) Thats not Stolen Valour as these are commercially available pieces. Stolen Valour isn’t really what you wear, per se, it’s what you portray. A kid in a stripped down surplus camo jacket re-engineered with some designers logo on it that they got at some high end shop isn’t going to bother me that much, especially if its older outdated issue. Some goof in a full uniform with medals and badges trying to BS people they are some kind of war hero or bilking people for money and benefits they are not entitled to….that irks us. Just don’t try to fake service, we know how to root that out quickly.

Have you looked at the two royal Danish regiments, the Royal Life Guards (they actually still wear real bear skin, unlike other regiments who have gone over to synthetics) and the Guard Hussars' Mounted Squadron?
The Regimental Uniform of The Scots 308th Black Watch Battalion was adopted by that regiment in the 16 hundreds primarily because the majority of the members were members of Clan Campbell, wearing their native areas Tartan Kilt. In order to make cohesion as painless and inexpensive as possible, the Regimental Commander ordered all members of other clans and septs trade their own Tartan kilts in for the Campbell Modern Tartan, (which looks outstanding under their military tunics), And later after they won a few battles, their monarch decided to make it the Official 308th Black Watch Tartan.
You are talking about The Royal Canadian Regiment but the uniform is actually the dress uniform of a lot of Canadian infantry units. Most of your video is correct but in some you have pictures of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. How can you tell? I'd say we gotta respect some band members 1) U.S. Marine Band has some very nice uniforms 2) Royal Thai Army Band also has a very nice uniform. Though it is pretty hard to find using English, there is a video of them doing a parade in South Korea which shows it off nicely.
Hello Antonio, you could try to rank Honour guard of Slovak president (Slovak presidential guard).....but hussar-like uniform (that oldschool ceremonial, which is use for indoor ceremonies) or you can rank both uniforms (outdoor and indoor).
Search for Garda Nationala a Romaniei and for Garda de Onoare a Jandarmeriei Romane. This are 2 special units from Romania(the country of count Dracula). They have some of the most beautiful uniforms in the world. Let me know what you think of them, after you take a look. I like your channel very much! Keep up yhe good work!

Hello from India To see Indian army uniform just see the republic day parade 2021 or prior.also check the uniform decorum of camel mounted troop and world's only camel mounted band(it will be definately unique and extraordinary)
I'll have to admit.. top for US would be little brothers Marines Dress Blues. A very very close 2nd would be Navy Dress Blues. Nothing else comes close haha
I've suggested this previously: What is the origin story behind the US civil war era confederate uniforms? Did I hear correctly a long time ago that they were designed by a Prussian immigrant who modeled them on Austrian marksmen? I'd like to know if I heard wrong.
Personnellement ... Les plus beaux uniformes qui existent sont ... L'uniforme de l' école militaire de saint cyr, l'uniforme de la garde républicaine française, l'uniforme des spahis français, l'uniforme des écossais ... Et les uniformes français en général ...
Seeking stile you must look at France and of course Italy, there’s nothing in the world that makes a man looking bad as standing aside a sharp dressed Italian.
if you are interested I can send you the uniforms of all the historical Italian regiments starting with the grenadiers of Sardinia which is the oldest regiment in service in the world founded in 1659

@@mauricesalaman7308 that would be the uniform of the Spanish Legion, which Antonio already talked about
also i would suggest (even if it is no longer in function as a unit) the spanish assault guard :)
