    A culture of mine is doing something I wasn't expecting. The flies seem lethargic. I am feeding them to praying mantids and a surprising number of mantids are dying. Could the 2 problems be related?

    Great video. I'm getting ready for my panther chameleons that will be hatching soon. I'm not sure if there is any difference or not but can you use bread yeast or does it have to be bakers yeast?

    I have watched your older video on this as well... I have all the info (watching over and over again lol) Im pretty sure I got your measurements of everything but the flax seed. Could you please tell me that info!? One more thing is the nutritional yeast best for the H.FF or the M.FF! Thanks for all the great videos!

    Where in Canada can you find those vented lids? I'd like to move away from mason jars, as all my drilled lids are rusting.
    Also, any reason you don't simply have _all_ your dry ingredients pre-mixed in a container, ready to go?

    • @MikeTytula
      @MikeTytula  7 років тому

      You can order them from the states, or buy them from frog places like Jungle jewel exotics, or integrated exotics.

    • @balzonurchin
      @balzonurchin 7 років тому

      Oh, thanks. I browsed the websites of both of those vendors, & neither of those places advertise culture containers on their websites. I guess I'll be emailing them.

    Hello. I think your videos are great. Could you please tell me if i can move my smaller than a dine dart frogs into their bigger tank? I have a 20 Gallon but some space is being taken up by the backdrop and sides.

    Hi Mike! I have a question, l have been told that mites will appear in your fruit fly cultures, how do you keep from spreading the mites from your cultures to your dart frog tank to your house? I don't want a house full of mites! I am looking to get tinks, can you feed them crickets, or another insect as a staple. Thanks Sheila

    • @MikeTytula
      @MikeTytula  3 роки тому +1

      Well... mites live virtually everywhere (including in your hair and your eyebrows, regardless how much you shower and scrub haha). These are grain mites and won’t spread to the rest of your house. I use diatomaceous earth to prevent the spread of mites though.

    do you need to do brewers yeast as well as nutritional yeast? I see you do two cultures of each separate not in one container?

    • @MikeTytula
      @MikeTytula  5 років тому

      I would say stick with the nutritional yeast over the bewers.
