Honestly that's how you kinda treat every fight in this game (as a boss fight). Even the smallest enemy makes you think if you need to engage or run (but consequences either way of fighting or fleeing). Added in with the fact that, like you said, each song feels like something out of a boss fight!
Careful walking the woods alone at night, for who knows what horrors lurk in the darkness. Man eating plants, wolves, horrible old men, a man infected with cordyceps….there’s little hope to be found out here by yourself!
Imagine this; You and a couple of your friend take a break from the investigation to head to the festival, only for it to get spookier over time, before finding you're being hunted by a cult. You make it through the forest, finding strange clues everywhere, before you are captured by the cult. You're too late to stop the beginning of the ritual, but you can still stop it! Your friends hold back the cult members while you rush their chanting leader with that katana you... Woke up with after passing out in the school that one night. You slash away at him but he never stops, before you land the final blow...And the being goes away... You and your friends leave quickly.
“Horrible Old Man,” has got to be one of my favorite names for an rpg enemy of all time
That background to the fight too, it's amazing how the boss backgrounds are usually unique
